"Mom? Dad? Where am I?" I asked as I tried to get my eyes acquainted with the light in the room. I felt a bit light headed, there was also a slight pain in my head.
"Your at the hospital baby." My mom said looking a bit worried as she came to help me sit up.
"Chris brought you here." I heard George say from the corner of the room then I heard him murmur something like why I was always such a pain. I don't think mom heard it or she just chose to ignore it, dad stood beside the hospital bed watching us like he wasn't even here.
"The doctors said you had a concussion and that was why you fainted right before getting into Chris car." mom explained.
I remembered Chris pulling over and telling me he was to take me home but that was the last thing I remembered. Her explanation seemed reasonable but I couldn't imagine I actually agreed to get into Chris car besides he was also with his friends, it felt like something was missing. I didn't know what it was but something really felt off but I didn't want to make my mom any more anxious than she already was so I ignored it and nodded. The doctors did a full body check up on me then discharged me.
"Finally!" George said when we got out of the hospital. "Can I go to the Edward's house now?"
"I'll drop you off there." Dad said as he got into the car, that was the first and only sentence I heard dad say for the rest of the day.
Mom treated me like I was a porcelain doll all day, she even asked if I wanted to be ungrounded but I just couldn't care if I was grounded or not so I said no.
The next day when I got to school Maurice stuck to me like glue, she even followed me to my classes although she didn't offer the class. She told me how Rose and a bunch of guys were found almost completely naked in the hallways the day before.
"Maurice, did something happen?" I asked her when she followed me into another class that she didn't offer.
"Why would you ask that?" She asked feigning ignorance.
"You've been following me all day like I'd die any second." I stated watching her suspiciously.
"You were so sick you couldn't come to school yesterday of course I'm worried about you." She said.
I didn't want to press her for answers any further so I just nodded and prepared for class. After class I headed to the library to catch up with the classes I missed the day before. Since there were no other classes for the day and it was already four in the afternoon, Maurice left saying she had to attend a show with her dad. She didn't sound convincing but at the very least she was no longer stuck to me so I didn't point out her lie.
"You seem quite relaxed after what happened." Rose said as she came up to where I was seated.
"What's that supposed to mean, what happened?" I asked, did she mean my concussion or their situation yesterday?
"You... Don't think you'd get away with what you did." She huffed then left in anger.
I kept staring at her back till she left the library, what happened that made Rose lost of words and so mad at me.
I eventually ignored it, Rose was a bitch and could be mad at anybody for no reason in particular so why care.
At five I went to the gate to wait for dad to pick me up, he came about five minutes later. As usual dad was quiet all through the ride like he was brooding over something or so.
"Dad you've been acting a bit too reserved lately, what's up with that?" I asked halfway through our trip.
He didn't reply, he didn't even look like he heard what I said.
"Dad?" I called out to him then tapped his thigh slightly. He jerked back immediately then gave me a look that said he wasn't too happy about me scaring him like that.
"Can't you leave me be for a sec?" He almost yelled.
"Sorry dad." I mumbled then kept quiet.
This chapter is a bit short due to some certain reasons one being that I didn't want to add meaningless words just to make up for length please forgive me (^_^)
