Big Babies

Dee blushed and had to hold onto Jake's back suit before looking at Dominic while Jake rolled his eyes at Dominic, "fuck off."

Lifting his hands in a surrendering manner, he left them and went to pick something from the cupboard, Jake looked at Diana who was now looking at his suit, "why don't you wear the navy blue suits?" She asked as she felt the material of the black suit she had on today.

Jake looked at his suit and raised a brow at Dee, no one has ever told him to change the colour of his suits, he always feels like black is the colour that matches his skin tone but turns out someone wants to change that perspective and he doesn't know how it will go if he takes another turn from what he is used to.

"Why do you think so Hun," he asked as he took a seat beside her.

Dee sighed and looked at him, "I just feel like black is so Cliche and a change is better sometimes hun, also I read somewhere that, a skin tone like yours is good with it, just a suggestion don't kill me," said Dee as she gave him her back and focused on the book that was in front of her.

Jake was not done with her and had to spin the chair so that she can face her, "I don't have anything navy in my closet, well except for the jeans that are navy blue but I won't mind having a shopping date with you this evening after your exams to help change my wardrobe, hun," Dee smiled and nodded to his words.

"If only I get to buy one thing on your bill, I don't mind going with this snack_looking big baby for my shopping," she said seductively making Jake steal a kiss on her cheeks.

"Are you picking him over me, I remember I was the one who took you for the first shopping," said Dominic after he overheard their conversation.

"He did? When and why didn't you tell me you needed to go shopping before taking this monster of an asshole with you?" Asked Jake with sneaky eyes at her.

"Okay, will you all shut up or I will sew your lips because you are making my head hurt with all your arguing, are you babies that need to be breastfed, good because my yogos are not ready for your foul mouths to taste it!" Shouted Dee when they both started arguing about who was supposed to take her shopping.

She knew she could pick any one of them, but before that, she feared asking Jake to take her shopping so she asked Dominic who was going to buy a present for his girlfriend and she tagged along, she felt like they will start a little fight over her and Jake will be pouting like a baby because of that.

She jumped from the seat and placed her book inside the bag that held her laptop and some other small necessities before checking her handbag that was beside it for other sanitary needs that she knows were important.

Dominic and Jake were quiet after her outburst and seemed shaken by her shouting, they didn't know she was this tough. She had slapped Jake on her cheeks and she didn't fear, right now she has just lectured them on how to behave, looking at each other they knew this will be tough for them, "wow, it's like having Clare once again," whispered Dominic.

"We are sorry," they both chorused making Dee halt in her step and smile before looking at them, "good, because I need my ride today, anyone ready?"

She walked out and didn't wait for the answer but she felt some noise behind her, 'they are still fighting on who is going to take me to work, I will enjoy this.'

She walked to the lift and left them to finish their argument. Opening the lift, she saw Jake walking towards it and closed it quickly before seductively flaunting her fingers at him.

"Morning Miss Kings, how are you doing?" Greeted her chauffeur.

She sighed in relief knowing that her chauffeur is there and she doesn't have to deal with big babies fighting about it.

"Morning Sir, had a great weekend?" Asked Dee as she walked to the already opened door.

"Yes ma'am, sorry for not popping in Saturday, the big boss had me drive him to his house," he said and Dee nodded.

"Josh, stop the car," Dee heard Jake's voice from the lobby and she was not ready for his little drama, she has a chauffeur and she wasn't going to stop and allow him in, "no, just drive, nothing is going to happen."

Josh looked at the mirror then at Dee, he didn't know if to stop or just go, he knew Jake will fire him if he does not stop the vehicle and Dee will get mad that he disobeys her order.

'Whose orders should I obey?' He thought to himself.

"I can't ignore the big boss, I am sorry," said Josh and wanted to walk out to open the door for him but Dee tapped him in the shoulder, " I am your boss, he can deal with his frustration later, plus his driver is around," warned Dee and he decided to ignite the car leaving Jake frustrated at the lobby with Dominic standing next to him but was thrown with a punch out of his face.

