Faith’s Arrival

After 3 Days, Faith and her father arrived at his house in another state, and as they pulled up to the driveway, Faith couldn't help but feel a sense of anxiety wash over her. She had never met her half-siblings or stepmother before, and she wasn't sure what to expect. Her father, sensing her nervousness, gave her a reassuring smile before getting out of the car and heading to the front door. Faith took a deep breath before following him. As they entered the house, Faith was greeted by her two half-sisters and stepmother. They all looked surprised to see her, but also somewhat suspicious. Her father introduced her to everyone, but the conversation was awkward and stilted.

As they all sat down to dinner, Faith tried to make conversation, but it was clear that they were still strangers to each other. Her half-sisters seemed polite enough, but distant, and her stepmother barely spoke at all. After dinner, Faith and her father retired to the guest room. Faith couldn't help but feel disappointed by the whole experience. She had hoped to connect with her family, but instead, she felt more alone than ever.

As she lay in bed, she couldn't help but think about Daemon and how he would have handled the situation. He was always so cool and confident, never letting anyone or anything get under his skin. She wished she could be more like him. But as she drifted off to sleep, Faith knew that she couldn't keep living in Daemon's shadow. She had to find her own strength and her own way in the world, even if it meant facing her family drama head on.

The next morning, Faith woke up to find her father sitting at the foot of the bed, deep in thought. She sat up and rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

"Good morning," she said tentatively.

"Good morning, Faith," her father replied, turning to face her. "I've been thinking a lot about your future."

Faith's heart sank. She knew where this conversation was going.

"I think it's time for you to start thinking seriously about school," her father continued. "You can't keep running around with those boys of yours. It's not safe, and it's not the kind of life I want for you."

Faith bit her lip, trying to control her anger. She knew her father meant well, but she hated being told what to do.

"What about Daemon?" she asked, unable to resist. "He's a criminal too, but you don't seem to have a problem with him."

Her father's face darkened. "Daemon is a different story. He's dangerous, and I don't want you getting mixed up in his mess. You need to leave him behind, Faith. It's for your own good."

Faith felt a surge of anger at her father's words. How dare he tell her what to do? She was an adult, and she could make her own decisions.

"I'll think about it," she said, trying to keep her voice even.

Her father nodded, but Faith could tell he wasn't convinced. As he left the room, she lay back on the bed and closed her eyes. She knew she had some tough decisions to make, but for now, she just wanted to forget about everything and enjoy her day with the new her family.

Faith sat on the edge of her bed, staring out the window at the grey sky outside. She had barely slept the night before, her mind racing with thoughts of Daemon and the life they had planned together. But now, with her father's sudden move to another state, everything had changed. She missed him so much it hurt, and she couldn't stop thinking about the engagement ring he had given her just weeks before. They had talked about their future, about building a life together, but now it all seemed so far away.

As she sat there lost in thought, she heard a knock at the door. It was her stepmother, who had been nothing but quiet and unwelcoming since Faith's arrival.

"Good morning, Faith," her stepmother said with a smile as she entered the room. "How are you feeling today?"

Faith forced a smile, trying to hide the sadness she felt. "I'm okay," she replied quietly. "Just missing home and everything that's familiar to me."

"I can imagine," her stepmother said sympathetically. "But I want you to know that we're here for you, and we'll do everything we can to make this transition as easy as possible for you."

Faith nodded, grateful for the kind words. As her stepmother turned to leave, Faith couldn't help but blurt out, "Do you think I made the right decision?"

"What decision?" her stepmother asked gently.

"Leaving Daemon behind," Faith replied, tears welling up in her eyes. "I love him so much, and now I feel like I'll never see him again."

Her stepmother put a comforting arm around Faith's shoulder. "You'll always have a choice, Faith. And if Daemon is the right person for you, then you'll find a way to be together, no matter what."

Faith smiled weakly, feeling a glimmer of hope. Maybe there was a way to make it work, to find her way back to Daemon and the life they had planned together. But for now, she knew she needed to focus on settling into her new home and making the best of the situation.

