Chapter 1: The Administrator's Awakening
Morning gently dawned over the city of Lille, France, bathing the city in April's soft light. Léonard Gauthier, a 16-year-old teenager, awoke in his messy room. Posters of SCP and scattered comic books around his bed testified to his obsession with the mysteries of the SCP Foundation. Léonard was a diligent student, but his messy hair and dreamy gaze betrayed his passionate interest in the supernatural enigmas.
He dragged himself out of bed, quickly got ready, and slipped into his school uniform. After a quick breakfast, he hopped on his bike to head to school. The ride to school gave him a brief moment of tranquility, with Lille's streets still quiet and peaceful at this early hour.
In the school courtyard, Léonard met up with his friends around a table in the cafeteria. His friends were discussing their latest discoveries in video games and TV series.
"Did you see the latest episode of *Stranger Things*?" Hugo asked, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "The special effects this season are insane!"
Léonard smiled politely, though his mind was already wandering toward other horizons. He was well known for his unusual passion for SCPs, and his friends had grown used to it. He took the opportunity to share his enthusiasm:
"You guys should really check out the new articles on SCP-682. It's a nearly indestructible reptile. The story is really amazing!"
His friends exchanged slightly puzzled looks. Léonard was used to these reactions. He had gotten used to being the only one talking about these obscure subjects, but that didn't discourage him. For him, the mysteries of the SCP Foundation were a fascinating world, rich with intriguing stories and discoveries.
The rest of the day passed in monotonous routine. Léonard attended his classes with his usual attention, but his thoughts kept drifting back to the SCP articles and theories he had read. Subjects like math and history seemed especially dull in comparison to the supernatural adventures he explored online.
Finally, the bell rang, signaling the end of the school day. Léonard headed to his bike, waving goodbye to his friends. The ride home was quiet, with the setting sun casting a golden light over the city.
Back home, Léonard rushed to his room. He tossed his bag aside, kicked off his shoes, and settled in front of his cluttered desk, which was covered with books and notes on SCPs. His computer was on, displaying the SCP Foundation's website with its detailed articles and lively discussions.
Léonard sat down in front of the screen, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He began navigating between the articles and forums, savoring every moment spent exploring the mysteries of the SCP universe. Just as he was preparing to shut down his computer for the evening, an unexpected notification appeared on the screen.
He clicked on the notification, initially thinking it was an ad or spam. But this message was different, marking the beginning of something unexpected:
[Ding! Congratulations! You have unlocked the SCP Foundation Management System.]
Léonard stared at the screen with curiosity as the system's interface unfolded before him. A new chapter of his life was about to begin.
The message was accompanied by an interactive interface displaying elements from the SCP universe: maps, information on anomalies, and configuration options. Intrigued, Léonard explored the unfolding interface. It was composed of several sections:
- Status Page: Provides an overview of your funds, skills, and status.
- Dashboard: Gives a general overview of the current situation, detected anomalies, and available resources.
- Resource Management: Allows configuration of operational bases, ordering teams, and deploying equipment.
- Mission Planning: Offers details on current and upcoming missions, with specific objectives and information.
- Store: Permits the purchase and acquisition of units, bases, and equipment.
A welcome message appeared:
[Ding! Welcome, Administrator. You have unlocked the SCP Foundation Management System. Use this system to oversee operations, manage anomalies, and ensure the security of affected areas.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving Mobile Task Force Delta-4 "Safari Time." Delta-4 is a Mobile Task Force affiliated with the French branch of the Foundation, composed of 29 Special Intervention Agents and 1 MTF Commander.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for receiving 1 Mobile Command Vehicle and 5 Armored Personnel Carriers.]
Léonard clicked on the various options to explore the system. He discovered that the operational base had been automatically assigned, along with a specialized team to assist him with his tasks. The interface explained that this team and base were provided to help him manage and contain anomalies effectively.
Just as Léonard was getting familiar with the interface, new notifications appeared:
[Ding! Active Mission: SCP-939 Detected. Prepare to intervene.]
[ Ding ! SCP-939 File
Classification: Euclid
Appearance: SCP-939 are large, quadrupedal creatures with a vaguely reptilian and canine-like appearance. Their bodies are covered in bright red, translucent skin. They are eyeless and rely on heightened auditory senses to hunt and navigate their surroundings.
Effects: SCP-939 are known for their ability to mimic human speech and other sounds to lure prey into traps. Their speech patterns often imitate the last victims they consumed, adding a layer of psychological manipulation to their hunting strategy. Prolonged exposure to SCP-939 results in heightened stress, paranoia, and confusion in human subjects. They are also capable of inducing an amnestic effect through exposure to a specific pheromone emitted by their bodies, which can cause temporary memory loss in those exposed. ]
The message detailed that a nest of SCP-939— a creature resembling a red dog known for its ability to mimic the voices of its victims and its dangerous nature— had been located in an abandoned industrial complex nearby. The notification also specified that Léonard would need to coordinate efforts to contain the anomaly.
Additional information indicated that Delta-4, a specialized intervention team of the SCP Foundation, had been automatically deployed for the operation. A real-time map showed their progress towards the anomaly site.
Léonard watched in a mixture of wonder and nervousness as the members of Delta-4 moved toward the industrial complex. He could see their vehicles and equipment in action on the screens, drawing him even deeper into the unexpected role he had been assigned.

In a briefing room at a command post, a GIGN team was preparing for a routine operation. Sergeant Mathieu Dupont, a man in his thirties with a well-groomed beard, was in the middle of a discussion with his team.
"Listen up, we've received several reports of disappearances in the region recently," explained Dupont, pointing to a map of the area. "Witnesses have reported strange noises and suspicious movements. We're going to enter the forest near the industrial complex to investigate. Make sure to stay in communication and remain alert."
One of the GIGN members raised his hand and asked, "Sergeant, do we have any information about potential kidnappers?"
"None so far," Dupont replied.
The GIGN members, dressed in tactical gear, were taking notes and checking their equipment in preparation for the operation. Dupont gave final instructions on the procedures to follow, ensuring that each member knew their role and was ready to respond to any unexpected situations.
"Stay sharp and follow procedures by the book. We're dealing with a potentially dangerous situation," Dupont concluded.
The GIGN team moved towards the industrial complex, unaware of the SCPs' presence and that their mission would soon intersect with the SCP Foundation's intervention. Léonard, now the commander of a crucial mission, watched anxiously as night fell, knowing that far greater challenges awaited him.

Author's Note: Hey everyone, this is my first story and my very first chapter written. I want to clarify that this story will be a mix of multiple canons and will blend branches from several countries. Right now, we are focused on the French branch. Enjoy the read 👊
Side note: The GIGN is the National Gendarmerie's intervention group, kind of like the American SWAT.
