Chapter 2- life between a goal and a will to learn

Nathan carefully watch the strange girl as she was kneeing down, holding a stick in front of him, "Who are you and where am I?", He slowly look around the area as he appear to be wondering in his mind. "What is.... this place?" before he continue to ask questions, A unknown Image appear right in front of his very eyes, interrupting Nathan when it flew pass them without a hint to make it out "What the hell is that!?" Nathan move back against a tree that was near by, shock from what he can't guess but still looking for what he barely see.

??: She would look surprise and quickly in attempt to calm him down "before you say anything on how you got here, let me give you my name first so we could settle it then" Nathan hesitated into agreeing with it but nodded as he's unaware to this area, "you could call me Fate and I welcome to your new life, within this place is where you were summon here to defeat the demon king to save us all! "she stay silent for a moment" or something like that"

Nathan look surprise but hold back on his excitement which was very short "Did I really got summon into this world full of magic and dragons to elves, Not to mention sexy demi-human girls!!" Fate look into his eyes that was fill with determination and mostly perverted stuff "I wonder what will be my powers and who'll become my guide during this epic quest that you're going to give me"

Fate: "lets not jump into action here now boy, yes I agree to all of your question that you ask, but you didn't give me a chance to finish my words and conquest" She got up from her knee and change form into a women "well just as you saw was my pet dragon. She's just patrolling around the field to make sure that no one would be able to interrupt our little talk." She fold her arms then to look towards the sky and then point to it. "from the sky above is where I'll be waiting and watching to see how far you have grown but before I go and leave my little birdy with something u would love because I'll explain to you the reason why I brought you into this world that knowns to call a place name Scourge Valley"

Fate: "I summon you into this world because you're the only one who been brought to your early death, from what I have heard you don't remember anything about how you came here without a reason, not to mention a god didn't explain the reason about who or what brought you into this cost of whatever it is. This world will be dangerous and full with wonderful quest to gather and a goal to calm, Even so I choose you because I find you'll be a great man to carry up a team that you'll lead to your goal in life." Fate slowly walk towards Nathan and flick his head "during this if you don't understand from where we stand into this, The real reason that I want you to assist me with this.

Nathan is trying to understand but got confuse along the progress of where she say the reason why she has choose him. "But why do you want me of all people to assist you with all of this"

Fate: "It's very simple because you of all people should have learn from all that Anime you been watching lately and those daily por-" Nathan quickly stop her from speaking farther, "fine then lets continue on the story of this world".

Scourge Valley once knew as a village full of magic and wishes to grant of eternal life, from many kings to warriors build territory from across the whole island to create many wars which you already know that brings a lot of blood baths. The archive always kept data of the new and old kings that bring there army to death but very close dreams from every reaching to that as they call the 'unknown angel'.

The unknown angel which in other words the eternal life give them the power of becoming god but you might know what cost will it carry to claim soon, For every deaths I should say that dwells in the living and dead, they have to work there way to achieve the unknown angel of eternal life but the limits brings to a blood of the one who awaken it from it's resting place. Fate walk away from the him as Nathan follow her around "This is just a wonder to my taste, and unknown fear that brings to a human eyes but just a bored way for a god like myself to just watch and let someone do there work, don't get me wrong boy. I know what is your true wish and slowly as I'm willing to learn how you would require to earn that goal of states.

Nathan reach next to fate as he walk with her "Be more pacific because I don't get what you're saying, an understanding on whether or not if you want my help or not but I guess that you learn from where I stand with my goals" Nathan stop for a sec as fate turn around to him.

Fate: "well all I could say that you're very cute for a men on your age, I bring you to do your first tasks" she pointed to an empty field "You job is to kill 1 rabbits before the sun set for the night to rise because at that time they are at there strongest. I'm giving you the easiest one to complete so you won't have any hard time when you're ready to begin your real journey" She float toward a tree and rest herself down to watch from a far as he walk out to the field, looking around as he just remember that she didn't give him a weapon.

