His hand roamed jerkily until it touched something cylindrical - a glass, it must have been what he had been drinking.

He smashed it on the floor, making Vivianne squeal and blindly, he reached around the floor until he touched a shard.

Then he clenched the shard tightly in his fist, feeling sharp pain bloom in his hand and warm blood drip down his fingers.

Vivianne gasped and he took advantage of the burst of clarity that the pain offered to force his eyes open and lunge upwards, slamming into the wall as he lost his balance.

Without pause, he groggily looked around for the door and staggered towards it.

More than once, his shoulder hit the wall but he just squeezed the glass shard tighter and kept moving.

The door seemed to change location even as he swayed towards it and finally, his hand caught the doorknob and he spilled out into the corridor.
