Chapter 3- Arc 1 The village of Aki
Journal entry, memories to remember my story: #2
Today I'm writing to the god that is also my wife about how my day been going so far....
The ambush was very much challenging by dealing with monsters which brings me to almost dying yet again, but at least I made it out alive and I manage to fight my way through the whole army, because they are not the same species or creature. Fun fact that even if it's the same creature for example like 'the demonic rabbits', they'll attack each which it's only me around this area as I guess it's like first come, first kill or meal in that case, But in the end I'm alive and well, I'll fill it with more information later on my journey, right now I'm walking 500 miles to a near or I should really say a far away village or city.
Nathan would close the book as it disappear in tin air, "I'm very fortunate to have a book that could disappear and reappear whenever I want". He look around the flower field as it appear to be an animal roaming around the place, "who would knew to learn that friendly monsters only roams around the flowers field and other places that seem life threatening but also safe because those monster don't even bother them when they at there spots, After these 500 miles of traveling I'll get there close to 7 or more days if these monsters wanna appear out of nowhere to kill me." Nathan stop for a moment to let the little creature pass with his parent, "something that just keep reminding me about what fate told me" He continue moving forward as the monster walk away from him.
A few long hours ago:
Fate: "Before I go Nathan there's one thing I must warn you about"
"what's that?" He came out of the water holding a couple of fishes
Fate: "During your long walk, you'll have to be ready for any kinds of monster that looks within the shadow of the fallen night" She fold her arms and watch Nathan as he cook the fish
"Fallen night?"
Fate: "In this world people and gods call it 'The fallen darkness because to my knowledge If you already notices before, The demonic rabbit you were fighting was far weaker then it was, If the night began to appear soon as it suppose to be, God only knows what will happen to u if the rabbit reach to it's full power." Fate take up a fish as she ate it in front of him, "just because I used my power to save your ass, doesn't mean I could do it when moon began to shine bright".
"I need to know what is your true meaning with me, For once I understand that you want to help me for my survival but I think it's not only that you're looking for?" He walk toward fate as his eyes was just looking for a meaning to understand what is his goal.
Fate: "All you need to know is how to reach to the village without getting attack by monsters, So I'll point you the way before I go and please don't get lost around that area. Just because you have a weapon to use, doesn't mean that you'll have a fighting chance". She give Nathan a kiss on his head and slowly disappearing as she show him the direction of where he should go. "Wait until the morning sun shine to your very eyes and try to keep yourself away from the flowers, okay?" before Nathan could stop her, she was already gone.
Continuing as he walk along the path and looking at the field "I couldn't shake the feeling why she want me to stay away from the flowers" He watch an animal stepping on the flowers as they fallen onto the ground unconscious. "Hmmm" Nathan wasn't surprise about it but he guess it was fate that lead the animal to his doom. "Thanks for showing me what would happen if I touch or smell the flowers, I'm going to name it the Moon white snow flower or white snow for short" Nathan continue walking away from the field as the wind blew the petals toward him "That answer my question about how it smell but I can't waste time just sitting around and enjoying this beautiful field".
Toward a distance from the rush between the roar that broke through the rumbling ground, Nathan heard something that was near to him
"..." As silent he was, Nathan drew his blade out and kept it down so the light of the moon that peak from the setting sun, Night was upon his mist as the area went dark but the flowers shine around him as the monster was there to greet him a welcome, "I'm at a point of a disadvantage.." Nathan walk forward as he kept his grip tight on his blade as readying to attack and defend.
The creature open six of his eyes which bring Nathan to a state of fear but only kept his guard from breaking down, As the wind blow carefully between him and the monster but with a single sight of a rain drop the creature dash toward him as the wind surrounds the monster from the image that Nathan saw when just to not attack but to evade away before they made contact. Just by then the monster touch the ground and throw his tail that he wasn't bring to its attention, The impact from the tail that contact Nathan, threw him far away into the flower field as he spat blood.
Nathan wipe the blood off of him and run toward the monster that take image of a monkey which has a long dragon tail and spider for it's eyes, not to mention that the creature has four arms, "This going to be a hard fight" Nathan swing his blade towards the monkey as it deflect his blade with its claws as Nathan been thrown but continue to strike it again to kept its arm from touching him, "First formation, stances of the forgotten" From the break of his sword, he moves swiftly as it strike the monkey arms as it bring the creature back, during Nathan attack the monkey defend it off but was grace a little. The monster let out a roar as its arms, legs and tail turn into blue flames and then use its tail again and swing it to Nathan. This time he jump over its tail and quickly block from the back slash by the monkey fist, "He's very using his tail as his strongest weapon but If I cut off his tail, I'll be able to beat it" just a second Nathan move away to the side as he was lucky from the monkey flame punch from reaching him, The monkey appear in front of him as he use his sword to parry away its arms as the monkey wanted lose balance to fully counter Nathan with a its tail.
