K'xug stood in front of Hana, his eyebrows furrowed as he saw Hana holding the needle in a threatening manner, her bright blue eyes that used to be full of innocence were now utterly lifeless.
Hana surged forward, not recognising K'xug in the slightest.
It was as if anyone in front of her was just her enemy.
K'xug easily stopped her, wrapping his hand around her wrist and restricting her movements. Hana struggled against his strong grip and the frown on K'xug's face deepened.
"The moment Zeau struck you, it was too late."
He embraced her, his voice laced with pain.
"I'm sorry, Hana."
His wings wrapped around Hana and as light magic leaked out from K'xug, enveloping Hana. Hana was rendered unconscious within moments, her struggles coming to a stop as she closed her eyes.
"To be controlled to the point where you can't recognise any of us..." K'xug whispered out, the pain he felt in the depths of his heart reflected on his face. "Just how much did you suffer?"