"Fuck... I forgot to ask her to give me a sword to just kill off a rabbit...." Nathan quickly turn around and slowly move away so none of the creature would notices him "Oh god what am I supposed to do and how could I kill a few or just one rabbits that I don't know what kind of power it have. "He'd stop as he spot a rabbit jumping along the way of where he should be escaping from but before he could say anything, he kept silent to study it for a battle plan to see what they could create or destroy. "This is my change to learn from it but it's cute at least".

The rabbit jump around the area slow and careful as there was another creature just waiting and readying to attack the unaware rabbit, Just before then the creature was about to attack, The rabbit swiftly gain its attention to the attacker and during that second the creature was tears close to nothing but just as Nathan was about to move away from the area, the rabbit stop him from every standing up on his feet.

"Oh shit, That rabbit knows about my present and now it's either acknowledging my height to size.... or in power and strength" Nathan took a look at the spot where rabbit appear to be gone but within the right time He also move away from that location just as the rabbit came down to attack him, The fear really grew on Nathan as he yell out a scream that was given away the location that he flew from but from the ground that has broken under him was the rabbit in it's true demonic form.

Fate: "Oh dear, what is that boy going to do now?" From a far she continue to watch him as Nathan throw rocks at the demonic rabbit but failing to kill it or damage it at least because the force was turning the rock into dust as almost decapitated him. "well that was close but maybe I should help him a bit" She laugh a bit and continue to watch as He struggles to keep himself from ending his life into the rabbits attack "You can do it Nathan Just try and attempt tapping in your inner magic!!" Another rabbits appear behind her but with a flick of her fingers the creature flown out of the way and a paint of blood rest against the wall "don't try to bother me with my entertainment right now"

Nathan was running out of energy as continuing of dodging its attack and mana range, "If I mess up just even a second of that time matter this rabbit or whatever is that thing, going to turn my body into nothing but just blood" Nathan swiftly turn around and mange to punch it in the face hard as his hand was broken "Ah!" he try to recover his steps and in attempt to continue his evasion. Without an a moment to lose the rabbit use it's claws as it attack across his body but only grace him as he was bleeding not so much.

Fate: "Oh dear, something has to go out like this..." she look at the rabbit that was about to jump onto Nathan to finish him off just as he was rolling down the hill and then hit his back on the ground, Just as the demonic would use its mana to create a wind blade as it thrown directly to him from The rabbit to then jump from the hill as the ground left a mark on it, "Mana enhance" From her eyes, The area around fate began to freeze within time to watch this carefully as she notice Nathan was moving away from the wind blade and draw a katana from his sheath that just appear to him, "there you have it, something that was brought into this world with u" she would smile and stare in slow motion "just a little help I give u as a ticket of a gods will"

Nathan swiftly drew the blade and slash the rabbit arm clean off as the creature roll on the ground and roar with anger and focus in it's eye "There's no time to think about how did this sword appear in front for me to wheel it but I'm sure that she help me out to unlock something that was a part of something that I can't remember but it's still fill with cl-". The rabbit jump straight towards Nathan as the rabbits use its other arm in attempt to remove his head, as It appear to miss him when Nathan just move to the rabbit side ducking underneath Its demonic claws, He shift his body around as his blade went across the rabbit torso which leaving a gap open as the creature cover his side and use the mana to cast multiple wind blades to Nathan

Fate: "Oh dear once I have see how far you fight without my assistance, just build up my joy in fun and laughter but I have to blame myself for leaving you on your own for fighting that adorable creature without a weapon to just learn the life that you're going to face. Just only give a little assistance to u, It'll keep time at a snail paste and focusing your mind into knowledge to kill that rabbit because just as you known you won't get this opening every again from me" she move closer to the fight as time was completely stop within the cast of her magic, looking at Nathan with a creepy smile. "Just you wait and see what kind of world you'll face and please tell me what is that you want to seek in order to become what you wanna be" She move around Nathan sword as it deflect the wind blade second by another from every touching him just before she set time back to normal, she angle Nathan in a stands finished it off. with an open field, fate has rest herself down as within a snap of her finger "enhance release..... Saikai jikan"

The sound of a clock tick within Nathan ear at his point of view change only to see the rabbit wind magic slowly disappearing but to the point within a blink, he appear to move freely during that he notice the rabbit he was facing is already been beheaded.