The counter has thrown Nathan far away from the monkey and into the flower as it stroke him into a state of a stand still, "Shit.... I didn't think that the beast.... could be this strong" The monkey heal the area that he was wounded. "Talk about bad luck..." Nathan slowly got up as he notices that the monster wasn't moving toward him, Nathan look around to see why he's not moving, "I guess the flowers.... is a ticket to kept me safe from him..... but I can't wait until he leave" Nathan look around as more of the same monster appear in front of his eyes. "I'll be dead if they-" Nathan quickly evade the fire ball that was thrown to him as He rush toward the first monkey and cut off a part of his arm that burn the monkey as it roar in pain and anger. As for the rest to move in and readying to attack Nathan, "Nowhere to run but fight" He look around the area for an exit but the monkey block his path from making a run for it, As he ready up himself and swiftly cover his blade in the flower essence, "Right!" The moon shine fully as the rain fall onto the ground the Monkey fur change its color to shiver white and there flames turn to black.
As They move around Nathan and attack him one by one, Nathan grip his katana and strike each and every last one of them as the burn away to dust, from counter to strikes the monkey damage Nathan badly wounded him but he kept fighting until there was one left. "Damn it.... It's the same monkey That attack me first...." heavily breathing and trying to recover his strength, The monkey smile and show him something that got him in a shock, The monkey hold out his arm and create a kind of his own that began to rush towards Nathan as he quickly defeated it. "So that..... explains the endless army" Nathan continue to push himself forward and draw into the offends. The monkey rush toward him to toy and counter his attack but was struggling to kill Nathan as his sword was only cover in the flower that was keeping him alive, Nathan use the first stance to strike the monkey as it remove another of his arm. "I must be quick before it start getting seri-" from his though the monkey burst out in flames, drying the essence from his body and blade as the monkey punches his sword which the impact almost broken his grip and arm but Nathan going to bare with the pain and continuing to the attack him.
The monkey dancing around from striking in all of his might while Nathan is barely keeping up with his attacks but dealing a lot of damage within every opening he could get, The monkey gain himself away from Nathan and hitting his tail onto the ground as He had enough and ready to end it all in one attack.
As heavily as Nathan breathing and trying not to be unconscious but recovering what little breaths that he could take, he move his blade to the side and run toward the monkey as the creature claws appears into striking out from ever reaching to him. In his mind, Nathan lost the will in continuing to fight because he already knew that he couldn't even get close to the monkey even if he tap into his power by now. He pull away from the monkey strike to only grace his clothes more as The ground began to break as Nathan step his foot down from stopping his own movement and with a rush show the little determination and the will to live that's burning from his eyes. The Monkey broken the ground as he rush towards with open rage for Nathan to gather to all that he needs and just by the monster didn't appear to finish but to only realizes that when he turn to face him, Nathan would swing the blood off of his blade as in the moment before when the monkey was going to attack him, Nathan move under his claws and slash his torso in half as for the creature to move a step it fell apart and die right on the ground.
"I really hope that's the last of him...." Nathan stab his sword down to keep himself up but fell down on the ground as he became unconscious, Nathan tried to open his eyes as he wasn't able to do so but only to hear a voice that going about in his ear.
??: Are you sure we should take him with us, he could be on the enemy side just waiting to open his eyes and kill us all
??: You should rethink on what you just spoke because she won't be glad to see a dead body right in front of her eyes and she know that he's alive and still breathing but I wonder how could a person like us able to live and touch the winter snow?
??: It's just only poisonous that could take down an elder dragon but when I used my magic to analysis his states, health and strength. There's no read or any effects to tell that he's on the enemy team nor being poison but the last location he was staying on is the dead zone.
??: Don't give me that bullshit news....
??: I know it have times that I'll be messing with you but this time I'm not joking, he really was living in the dead zone for how long we don't know, well should leave it like that and enlighten our play mate with some fun for our trip back to the village
??: You're right with one thing and I should give u 5 shivers
?? What do u mean, old friend?
??: Don't make me say out load, he could be listening and going to laugh for what I just say.
??: Shush now It won't happen if you're talking about that one time with the chief-
??: Alright oh all powerful person that save my ass many time that I'm forever in your depth and whatever you want me to do I'll lick the bottom of your boots.
??: That's my best friend in black and white
??: whatever you say and lets just try to take him to the village so we don't have to waste time in this area.