"You will have your punishment!" Dee saw the text from the notification bar ask she was busy checking for any important information from Nathan.

"Not today, just make your peace with Dominic before you start your war with me, darling," she closed her phone and removed the textbook to complete her reading.

Arriving at The Atlantic Lobby, Dee admired the huge building in front of her, she was grateful for the biggest dream of being its manager, she didn't know how her guardian angel manages to help her throughout the day but she believed that she will make it, step by step. Mumbling a short prayer, she walked out of the car after Josh had parked the car at the rear end of the building.

Dee jas never wanted anyone to know she is the manager around, though he employees know who to answer to, the people who come in and go without reaching her office don't know her as the manager. She wanted to keep a low profile and so far it was working best for her.

"Thanks, Josh, you are excused until later," said Dee as she picked her bags out of the car.

Josh bowed at her and nodded before watching her use the private elevator.

She walked to her office and realised that she was in early, she smiled at herself and walked to her office, doing her little mantra, which included some calming music for two minutes, a humidifier and bars of chocolate she settled down to check her schedule for the day.

It was not a busy one, meaning she had the whole day to herself which included an exam that begins at ten in the morning.

"Morning beautiful," came Nathan's voice from the door with two cups of coffee in one hand and the other hand was hidden behind him making Dee wonder what she was hiding.

She raised a brow and looked at her, "what's with the happy face this morning?"

Instead of talking to her, he flashed the bouquet of roses that were in the other hands making Dee's ears turn pink all of a sudden.

"Awww, are these for me?" She asked in excitement.

"I was asked to deliver them, so they are your boo, tell me what happened to make you get such beautifully handpicked roses today," asked Nathan.

"Who asked you to bring them?" Asked Dee in a shocked expression.

"Read the card," said Nathan as he pointed the card in between the roses that was tied with a red ribbon.

Nathan walked out closing the door slowly behind him, Dee held the flowers in her hands and walked to the window with the card in her hand. She looked out of the window as if the person who sent the flowers was waiting for her. Below the building.

She opened the card and read the words in it, 'you are more beautiful than these roses, hun, sorry for being an asshole earlier and success in your exams, jeep them beside your exams and you will pass, love you, your big baby!"

Dee chuckled at the words in the card, she had to write a note to herself to get a memory box for the card, she wanted it to be special.

The day was dragging itself slowly and she felt bored but when the time came, she had to zoom her class and check her exams in the school email. She wanted to focus, so she asked Nathan for some time off and walked into the small pent room, picking the flowers from Jake that were now in a vase she placed them beside her as she began to write her exams.

Paying all her attention to every detail on the paper, she didn't even notice Jake had walked into the room to check on her before walking out again.

Taking her position, he watched the amazingly organized office, the computer placed ok its place and the pen holder was neatly placed near the bar that held her name. Jake saw her phone was beside the table and it was giving the green light, he wanted to check it but he restrained his hands from it, but it buzzed again and he picked it up and saw 'unknown caller' on the id.

'She is my girlfriend, I don't this it's wrong to take a calm for him,' he thought as he Ide to answer the phone.

"I thought you were going to ignore me, darling, can't you give me a second chance on the deal?" Came the voice from the other end.

Jake clenched his hands into a gist and almost broke the pen in his arms into pieces. He knew that The Boston would be disturbing Dee after she declined the deal.

He ended the calm and went straight to the call log, he saw she had thirteen missed calls from the same number and a text message from Bob asking if they can patch things up.

He didn't know why Dee didn't bother telling him about the calls, he could have taken care of it. He left the office and decided to face The Boston himself. He didn't have any problem with Bob, but his dad acted as she was something he won't entertain.

"Dominic, want to get a punching bag today, apart from me?" Asked Jake over the phone.

"Hell, yeah, if it's not you for today!"