Nathan look at the women with fear crawling up his spine just shivering down the cord of his body. Not even a word, he won't speak up nor even ask a question because death that Nathan saw within the women eyes and her smile "W-who..... a-are y-you really?" He back away slowly as fate summon behind him to give a little hug

Fate: "Just a god who have a liking in what you could do but as your first wife, I'm happy that you make it out alive", Given a little pat on his head, Nathan move off and sits on the ground just trying to gather his mind to not go in a panic "Don't worried dear, you'll get used to the journey that's only the beginning of what you just fought" She sit in front of him and poke his head.

"T-tell me this.... If I agree on becoming your knight.... would I be able to wish upon anything that I want?" Without even a second after that question fate agree to his answer as Nathan regain his senses, "And are you sure that your okay with becoming my wife even though you're a god right?"

Fate: "I have no reason and there's no rules that I could marry a human just you have to bare with my rules because when I need some good pleasure, you better have time to give it to me when I feel like I want it." Her smile shivers Nathan but in his mind he's saying his Thank to the god that send her down for him.

"Is it possible that I could have another wife?" Nathan stare into her eyes

Fate: "If you wanna be that kind of guy, I wish you the best of luck to fine the ones to help you in this quest of your goal" She stare back at him as fate move herself from seating and float towards a path between the mountains "follow me if you want to keep yourself alive"

Nathan run right behind her and walk at the same momentum as she flown next to him "I have a question that I want to ask"

Fate: "The weapon that you just draw during the fight is the sword that you made long before your death and when you got summon in this world"

Nathan look at her with many things that flew within his mind, "what do u mean? when I first got here, I don't have any equipment nor something that tap in to the power that dwells inside me"

Fate: "Yes it's true that you don't have any power as yet but If I'm being honest, the blade the drew from your hand was me bringing your sword into visualization to take your advance into beating the demon"

"I understand that was your help but at least you could show me what is the simplest way I could use the mana around this world?"

Fate: She touch the ground to stop for a bit then for her to glow into summoning her staff "listen and watch closely because this will be a quick spell or I should say..."

"Weapon Enhancement" Her staff began to glow into a burning flame as she cast a fire ball that was burning close to an earth cord that was melting through the mountain without leaving a rubble to collapse or to cave in.

"Being a god is really amazing and scary at the same thing" Nathan watch the open tunnel "Do you think that would be a problem if a god see you doing this?"

Fate: "Don't worried much dear, this area is death zone, no one could every appear within the eyes of never ending monster that is more stronger then that rabbit".

"don't tell me that they're...."

Fate: "To where you're going with this, yes they're only among the whole chain of monsters to hunt easily but not the strongest or the weakest of that if you wonder with there power strength" She began to float away from the area, "Now lets not wait here longer enough because right now you're going to begin the quest and task to begin and complete the goal that you wanna earn."

Nathan follow behind and continue down the path "I'm started to feel a little hungry from all the near deaths of my first battle"

Fate: "Well as your new wife I should make something for you but I don't have the tools or any fire to cook with" She launch herself more in the air to look for an area to settle down "Nathan I hope you're going to keep up with me because I don't want a husband to take long" Fate disappear as she dash off in the distance

"She left me to dead....." He began to run across the path until after a few hours, he barely made it to a near by lake, where she was getting prepare with something

Fate: "you took your time to get here, I have already prepare the meal so you won't have to die here" She laugh and give him a cook fish with some fruit.

"Thank you...." Nathan quickly began to ate every bite and left nothing behind "That's so good and why it have no bones in the fish?"

Fate: "Any kind of fish have no bones because It'll be more easier to cook, instead of wasting time by taking it out" She look into the water "The other reason, it's that the fish used there bones as a way to attack from a far so they could have a fighting chance but other than that when they eliminate there enemy" Fate point at the dead animal being consume by that say monster.

