Caring for other human is mistake?
His eyes were emitting fire which only Xiao Xing noticed. The way Xiao Xing was holding the fainted omega in his embrace was making his blood boil undeniably but only for a few seconds. As soon as another voice landed on their ears their thinking stopped and they tore the gaze from each other.
"What happened to Zhuo Cheng?" Zhang kai said instantly as he saw the scene before without failing to notice his best friend's new attitude towards his other friend. He squeezed Xie Jayden's shoulder lightly while asking Xiao Xing a question.
"I don't know but he was shivering and then he just fainted." Xiao Xing said in a worried voice. "Zhang Kai, can you pass the water?"
Understanding the demand Zhang Kai got the glass of water and sprinkled a few drops on Zhou Cheng's face. But it didn't seem to work and Xiao Xing's heart sank in the darkness.
"Zhang Kai, please help. Can you please call someone to help him?" Saying this he looked down at Zhou Cheng's pale face.
"This happened because of me...I should not have scolded him." Xiao Xing mumbled to himself when he felt Zhang Kai moving away from him but failed to notice the other furious alpha was still standing on the door whose eyes and ears were rooted on him.
"Why did you scold him then?" Xie Jayden let out as he took the steps forward near him. An unexpected question almost took him by surprise and the emotions that lingered in Alpha's eyes made him shudder.
"Jay gege, it...it was just an official matter. Nothing...nothing else." Xiao Xing answered with uncertainty what strong alpha was expecting of him.
"Official matter or p..." Xie Jayden leaned down near Xiao Xing and was about to question when Zhang Kai immersed near him and stopped him from lashing out.
"JAYDEN...Can't you see he is already scared? We need a doctor to check on Zhou Cheng first." Zhang Kai came forward and squatted down in front of Xiao Xing who was still holding Zhou Cheng in his embrace while looking at Xie Jayden.
"Let him rest on a bed first. The doctor is coming in five minutes." He said while taking Zhuo Cheng to the joint room to the office of Mo Yuan which was specifically designed for Mo Yuan to take rest when he will be tired by Xie Jayden.
"I will come back in moments, you stay with him, A-Yuan, don't worry." He said while he left Xiao Xing in the room. When he came out he saw Xie Jayden standing near the window of the office.
"Xie Jayden, this is not the right time to say anything about it and secondly what if he is a changed man now? You told me yourself about it, remember?" Zhang Kai said, putting his hand on Xie Jayden's shoulder.
"I know it's unbearable but you need to win him back and most importantly give him time to adjust to your feelings. For him, it is too much pressure from all the sides and it has taken a toll on him, can't you see?"
As words left his mouth, the dominant alpha turned around and hugged Zhang Kai in second.
"I will die if he tries to get away from me again."
"He won't. This time we will make sure of it. I promise." Zhang Kai promised his best friend but little did he know how false his promise was in front of the destiny that was already written something that they will never be able to wipe out.
"You take Mo Yuan to your office. I will stay here with Zhou Cheng. Trust me, I will take care of him." Zhang Kai said it and broke the hug to go back to the room.
When Xie Jayden saw his best friend going away he controlled his emotions and waited for Xiao Xing to come out but waiting for a minute was unbearable for his broken heart, he slowly stepped towards the room.
"A-Yuan, go with Xie Jayden. He wants you to meet, a few, board of directors." When Zhang Kai said it, Xiao Xing came out of his thoughts of Xie Jayden's angry demeanour that were haunting his mind like a ghost and in anxiety, he asked him a question about the starlet, Zhang Kai.
"Where is my brother? I want to talk to him."
Zhang Kai looked at him with surprise and realising the second blunder he just made Xiao Xing cleared his throat to say more.
"I mean, I want to meet Mo Jin. I need to know about my other schedule." Xiao Xing lied very effectively with a scowl on his face just like Mo Yuan. "Zhou Cheng fainted before telling me about it."
"Oh, yes yes. I understand but Xie Jayden asked grandma about your whole time today. So, he left to go to his office." Zhang Kai came closer to Xiao Xing and put his hand behind the delicate omega's back. "I think you must go out with him now. You know he hates it when someone comes late."
"But what about, Zhou Cheng? I can't leave him like this." Xiao Xing said firmly rooting at his position but without knowing the effects of it on alpha standing in the door again.
"Why can't you leave him? He is not alone here, Zhang Kai is staying with him till the doctor comes." Xie Jayden whispered and yelled at him but not backing up on his ground Xiao Xing again argued back.
"That is exactly what I am saying. He will stay only till the doctor checkup on Zhuo Cheng. Who will look after him afterwards?"
"What are you trying to say, Mo Yuan? Don't you believe that he will be taken good care of?" Xie Jayden roared an intimidating omega by standing exactly in the proximity of Xiao Xing. "Why does Zhuo Cheng need you when there are other people around him?"
"I...I was just thinking...I..." Xiao Xing stumbled not understanding what to answer him, not knowing why the dominant alpha was getting angry.
"Xie Jayden, Stop it. You are overreacting." Zhang Kai whispered coming near Xie Jayden. Xie Jayden turned around and closed his eyes to control his irritation.
"Is taking care of others bad? Am I not allowed to care for another soul?" Xiao Xing's pleading sweet voice when roamed in Xie Jayden's ears, all his senses went numb remembering the same thing that Mo Yuan said while they saved Oreo from dying in cold weather.
"A-Yuan..." His lips blurted out very softly with still closed eyes. "Are you truly back this time? Or am I dreaming?"
"I am sorry if I said anything wrong but I just thought he is my secretary, so I should care for him." Xiao Xing said while coming near Xie Jayden and slowly put his hand on his forearm to turn him around slowly.
When Xie Jayden looked at him, he saw the light of Xiao Xing's eyes come back and he smiled looking at him only for seconds but that moment was enough for Xiao Xing to get relaxed but little did he know that it was his big mistake to care for others in the coming future.
