Series of One-Shots That Might Become Their Own Series.

Just some shit to write when I'm being a lazy bastard and not writing chapters for my current stories out right now.

Haha? Am I Invincible?

"You know, when the world went to crap, I didn't expect to find myself with strange powers because of it." Helen happily chatted.

The sound of a bullet being fired from a chamber echoed throughout the dark underground. A flash and an inhuman scream of agony rang out with a giggling fit followed soon after. The multiple screeches shouted out in response to the giggling "Oops. Maybe I shouldn't laugh after killing a monster." Helen said aloud to herself.

"I feel like I'm going to level up soon killing all these monsters though. I mean I can feel something filling up inside me after killing these goblins. Am I absorbing their soul or just gaining exp? Like, I don't know anything!" Helen continued to go deeper into the dungeon.

The small group of goblins were at the mercy of the human girl as she tore through them with a strange lack of remorse and even glee. Helen fired a single bullet at the crowd of goblins. The bullet pierced through the air as it flew its way to the first goblin. It easily slid through the monster's skin and penetrated its forehead just as a strange swirling vortex appeared behind its head. The vortex swallowed the bullet before another one reappeared next to the head of another goblin. That goblin was soon deprived of keeping its brain matter in its skull before another portal appeared on the exit wound of the second goblin. Helen's bullet continued to drill through the heads of the group of goblins with a single bullet before they all dropped dead.

"You know, if it was before the world turned into a monster paradise, I would never be able to do something like that." Helen revealed. "Like, I was barely passing math with a C-. In P.E. I had a D+! Now after killing some monsters, I feel I'd be a straight A student!"

"That makes me wonder when they're going to start up school again. Are they going to include classes to train people how to fight monsters? Maybe a gun shooting class, power training class, monster biology, weapon training, and survival classes! If I knew the world was going to go to crap, I definitely would've studied more about wilderness survival." Helen was definitely upset about that last one.

It hasn't been that long since the giant crack in the sky appeared and monsters suddenly became real. Helen has been feeding herself off the corpses of monsters and snacks from abandoned stores. Whatever is that stuff that's filling up inside her body after killing monsters, it helped stave off the hunger. She felt that it simply made her more resistant to being hungry than actually filling up her stomach with souls or whatever.

"Whoa buddy, you're a big little ugly thang, aren't cha?" Helen whistled as she looked at the 10 ft or 11 ft tall goblin rippling with muscle and a big freaking log.

As a 5'5 teenaged girl with a disappointing body and ache, Helen was jealous of this ripped muscle god in front of her. He was probably the Adonis of the goblin world. His good genetics helped Helen feel a little less bad about ending him. Him being this well off meant that he's probably lived a good life so far. Just being that tall alone was unfair to the rest of the world.

"Grrr..." He growled at Helen.

Helen fired multiple bullets at his head. A portal caught the mass of bullets before several portals appeared catching, swallowing, and spitting out the bullets back into other portals. Then a portal appeared behind the big goblin's head. It was turned into Swiss cheese without being able to showcase his strength at all. Helen was overwhelmed as she felt the mass of his soul raging inside her body.

"Ahn!!!" She couldn't control herself as her body locked up in pleasure and energy.

Helen could feel something forming at the base of her spine. Something was etching itself into her skin, blood, bones, and even soul. It wasn't painful but a feeling so intense that Helen blacked out in the middle of the process. When everything went dark, Helen could briefly see a two-faced figure in the darkness staring down at her with four eyes. It gave a thumbs up and then a wave before disappearing.

By the time Helen woke up, a silver treasure chest was floating above the body of the big goblin she killed. As a rational girl with a rational mind, she instantly went over and opened it. A bright light blinded her from seeing her rewards but soon died down and revealed itself. Helen grinned as she grabbed the items inside and put them on the floor.

A thick fist-sized jar filled with red liquid. A perfectly cooked giant T-bone steak on a plate and a pretty blue gem that Helen couldn't help but grab. She felt a similar feeling to how she felt when killing monsters and realized this thing must be a soul gem! No wait, energy gem! Helen tried sucking it up in her body, but she was completely full after killing that big goblin.

So, she tried the next best thing. She smacked her handgun against it and tried to put the energy into her gun to make it an energy gun! This way, any bullets shot out of her gun would be energy-enhanced and could do more damage to stronger monsters once she finds them. Surprisingly enough, it worked.

Helen managed to transfer the energy that couldn't fill her up anymore into her gun. The gun glowed with a blue light and eagerly sucked it up. Once the energy gem was completely tapped out, it shattered apart before breaking into grey dust. After that, the gun reverted back to its original black design with just a bit of gloss on it now. It looked shinier and no longer dull.

Once that was done, Helen eagerly dug into the meat with no reservations. Sure, she should've at least licked it before devouring it. As a test of sorts to see if it was safe. I mean no normal person would eat a cooked steak from a treasure chest without seeing if it was edible. But Helen was kind of starving and really didn't want to exercise that much caution with that delicious meaty smell constantly flowing in her nose. If she died, then she died. You know they say that humans died for greed while birds died for food. If she would've died for food, then all would have been right in the world as food is one of the necessities of living.

Dunno what inspired this one, mc wise. The setting is just another generic dungeon invasion type setting.