"I didn't know it could have a world that the fish has an upper hand on how to earn free food and be on top of the food chain" Nathan Look a bit discus about it but just brush it off and look away. "I'm very happy that you're still here with me when are u going away?"

Fate: "Just until I'm ready to take my leave but why are you trying to run your wife away because I didn't do anything wrong" She began to fake cry until Nathan hit her on the head "Just because I am a god doesn't mean It don't hurt you know" She rub her head a bit and pout.

"If I'm being honest, you're the one to talk because I almost die from a rabbit! A rabbit! and you just sit right there laughing your ass off for entertainment"

Fate: "don't worried yourself so much just as you know I have heal you and help to remove that little bunny wind attack because if I wasn't there, you would have die in the matter of seconds." She kill the fish that was going to attack "I'm not joking with the part of second before death with the bunny".

Nathan hardly rest his head on the ground "You're right and I'm very sorry and thank you for saving me from that monster!" Fate stare at him and laugh "don't laugh at me please because I'm at the wrong for what I say"

Fate: "You don't have to go out of your way to just say sorry to a god like myself to help out a human because the other gods that I know would make you do whatever they ask to just accept or not forgive on saying those words because most of them that I learn would kill you on the spot for just being pathetic" She move her hand on his cheek and heal the wound "Now come close and let me give you something to make you feel better"

"H-Huh!?" Fate move close to him, moving her hand away ("Is she going to kiss a virgin who spend his life having a list of porn manga not to mansion, that It's my first time that I ever kiss someone!?") From that moment when Nathan close his eyes and felt something on his hand.

Fate: She give him a kiss on his cheeks and move back "you could open your eyes now and you have to be sad that you didn't get anything out of it okay Nathan" she give a smile and rub his head

Nathan Look at what she give him and remember what it is "Is this my journal?"

Fate: "Indeed it is but It's not your real journal because I have to create from your mind that left off from your old life" She look away as her face turn red a bit

"You saw everything that I did before my death right" his expression turn dull and plain white as fate was apologizing many times as she can speak it out before getting stop by Nathan "lets just forget about it and move on with it please and try to remove it out of your head" She agree with him but deep down he knew that she was lying

Journal entry, memories to remember my story:

Today was very hard but not easy because I have to kill a very demonic rabbit and was very close to near death but my first to be calm as my wife name fate, save me in the last second to unlock or I would say a level up into me summoning skill that I created before in my old life. Sometimes I want to remember on who or what that I die from, but It's best not to know about it because I can't get my revenge on that person who take my life away and to also thank the person for bringing me into this world.

I'm not saying that I thank the person for that but I'm just lucky to be alive again to start something new.

Nathan hold his head as a faded memory appear within his image "I wonder who is that girl I just saw..."

Note to myself, I can recall of what did I learn about this but I'm sure who ever it is, I hope she'll be okay. after that when I got the book fate had to say her goodbyes and disappear without anything else to give me but just the knowledge and questionable answer on what may the world bring. The knowledge I got is how to defeat the monster and the fish that swim around in each lake and every part of the sea with was very questionable answer she could give me but it's already late for me to ask, It has been about 5 months since I been in the dead zone, making myself ready for any and everything that came to me but sometimes I been too close from dying but since living on strong with determination to do something new but in the end my power is something useful in anyways possible.

When the sun started to rise up to begin a new light that shine within Nathan eyes and heart as he began to walk away from the lake "This is where I shall begin as for it to become" he ate some fish along his continuing journey forward through the mountains "This is so good and I'm enjoying this even if I have to hunt for other kinds of food but I getting away with myself that my wife told me that across this path about 500 miles from here, is a city of Aki is where I need to begin the quest to live forever"

"AS MY GOAL TO BECOME AN ETERNAL GOD" The echo burn through the tunnel as many monster appear from every corner, ready to attack "Me and my big mouth" Nathan drew his blade and prepare himself to fight

I'm always going to be ready from anything that comes in my path but just on case I need to be careful on very overpower enemy to come.
