The Last Goodbye?

"Taylor, what do you mean Porsche is gone?" Wennes inquired with a mixture of disbelief and concern in her voice.

"He left. I found these notes," Ken explained, holding two pieces of paper. "One for us and another for Anna."

Wennes, visibly worried, asked, "What did he say in the notes? Where is he?"

Ken, with a solemn expression, replied, "He mentioned he needed some time away. There's confusion and turmoil within him. He asked us not to worry. His phone will be off. As for where he is, he didn't specify."

Wennes, holding her head with concern, questioned, "What should we do? Are you planning to follow him?"

Ken responded, "No, not this time. He needs space to sort things out. I'll be returning tomorrow. In the note, he asked me to stay with his mother until he comes back. I guess it's time I take on that responsibility."

Concerned, Wennes asked, "Who's been taking care of his mother until now?"

Ken sighed, "There was a maid, but now he wants me to look after her. At least until he returns."

Both Wennes and Ken sat on the bed, their expressions reflecting deep worry for Porsche's well-being.

Anna, soaked in rain, stood at the door, a torrent of emotions evident in her eyes. Ken opened the door, and both he and Wennes were taken aback by Anna's distressed appearance.

Wennes, showing immediate concern, stood up and began to ask about Anna's condition, but before she could finish, Anna spoke with urgency, "Where is Porsche?"

Wennes exchanged a glance with Ken, uncertain of how to break the news. Anna, noticing their hesitation, repeated her question, this time with tears streaming down her face, "WHERE IS PORSCHE?"

Ken, attempting to find the right words, began, "Anna, he's gone."

Anna's eyes, filled with worry and disbelief, searched Ken's face for an explanation. Tearfully, she inquired, "Where has he gone? Did he go for a walk? But it's raining heavily; he must—"

Interrupting her, Ken stated firmly, "Anna, he's gone. He has returned back."

Anna's eyes widened, struggling to comprehend the reality of Ken's words. The room filled with an uneasy silence as Anna processed the unexpected news.

As Anna struggled to find her voice, she questioned, "Wh-wh-why did he leave?" Ken, maintaining his composure, gently replied, "He left this note for you," handing over the letter that Porsche had written.

Anna, her hands trembling, unfolded the note. The words penned by Porsche conveyed a mixture of emotions, remorse, and a sense of closure.

"Anna, I assume you've received the bracelet by now. I'm relieved that I could return yours, but I regret losing mine—the one I vowed never to part with. Despite my efforts to locate it, I couldn't retrieve it. I've held onto these bracelets for the past 14 years. Back then, after losing you, I made a promise to myself that I would protect you with my life when I found you. Now that I have, I question my right to be your protector.

Our connection transcends mere friendship; you've always meant more to me. I'll remember you, even if you forget me. You deserve the best life has to offer, and I sincerely apologize for my recent unruly behavior. My wish for you is to find happiness and fulfillment in your life. Every second of my existence has been spent thinking about you, and I will continue to do so. I've grown accustomed to living with the memory of you. You are a precious thing to me.

Regarding the wallet, I retrieved it from the dustbin. I admit to being somewhat unhygienic; it's a facet of my character. Farewell, and take care.

Den,"

Anna, overwhelmed with a myriad of emotions, clutched the note close to her heart, tears streaming down her face as she absorbed the weight of Porsche's farewell words.

Ken held Anna's hand gently, understanding the turmoil in her heart. "I know where you're headed, Anna. But you won't find him right now," he said with a reassuring tone.

Wennes, feeling the weight of Anna's emotions, joined in. "Yes, Anna. I understand how much you want to see him, but just wait until tomorrow morning. You can leave with Ken, and we'll find him together."

Anna's eyes were filled with sorrow, tears streaming down her face. "I can't wait until tomorrow," she cried.

Ken, still holding her hand, spoke with a comforting sincerity, "Anna, I promise you that I'll take you to him. But you need to wait."

While the three of them stood there, Wennes received a message, and it was from Taylor. The message read, "Wennes, can you see me right now?"

Ken inquired, "Who is it?" but Wennes, not wanting to disclose the details, simply said, "Just someone." Taking Anna's hand, Wennes guided her to her room. She gently helped Anna lie down on the bed, covered her with a blanket, and said, "Anna, I need you to rest until tomorrow morning. If you need anything, just text me."

Anna nodded, her eyes still filled with tears. Wennes then left the room. On her way, she called Taylor. As he picked up, she asked, "Where are you, and is everything fine?" Taylor didn't reveal much and responded, "I'm at Lake Minnewanka."

I hope they will meet again!
