5: Fighting Lance

{Before the meeting of Rou and Lance}

So now I have to fight 5 of the bunnies I barely beat before!

"What if I die while facing those damn monsters!" *You can't die while you are in the stadium, however you can be one step away from death. Like I said before if you want to defeat the fairy then you'll need strength.*

After hearing that I knew that I'd have to tuff it up and fac them. I want to, no I need to kill that damn bastard not just for what he did to me but I can't be weak anymore. Now that I'm in this world I can't be the same child that has panic attacks when things aren't going my way

{10 Mins later}

I manage to do it. I defeated them, even though I feel like passing out I managed to do it, and from that I managed to gain the SP I craved for so badly.

*Very nice. It seems your quite proficient in hand to hand combat, could be muscle memory from your past life. But your rest period is over, please begin you second battle.* Then suddenly 15 more rabbits appeared, and that's when I knew that I was going to die.

I finally managed to defeat all 15 of them and I felt even closer to death than I did before. It felt even more humiliating knowing that Aries was watching me, *You grow more and more through battle, quite a good skill to have.* That's when I quickly checked my status window and then I saw it.

After assimilating with those monsters more and more, I managed to upgrade the skill quick step to multi step.

"Why didn't you tell me that I can upgrade skills."

*There's a saying that practical work overshadows verbal speech.* "You stole that from my brain didn't you." *Maybe.*

{Back at the battlefield}

"So how you been shitface. You miss me?" It was quite visible that Lance was shook, the human he thought was no more than unneeded garbage suddenly managed to catch one of his attacks. Not only that but he could even sense a little mana coming from him. He even got a little taller.

"So you are a demon!!!" Then suddenly Lance felt a spear in his arm as he was now latched onto a tree. "AAAAAAHHHHHH!!" Then Azuriah using his newly enhanced multi step appeared in front of him.

"How does it feel? Knowing that someone you beat around 30 minutes ago is now looking down at you from the heavens." Azuriah saying this with his red eyes glowing and a menacing smile. Lance shook beyond belief couldn't help but start shaking. Then Azuriah ripped him from the spear throwing him on the floor.

"It feels bad doesn't it." As Azuriah started kicking Lance in the stomach. "You feel like there's no escape from your reality." He then picks up lance by the collar and starts going to town while saying, "I hope your feeling worse than I did. I hope you feel humiliated as your getting beat down by a human in front of your fallen comrades."

But after that Lance had enough of it, using his wings he coated them in light mana then moved them upwards to escape his grasps.

"You want to talk big you bastard. I'll show you true strength!!!" While Lance was hovering in the sky all Azuriah could do was look to the skies smirking as Lance was powering his attack.

It was a massive ball of light with a diameter of 2m but using multi step Azuriah jumped straight up bouncing on the air before completely penetrating the ball, grabbing Lance by his neck then slamming him straight down creating a small crater.

Before then flash stepping back down grabbing his hair then throwing him through a mass of trees.

Then appearing in front of Lance he said, "I don't have very long since I have to start going soon but I will put you out of your misery small one."

And before Lance could say anything in return he felt a hand pierce through his chest, ripping his heart out.

*Very well done yet again, you showed sound understanding of how to use your powers to the best of their ability. Your training was very helpful.*

"Yeah whatever you say psycho. Assimilate."

That's when black mist was released from my body and slowly absorbed Lance.

*You gained 15 SP as well as the skill Light assimilation.*

That's around the amount I hoped for and that skill would be pretty useful to. I'll spend 5 in every category, that should help round at my abilities well.

Something else I noticed about the system was that the health category grew by itself. It could be something entwinned with my durability.

But anyways I need to get back to the other problem at hand.

That's when I used the multi step to get back to where Rou was quickly. There was something major I was going to ask the system about him. But first I need to convince him to come with me.

When I got there I saw the exact same scene that was in the anime which was him curled up with Gerheade.

"Yo, I can't help but notice that your in a little bit of problem." Thats when he looked up at me to see my face before saying, "I thank you for saving my life back there, but if it's alright with you I'd like to be alone for my final moments."

Now this was the situation I was most scared of. If he didn't budge and decide to come with me then I'd have to leave him here since gloxinia was coming back soon and we all know how that went.

"You know I want to listen to your final wishes but unfortunately I have to take you." Then flash stepping I managed to knock him unconscious before putting him on my back and taking him to the pond where I healed my wounds after facing Lance.

We really had to get a move on cause I wouldn't put it past gloxinia to destroy the whole forest after seeing what happened to his sister.

After we finally arrived at the pond I put him in there to soak before asking Aries, "He has the same soul wavelength as Ban doesn't he."

*You pick up quick. He does in fact share the same wavelength as ban. And to answer your real question he should be able to access his abilities.*
