No, that won’t do. He can’t let that happen. But he feels a sort of fear spike through him at the thought of leaving Quinn’s place, of not seeing him every day, of knowing he’s not just right down the hall. He doesn’t want to be parted from Quinn—a thought which brings a whole new realization with it that he pushes to the back of his mind—but nor does he want to continue being a hindrance to him.
This has to stop. He needs to try harder, he needs to stop wallowing in the past and start living in the present and think about the future. Mary is right, he needs to accept that it happened and let it go. He knows it will still take time, that it won’t be instantaneous, but he’ll try harder. He has to.
