Orion has never seen anyone like this man standing but 30ft from her. His beauty and confidence radiated off him. Stunned by him she couldn't shake his graze. Couldn't catch her breath. Her heart pounding out of her chest. She was sure the whole room could hear it.

The way he stared at me, as if he could see straight into my soul! After a few moments passed and my father cleared his throat. And my mother straightened herself and flattened out her skirt anxiously in the seat next to my father, hands now in her lap. "Orion" she says with a soft but crisp tone "nice of you to finally join us."

You couldn't tell by looking at Orion and her mother they were actually close, her mother was just cold, the opposite to her father. Having been raised to be a queen from practically birth she had been fated to her father, they shared the mark. The mark was given to those at first touch. Those marked were destined for one another. The mark was two silver crescent moons that burn itself into the palm of each of their right hands. Orion loved and hated the story. The idea her mother never had a choice made her heart ache. But then at the same time to know there is one person in this whole world who is your equal in every way, that will love you unconditionally even after death. Was such a romantic notion. The mark was given by the Goddess Calithian, she weaves the fabric of life to connect these two souls for eternity.

"Now that everyone is here, we can begin" I rolled my eyes at my mother as she spoke. Before she could continue I interrupted her "well good cause someone here better explain to me what has Marcy almost in tears."
"Well if you would be so kind to shut up long enough I guess you'll here why." My mother growled back.
"Okay, darling" my father lightly touching my mothers hand, "Riri, we have something to discuss with you." He began, "come sit" he gestured to my usual spot by the book shelf, a soft night blue chair, large enough to fit two people. I do as I'm asked. "Please gentlemen have a seat." The two men in suits sit down. It takes everything I have to not look over at him. "Riri" he began again looking at me," I had hoped to speak with you this morning, but I was told you weren't at your studies again, so I am sorry to drop this on you in front of everyone , it's inappropriate but we are running short on time." That was his nickname for me. He continued,
"I know this is going to be a shock, and I know you're not going to like hearing what I have to say, but you have to understand, none of us truly have a choice, I really need you to know that." His voice had a tremble to it.