On the other side, Mr. Baltimore- Faith's father, had already left for work. He wasn't keen on resting up until he has taken down that criminal organization.

Mr. Baltimore sat in his office at the police station, surrounded by files and documents related to Daemon and his crew. He was determined to root out everything he could about their criminal enterprise, and he was making progress.

As he sifted through the files, he came across the name "Hailey" several times. He remembered Faith mentioning her as one of Daemon's associates, and he made a note to look into her further. Just then, one of his colleagues walked into his office. "Hey, Baltimore, we need you down in the tech lab," the colleague said. "We just got some new surveillance footage in from one of our informants, and we need your expert eye on it."

Mr. Baltimore sighed and stood up from his desk. He knew he couldn't let his personal feelings for Daemon cloud his judgement when it came to his job. He followed his colleague down to the tech lab, where the footage was playing on a large screen. As he watched the footage, he couldn't help but notice Hailey's skillful use of technology to run the operation. He made a mental note to have his team investigate her further.

After the meeting, Mr. Baltimore made a call to one of his trusted detectives. "I need you to look into a woman named Hailey," he said. "She's an associate of Daemon's, and she seems to be the tech guru behind their operations. Find out everything you can about her, and report back to me." As he hung up the phone, Mr. Baltimore couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He was one step closer to bringing down Daemon and his crew, and he knew that he had the resources to do it.

Faith finally woke up, headed downstairs and sat at the kitchen table, absentmindedly stirring her coffee. Her mind was still preoccupied with thoughts of Daemon and what her father might do to him and his crew. She glanced up at her stepmother, who was bustling around the kitchen, packing lunches for the kids.

"Hey, stepmom, what case is my dad working on at the moment?" Faith asked, trying to sound casual.

Her stepmother turned around, a look of surprise on her face. "I'm not sure, honey. Why do you ask?"

Faith shrugged. "Just curious, I guess. He's been spending a lot of time at the office lately?"

"Well, I'm sure it's just a busy time for him," her stepmother replied. "Nothing to worry about."

Faith nodded, but her intuition told her otherwise. She had to find out what her father was up to, and if it involved Daemon and his crew, she needed to warn him. As her stepmother turned back to the counter, Faith quickly pulled out her phone and sent a text message to Daemon.

"Hey, I don't know what's going on, but my stepmom accidentally mentioned something about Hailey being good with technology and you guys running some kind of operation. Be careful."

She hit send and then quickly pocketed her phone, hoping that her stepmom wouldn't catch her. She couldn't risk being caught and giving away any more information. All she could do now was wait and hope that Daemon got the message in time.

Daemon had been waiting anxiously for any news from Faith ever since she left. He had no idea where she was or what was going on with her father's investigation. He checked his phone every five minutes hoping to see a message from her. Finally, a text message from Faith arrived on his phone. Daemon's heart raced with fear as he read the message. He immediately called a meeting with Jake, Babushka, Savage, and Hailey to inform them of the situation. Hailey, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation, was not pleased.

"What is she doing? Why is she contacting you after all that's happened?" Hailey snapped.

Daemon was taken aback by her reaction. "She's just looking out for me," he said calmly.

Hailey's eyes narrowed as she glared at him. "And what about me? Am I not looking out for you? You know I can hack into anything and everything. I can protect you better than anyone," she said defensively.

Daemon sighed. He knew he had to tread carefully with Hailey. "I appreciate your concern, Hailey. But this is a delicate situation. We need to be cautious and avoid drawing any unnecessary attention," he explained. Hailey begrudgingly nodded her head in agreement, but her expression remained sour. Daemon couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for hiding his relationship with Hailey from Faith. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn't deny his feelings for Hailey either. He just hoped that everything would work out in the end.

Afterwards, Babushka led Daemon to the back room of their warehouse hideout, closing the door behind them. He folded his arms and leaned against the wall, looking at Daemon with suspicion.

