Inside Moriarty's office, both Moriarty and Sherlock were thinking of the best course of action against Essex. They ultimately decided to rescue the mutants while alerting the police and let the authorities handle the rest.
"Send a team to rescue them. Warn them to be gentle while relocating Essex's wife, the less she sees the better." Sherlock said to Moriarty.
Moriarty smirked, "I don't really see the point of acting so righteous but sure, I'll send the men."
Sherlock waved his hand to create a portal and looked back before entering, "Being kind and righteous when you have the means doesn't hurt. Remember Moriarty, make allies when possible, we will have plenty of enemies anyway."

Egypt
While Moriarty was discussing with his agents about the rescue operation, another unexpected rescue was taking place in Egypt. The team sent by Essex to find mutants had unwittingly awakened the very god of mutants, En Sabah Nur aka Apocalypse.
A man who looked nothing like a man but a bluish, grayish monster with muscles all over his body, even in places humanly impossible, walked out of the tomb as he spoke, "Are you the one who woke me up, child?"
The expedition leader who just wanted to make a quick buck by exhuming the grave of the supposed mutant god was scared shitless and only thought to pass on the blame to his employer, "N-no, please forgive me! It was Essex! He-he made us find mutants. He wants to create more mutants…"
The terrified man continued to talk about Essex's ambition of opening the path of human evolution and creating a perfect race. While he was trying to shift the rage of the resurrected mutant god towards Essex, the god in question was getting impressed by Essex.
"He seems like a brilliant man. He shall be my first horseman. Take me to see him. Let me assess if he is truly worthy." Apocalypse's voice boomed inside the poor leader's mind but he couldn't do anything about his confusion.
"Cer-certainly my lord! Please come." He could only take the terrifying man-monster outside the tomb toward the camels.
Apocalypse looked at the camels and asked, "How far is he… I'll just check your mind, don't resist."
Before the guy could speak, Apocalypse looked through the expedition leader's mind and gained a general idea of the current area and where Essex was currently.
"It seems there is a need for a lot of changes in this world." Apocalypse then teleported himself and the group of mutants towards London.
*************
Just as Apocalypse was headed for London, two figures popped out of empty space. A redhead woman and a guy with strange glasses looked at the disappearing Apocalypse with evident panic.
"We missed him. He was supposed to wake up a week later. What happened?" The man started to panic and look around frantically.
The woman sounded much calmer, "Let's go to London. He must be going after Essex, we can make it! Get the teleporter ready!"
*************
Over at the Essex House, a group of men dressed in police uniforms knocked on the door. They didn't look like the typical London cops instead they looked more like soldiers.
Visibly nervous at the sight of cops at her doorstep Mrs. Essex holding her pregnancy bump, opened the door, "How may I help you, officers?"
The cop in the lead spoke, "Ma'am we have been notified that a killer is on the loose around these parts. We are here to search this whole neighborhood. It'd be safer if you could just take the carriage back to the station while we check your house."
Intimidated by the cops and fearing for her child, she readily agreed and walked toward the carriage while the cops entered her house. But just as she was about to board the carriage, sanity prevailed.
As she looked around the houses nearby, she didn't see any cops or unusual movements. Suspicious, she walked back in and looked for the cops, not finding them there she walked towards the backyard shed, and there she saw the underground bunker door open.
It was her husband's laboratory which he forbade anyone to enter, including herself. Fearing that something was wrong with the cops, she quickly entered the room to find a shocking sight.
The cops were freeing some 8 people from inside the cages and one bound on the surgery table. They were calming the captured mutants, "Its fine. We are here to rescue you. Essex isn't here, he can't harm you now. We will take you to a safe place."
Hearing and seeing all that, Mrs. Essex couldn't handle it and fell to the ground which alerted the men. Looking at her and instantly understanding the situation the leader came to help her.
"You weren't supposed to see that Ma'am. You should've just gone back. Your health is important, especially since you are expecting a child." The cop spoke while helping her out of the bunker.
Mrs. Essex asked, "Was that all true? Is it really Nathaniel? Why? Why did he do such a horrible thing?"
"You should stop there Ma'am. Your husband is a bad man. He hurt others, but it has nothing to do with you. We will take care of the people down there, other cops will arrest your husband. You should just take a rest, not for yourself but your kid."
Mrs. Essex just nodded and slumped on the sofa. She was in a daze for a long time. Even when the cop came back to say that they were leaving and that they would take her to the hospital, she just nodded and sat there in a daze.
I'm not quite satisfied with this and the last chapters. Let me know what you think of them.
Enjoy!
