Chapter 14

Sedora walked the corridor that lead to the servant's quarters she wanted to go check on Clara.

She noticed how the maids bowed at seeing her even the twins Harriet and Henrietta bowed to her she couldn't help but wonder how people change easily if they stand to gain she sighed.

When she got to Clara's room she knocked but no one responded she instantly opened the door to see that Clara was sleeping soundly with relief washed all over her face, and she smiled.

She tiptoed to take a blanket to cover Clara she noticed how the room was clean and there was a tray with food and milk for Clara.

She was worried because Clara had not touched the food ,she decided to wake her up to eat she gently tapped Clara.

"Clara, wake up,"sedora said softly.

Clara slowly opened her eyes to see sedora her face brightened up with a smile.

" hmm sedora I was worried," she said and sat up her eyes looking at every part if sedora's body searching if sedora had bruises.

"I'm fine, why didn't you eat you need to eat Clara here eat this, "sedora said bringing the tray of food to Clara's lap.

"I didn't eat I was scared it was poisoned, as you know Henrietta isn't the kind to do these things, "Clara said.

" I know right, I asked her to and I also gave her a little punishment to remember me by,"sedora said and they both chuckled.

" I heard from those nosy maids that the king wants to marry you is that true," Clara said still having doubts.

"Yes it's true, the king found out where I'm from and Clara it wasn't easy today that king is crazy,"sedora said and laughed softly.

" spare me the details I know how crazy everyone is in this realm, I don't like the fact you didn't tell me you were a princess, I mean you are the heir to the kingdom of Ora I was shocked when I heard," Clara said amused.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to, I thought no one would believe me, "sedora said feeling sorry for hiding that one detail from her dear friend.

"It's fine, I heard you telling those slave traders about it and I thought you did it so they would release you," Clara said smiling.

" I'm sorry I'll tell you everything later, how are you feeling my dear friend?"sedora asked still worried about what had happened to Clara earlier at princess rena's castle.

"I'm fine just a little sore, do you intend on getting married to the king? Clara asked.

"Hell no, he's not my type and I have no intention of staying here but he didn't give me a choice,"sedora said with sadness in her eyes.

" I'll advise you to pretend for now who knows what he might do when you refuse he's dangerous, "Clara said with concern.

"I know, I just want to go home, Clara I miss my father, " she said softly memories of her and her father resurfaced.

"I know we'll find a way together but right now try to stay alive," Clara said and took the spoon from the tray she ate slowly.

" go now I don't want him looking for you here we'll both be in trouble "Clara added.

"Yeah, please take care if yourself I'll be back tomorrow, "sedora said walking to the door.

"Night sedora," Clara said with a smile which sedora returned and left closing the door behind her.

She walked slowly back to the king's room and hoped he wouldn't touch her, she kept on praying for God to help her through the night, when she got to the door of Louis's chambers she inhaled and opened the door.

She saw that Louis was already on the bed sleeping she got inside and closed the door the bed was big enough for ten people so she laid down on the bed close to the edges.

She didn't bother to change her clothes for fear that Louis would wake up and see naked while changing her clothes, she lay motionless staring at the ceiling she stopped for a second to check if he was still asleep she turned to face Louis .

Louis slept facing her direction so it was easy for her to see his face clearly she couldn't help but notice how handsome he was, his features were sharp and his sculptured face was the most handsome face she had ever seen he looked so peaceful while he was asleep.

She unknowingly raised her hand to touch his face before her hand could even touch his face he opened his eyes she was terrified.

"I'm surprised you don't want to keep to your terms, didn't you say no touching or did you want to sexually harass me while I sleep? I'm sure you know who the perv is now" he said with an innocent expression sedora want to scream her face grew hot.

" I'm not a perv, you should thank me I saw a bug near you and I wanted to kill it "she lied not wanting to look at his eyes.

" I see who the bug is, trying to harass an innocent man in his sleep, "he said grinning.

"Innocent? I can't believe my ears " she turned away from him she was embarrassed to her bones they both were quiet for some time sedora couldn't sleep she was afraid he would touch her while she was asleep and he knew what her little head was thinking he smiled.

"Sleep hamster' I like my women wide awake while I screw them yours isn't an exception, "he said loudly so she could hear.

Sedora pretended not to hear him she stayed still for a while and when she couldn't fight the sleep anymore she let it take her.