"Okay, what's going on between you and Hailey?" Babushka demanded.

Daemon raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, she's been acting strange ever since you and Faith started dating. You two had a thing, didn't you?"

Daemon hesitated for a moment before answering. "Yeah, we did. But that was a long time ago. It's over now."

Babushka didn't seem satisfied with that answer. "Is it really? Because it doesn't seem like it. Hailey's been giving you looks, and she's not exactly thrilled about Faith being in the picture."

Daemon sighed. "Look, I know it's complicated, but I'm trying to keep things professional. Hailey's a valuable member of the team, and I don't want any personal issues getting in the way of our work."

Babushka nodded slowly. "I get it. But you need to be careful. We're in a dangerous business, and any distractions could get us all killed. Keep your head in the game, and don't let anyone get in the way of what we're trying to accomplish."

Daemon nodded in agreement. "I hear you. I'll be more careful."

Babushka patted him on the back before heading back out to the main area of the warehouse. Daemon leaned back against the wall, his mind racing with thoughts of Hailey and the complications of their past. He knew Babushka was right – he had to keep his head in the game if he wanted to keep himself and his team alive.

Meanwhile, Hailey sat at her desk, typing furiously on her laptop. She had just read the text message Faith had sent to Daemon, and the jealousy was eating away at her. She couldn't believe that Daemon was still in contact with his girlfriend after she thought she'd be away for sometime.

As she continued typing, she found herself contemplating what she could do to put an end to the communication between Faith and Daemon. After a few moments, she smiled to herself, feeling confident in her ability to use her technological skills to get what she wanted. Hailey quickly got to work, hacking into Faith's phone and monitoring her messages to Daemon. She felt a sense of satisfaction as she read through their conversation, feeling as though she had the upper hand. But as she continued, her smile slowly faded, and a sense of guilt began to set in.

She couldn't help but think that her actions were wrong, and that she was just making things worse. Hailey realized that she had let her jealousy get the best of her and that she needed to talk to Daemon about how she was feeling.

Hailey closed her laptop and walked over to where Daemon was sitting. "Can we talk?" she said softly. Daemon looked up, surprised to see her standing there. "Of course," he replied. Hailey took a deep breath and started to speak. "I know I've been acting crazy lately, and I just want to apologize. I've been so jealous of Faith, and I let that get in the way of our relationship."

Daemon listened intently as Hailey spoke, feeling a sense of relief that she was finally opening up to him. "It's okay," he said, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "I understand how you feel, but you don't have to be jealous. I'm here with you, and that's all that matters." Hailey smiled, feeling grateful for Daemon's understanding. She knew that she still had some work to do to overcome her jealousy, but with Daemon's support, she was confident that they could make it work.

Daemon needed air, so he decided to take a walk - He was feeling overwhelmed as he walked through the dimly lit alleyways of the city. His mind was filled with thoughts of Faith and Hailey, and he couldn't seem to shake them off. He knew he was in a complicated situation, and he didn't want to hurt anyone, but at the same time, he couldn't deny his feelings.

He stopped by a small café and ordered a coffee. As he sipped it, he pulled out his phone and reread the messages he had received from Faith and Hailey. He knew he needed to make a decision, but he didn't know what to do. Just then, he saw a familiar figure walking towards him. It was Savage, his best friend and fellow member of the organization.

"Hey man, what's up?" Savage greeted him.

"Not much, just trying to figure things out," Daemon replied.

Savage nodded knowingly. "I heard things are getting complicated."

Daemon sighed. "Yeah, you can say that again."

Savage put his hand on Daemon's shoulder. "Look man, I know this isn't easy, but you need to figure out what you want. You can't keep leading both of them on."

"I know," Daemon said, "but I don't want to hurt anyone."

"I understand, but you can't keep putting this off. You need to talk to them and make a decision."

Daemon nodded, knowing that Savage was right. He needed to face the situation head-on and make a choice. He finished his coffee and stood up, ready to confront his feelings and make a decision about the love triangle he found himself in.