??: You have a point with that, I should pat your back for coming up with this idea but I'm afraid that something is watching us.
Their conversation ended quickly because of a monster that was roaming around the place as they began to walk toward Nathan carefully and carry away from that area, Nathan as he wasn't in a state of holding himself to stay awake, he remember something about the girl talking to him while he was holding something but farther on, It became a faded memory. Between the journey Nathan tried to open his eyes as barely noticing another girl was kneeing down in front of him as she was holding out her hands to begin something as Nathan black out before he could recover himself.
During the morning shine, between a rain drop that fell onto his face while the wind carries the sound of children playing and singing along the trip, He slowly open his eyes between the moment of sitting up himself and carefully looking around the area. Nathan open his mouth as he couldn't speak out a word but came to realizes that he barely couldn't move around his body until he was greeted by a girl laying down on his lap.
??: she yawn for a bit before moving her head off and looking directly at him "Sorry for my bad behavior, I shouldn't do that without having permission from you but for some reason your heart always speak out in a way of something that I don't know?" She reach out her hand and touch his chest as his heart began to glow in bright red, "Your heart is far different from ours, I want to know where are u from and how did u get here?"
"....." Nathan took a deep breath as his heart change color to green, As calm as he is Nathan knew that he was in a disadvantage because within a moment to show aggressive to anyone else other than her, he wouldn't made it to see the bright of day and night.
??: She continue to stare into his heart from changing to another color as it was appear that she didn't know Nathan was trying to get her attention into moving her hand away from him, "Oh yea, I forgot to give u my name," She move her hand away and touch her chest "My name is Mari Aki and I'm the next rightist and the most powerful daughter to become the next queen of this country one day. It's nice to see you good and well but you're going to enjoy and rest your loyalty to me if you want to learn how stuff works in this part of the village"
Within His thought, Nathan look at the girl with a state of shock because he didn't knew that he would be lucky to face in a greeting with a princess and not to mention she was sleeping on his lap, also she very beautiful and would be a great women to be on his team.
Guard 1#: The man appear behind the girl kneeing down as he began to speak in a soft voice, "please forgive my interruption Queen Aki but we have some unwanted guess who seek in your power and wisdom" He stand up and slowly disappear "I would advise to send a small amount of men to kill them."
Mari: "I'll be there in a few minutes and tell my men not to engage the enemy, we don't know how many is out waiting in the forest but give the words to the people who could fight to leave the area and head into church to be summon into another of our village" She grip onto the sheet as Nathan barely move his hand on her to calm down. "I'll take him with me to see them so u better make sure that there's no bow men around us and the men on ground" The guard bow and fully disappear as then for mar to poke his chest as Nathan could move freely but still couldn't speak. "You're going to be my shield and weapon so please don't attack until I give out a sigh to do so." She stand up from her chair and slowly walk away "We mustn't be late now"
Nathan would got up and walk over toward the door as the sun was burning his eyes, So he cover them but quickly adjust to the light from then to walk with Mar.
Mari: "I'm sorry that I couldn't regain your voice, from the beginning of the battle with that monster, It has taking me to great knowledge from seeing how you could handle his attack at once which is really scary but very excited to learn that their weakness is the Winter Snow" She look at the children as they were running away from another child playing as the monster "When at first I thought you wasn't going to make it out alive from his clones and attacks, If I'm being honest I didn't have much faint to look it through and see for your safety as the moment came to me, I saw you were using the mana around to gain your movement speed and attack to take each of everyone of those Ember-claws."
Nathan was trying to speak out but couldn't say a word until Mar came to a stop and look around as they notices that the person was siting down drinking tea
??: "So you have finally show your face, Queen Aki" He rest down the cup and look at her with anger roaring within his eyes and face, "You shouldn't have kept me waiting for this long and I'm started to get sick of it," He reach down to grab a head as he throw it next to her feet, "I must thank you for sending me someone to give a king entertainment"
Mari: She hasn't move an inch of anger or sadness, her face was the same as Nathan first saw her, she wasn't showing any emotion or sympathy to the man that has fallen with her very feet "It's always the same with you Alex Rai-on, you kept killing people without anything holding back" she fold her arms and stare silently as he got off from his seat to slowly walk towards her.
Alex: "Do you have a problem with that my queen because if you do have one I would like to see you and that guy from behind to meet your early grave, or has it been not that you've ready to accept my offer in becoming my wife to save your country" He reach his hand out as Mar slap it away as he face gotten even colder "I see that your still have a of thinking to do" He look at a child that was walk by to lift up his pet as Alex look back at Mar "This is your last warning so I'm going to leave a little gift for you my queen".
