Watching a train wreck

Brian was dumbfounded.

He had thought that he had given the perfect detail to make his story believable. 

How could he have known that it would end up exposing his lie instead? 

He opened and closed his mouth like a fish, but no words came out. 

"The doctor did not know what was going wrong, until we tested the supplements that Sienna was taking," Damon turned the screen to show everyone. 

Sienna's face was drawn, but she remained on her feet. 

"I took that everyday," She whispered in horror. 

"I… I gave that to her," Grandmother Wright uttered in equal horror. 

A ripple of concern went around the room as Grandmother Wright swayed a little. But she gritted her teeth and stayed upright. 

Damon turned to both women quickly. 

"We replaced them the moment we suspected," He assured them, "Sienna, the ones you've been taking are from Dr Bernard himself."
