"Have you heard? Marquess Grant is not married after all with his mate, Marchioness Anais."

"I heard as well that he had done something horrible to his mate and he is now planning to marry the daughter from the House of Tanner."

"How can Viscount and Viscountess Tanner dare to engage their daughter to an Alpha who already had a mate?"

"How horrible of Marquess Grant of discarding his mate just like that."

"I couldn't bear the idea of how messed up Marquess Grant was. Has he no shame?"

I silently lowered my head and settled my hood over my head as I passed by through the town to the market to buy some stocks in Grant's manor as per request by Grant himself. I was told to wear a cloak with a hood to hide my face from the rumors that started to escalate in the town and probably it already reached the other neighboring towns from this humiliation.