Before Mari let out a word the child was about to be kill right in front of her very eyes as Nathan appear in front of Alex defend The child with his blade.
Alex: "Out of my way, you useless swordsmen" He'd jump back as Alex swung his blade towards Nathan as he counter his slash by parrying and kicking directly to his side which has thrown him off guard "You bastard, how dare you touch a king with your flint" Before he could begin his attack, an whole army loaded there bow and aim directly at him
Mari: "You had got over your grounds Alex," She stare towards him that shivers Nathan spine "You got your change to show your strength and dishonor right in front me and my newly husband" Alex stop in shock as Nathan didn't pay attention to what she just say but kept his guard and move in front of her.
Alex: "Well I guess this man got balls to pick a fight and steal you in front of my eyes," He draw his blade into the sheath and turn his back as he began to walk away "Count your days Mari because I'll be coming back when the time is right to bathe in the blood of yours and your husband" he disappear into the distance as Mari turn her back and fell to her knees.
Mari: "What am I going to do now, we have no where to run but fight...." Nathan look at her as she show no emotion but he knew that Mari was in a state of giving up, "I'm very sorry for bringing you into this but I need your help more than ever since you actually kept up with his movements"
Nathan would wonder to himself on how he was able to move that fast but even so if he do know the reason then he'd guest it's with the power that's now opening up to him during the fight with Ember-claw, "...." He still can't say nothing but to only pat her head as Mari slap away his hand and cover the ears "Do you have any honor in your family to touch what's sensitive to me" she got up and stare directly into his soul as he feel like knifes was stabbing into him.
Nathan bow his head down quickly to say sorry as Mari look at him, he wasn't in his wrongs but she did bring him into becoming her husband so she can't do anything about it.
Mari: "You're forgiven so please don't do it again until we're ready to settle things down with the next of our generation if you don't mind" Nathan pause for a minute to think about what she just say but try to think it another way but was lost in his thought of what is happening after he heard a voice that was barely familiar to him, "I-I-I-I didn't think you were able to hear my conversation with this kind sir.." She laugh a little before getting hit on her head.
??: "I shouldn't have made that bet with my damn sister!" She stare at Nathan and Mari as she flick her head "Why didn't you tell me that you were going to make him your husband huh!?" She grab her clothes and shake her around
Mari: "Ahhh, I'm very sorry okay, I was stuck in a predicament so I have no choice but he has safe a child from being kill" She got dizzy and going pass out in the blue if she did it any longer, "please stop shaking me Zara, I'm really sorry."
Zara: "Fine but just because I'm feeling nice today" She let her go and walk towards Nathan and hit his back, "You're one lucky guy to have a beautiful and very not so Good women to fell in love with u" Mari shout out "It's not like that Zara just please don't inform the others," She look at Mari "Are you sure that you want to rethink about what you just did right in front of everyone"
Mari look around the village as she notice everyone walk watching and greeting him a congrats on marrying the girl and was there to safe the child from that man
Mari: She cover her face and trying to bury the embarrassment, "Please kill me already just end my suffering.." Zara would hit her head and sigh "That really hurts you know and you should do something to keep her away from hitting me!" Nathan back away as in his mind that he wasn't going to be in that.
Zara: "Instead of trying to end your life early, you should look forward and prepare us into a battle that we might not make it out alive" She look up at the sky and hold her hands together, "Father would be proud of you for finally finding a man to-" She was frozen in place as Mari got up to walk away from her. (she'll be fine)
Nathan would follower her from behind and try to say something but is unable to speak out.
Journal entry, memories to remember my story: #3
Today I'm going to write about how my story is going so far to my lovely wife who is a god that's watching from above or somewhere in a creepy spot
After the fight with the Ember-claw, fallen in a state near death, I believe by what she has told me, Zara and her sister was the one who carry me out of the dead zone or The endless war of gods as they name it, To be honest I never knew that this place was summon in has many names to be call and calm to it but something that reminds me between who has given me the story of warriors that travel through and never came out alive. Moving forward Mari was still going through the embarrassment of calming me as her husband, but I don't mind with it because I know that she has a lot to learn and to take care of her people that's in need of help and courage to keep moving forward for the fight to come.
To give my honest fact, I really want to see you again and learn everything about what the world has to bring up with me being alive and well so during it I'll fill in more when I has the chance to recover everything that's still hurting in my body, Please come and visit when you're free from whatever you are doing up there. Love you
Nathan close the book as it disappear, "I really hope she could summon herself to help us in this fight because I'm not sure that he wasn't even using any of his power to keep up with me..." Nathan lay down on the bed as he close his eyes.
