She Is His Best Friend

I sat on her seat and she walked in, obviously surprised to see me on her seat. I deliberately placed my legs on the desk and pretended not to see her. She walked to my front. "Excuse me, you're on my seat."she said but I behaved like she wasn't there. She tapped my legs. "Can't you hear what I'm saying?"she asked. "What are you going to do if I don't stand up? Are you going to call your mummy?"I asked and she hissed. "Just get up and mind your business."she said. "Well I won't."I said with a smirk. She sat on a little space on the desk. What was she doing? A teacher walked in. "Everyone get settled."she said. "Miss are you a new student here? What seems to be the problem?" the teacher asked and she stood up. "I'm sorry ma'am, but this jerk won't leave my seat."she said and everyone exclaimed. What did she just call me? A jerk? She's gone too far, I'm gonna show her how a jerk behaves. I stood up from the seat and turned to the teacher. "Ma'am, I never knew this was her seat. She just barged in and was arguing with me."I said and I could see she was shocked. "What.."the teacher interrupted her. "Miss, this is a school. You should not behave like it's your home. A little courtesy would be appreciated."the teacher said. "But he was the one at fault here."she argued. "The classmates are all witnesses to what she did, right?"I asked the class. "Yes ma'am."they all responded. "What?" "Please have your seat miss."the teacher ordered sternly and she had no choice than to sit down quietly. I went to my seat smirking. I'm sure she'll be cursing me right now. *** Meet Kyla, a sixteen years old girl who was orphaned from a very young age of eleven. Herself and her little sister, Daisy. So your tears were fake?

"Your girlfriend?" I asked. "I believe she broke up with you." I said and he was pissed off.

"Will you tell me where she is right now?" He yelled at me.

"She's not at home." I said and walked back to the sofa.

"I know you are lying.. Kyle.. Kyla." He called and ran upstairs. He later came downstairs. "Did she go to the mall or salon? Or a park, tell me where she is." he ordered.

"I'm not gonna tell you." I said.

"You have to tell me, I need to talk to her." He said seriously. I thought for a while and smiled.

"If you want me to tell you, then you need to say please." I said.

"What?" He asked.

"I guess you are too proud to say please. I'm not telling you where Kyla is." I said and I folded my hands and looked at the TV.

"Okay please, please, please where is Kyla?" He asked and I smirked and stood up.

"Well.. Kyla is out of the country." I said and his jaw dropped.

"What do you mean out of the country?" he asked.

"I mean, Kyla isn't in this country. She left the country." I said.

"I know what you mean but what the fuck do you really mean by that?" he asked. Ok.. this guy is crazy.

"Are you a psycho or what? Kyla is in England with her parents as we speak." I said and he stared at me, slowly sitting on the ground.

"No.. that's not true. Kyla can't leave me like this. No way, it can't be." he said and I snapped at him.

"And why can she not leave? Why won't she? You are always hurting her, what reason does she have to stay here?" I asked.

"But.. I'm sorry." he said like a whisper. I noticed he was crying. I felt bad and sorry for him. I walked upstairs and took the wristwatch and walked back downstairs.

"She wanted me to give you this." He said and he took the wristwatch and stared at it sadly. He kissed the wristwatch . Why am I feeling this way? I felt sad seeing him cry. I knelt beside him and touched his shoulder. "Stop crying." I said, even if I had the urge to make fun of him.

"I want her to forgive me. I realised that I made a mistake. Violet was just toying with me. I'm really sorry I didn't put Kyle first, I was a fool, I was stupid.." he kept on lamenting and crying. I could feel his sincerity. I wish there was something I could do. Why do I hate seeing him this way? I prefer his annoying self than this sad Jeremy. If I talk to Kyla she would not believe he has changed. I sighed.

"Jeremy I think you should go home now, and stop crying." I said.

"How on Earth would I do that? I just can't. Please call her for me, I've been trying to call her for some time but she hasn't been answering." he said.

"That's because she changed her number." I said and he sighed.

After sometime, he left. I called Kyla on the phone.

"Hey Grace." she said.

"Kyla, guess what?" I said.

"Just tell me." she said.

"ugh.. you are so boring." I said.

"Thank you." she said and I rolled my eyes.

"Ok, your boyfriend.. or should I say, ex-boyfriend, recently came to look for you." I said.

"What did Jeremy want?" she asked in a nonchalant way.

"He wanted to apologize to you. Gosh, you should have seen the way he cried when I told him you were out of the country." I said.

"Serves him right." she said.

"But Kyla, don't you think you should forgive him? It wasn't entirely his fault you know. And I saw the genuineness in his apology. He really meant it and I can tell that he really loves you." I said.

"And how would you know that?" she asked .

"Girl it's rare to see a guy cry and more importantly for a girl. You are really lucky to have him. He sees you as a gem." I said and she scoffed.

"Oh please.. how do you know he's not faking it? Anyone can cry, I cried too..."

"So your tears were fake?" I asked.

"No but.."

"So how do you know his tears were fake?"

"Listen Grace, I can't be with someone who values another girl than me. I refuse to be a second priority. I don't want to hear anything about Jeremy.. it's over between us." she said and hung up.

I can't believe she wants to let go of a guy like Jeremy. He's every girls dream guy. Oh well, it's her choice, not mine.

KYLA'S P.O.V

I laid on my bed feeling sad as usual, I didn't feel like exploring this new country, which I would have loved to do, had I not been in this condition. I heard a knock on the door.

"The door is open." I said, not standing up. Mum came in and sat beside me. She was all dressed up, like she's going to a party.

"Sweetheart." She called stroking my hair gently.

"Mummy." I called.

"We are going to the Queen's palace for dinner and I want you to come with us. You're always in your room and it's not good. You need to lighten up. Jeremy is not the only guy in the world." she said.

"Muuuum." I groaned.

"Ok I'm sorry.. but you have to move on. If it's meant to be, then it will be." She said but I didn't say anything. "Get dressed and meet us downstairs in 15 minutes, ok?" she said and stood up and left.

Maybe it's not a bad idea anyway. Maybe I might forget about Jeremy. I stood up and went to my closet. What should I wear? This would have been easier if Grace was here. I wore a purple gown which was above my knees and I wore a white heeled shoe. I brushed my hair after putting on my jewelries. I took my phone and a little sling bag. I walked out of the room and walked downstairs. They were waiting for me already. Daisy was playing games on her iPad.

"You look so beautiful." Dad said and I forced out a smile. We walked to the car and got in. Daisy and I sat behind. I looked out the window as the car drove. It was really a beautiful country.

Soon, the car stopped in front of a huge masterpiece. It was the Queen's palace, Queen Elizabeth. I guess mum and dad are really special to dine with the Queen. We alighted from the car. We were led by one of the servants inside, to the dining room.

Wow, the palace was amazing. I don't know how to explain it but it was so beautiful. The Queen sat at the end of the really long dining table. She was a middle-aged woman.
