Midnight

She walked out of the kitchen with her thoughts somewhat clouded by a lot of things and above all. She hated the intensity of the rain pouring outside the structure of the building. It gave her deja vu of the night when her parents were killed. It made her feel weak and vulnerable and she hated feeling that way.

She was jerked out of her thoughts by a dog coming in between her legs and sniffing on her. She smiled; squatting down to ruffle its body.

"What's your name?"

She muttered into the atmosphere but instead; it was a bark that reached her ears. She had her eyes trained on it; fiddling with the tag on its neck.

Her lips pursed before pronouncing its name slowly. "Chase"

When she did; it was barking at her again but in a very adorable way. She wondered who among everyone here owned the dog then she settled that it must be Vera as she hit her as the animal person.

She rose to her feet about moving towards the left when Vera came up to meet her. She was soon swatting to pick up the dog before looking at Bridget.

"Right"

"Are you planning to go back home today?"

She asked her and Bridget turned her eyes to the horrid movement of the rain out there before looking back at her. Vera offered sensing her hesitation.

"There are free guest rooms. I would just ask Kate"

She muttered and Bridget nodded; following behind her without much of an expression on her face. She was lost in her thoughts.

Vera had a short discussion with Kate who was grinding back to back at whatever Vera was saying. She knew that they were planning something mischievous but she didn't think much about it.

Vera walked up to her later on; stretching out a key to her. It had a black tag on it with a number that looked faded out over time. She squinted her eyes at it.

She looked up again to thank Vera who was winking back at her, she didn't wait to make sense of that before she took her feet towards the sides of the stairs, walking down to the room number.

Everyone has retired for the day and on the other side; she could see Vera handing out guest room keys to Natasha and Jennie. She looked a little to the side, spotting Wells calling on the phone.

She looked away. After a little stretch in time; she arrived at the front of the supposing room; inserting the key inside and jerking the door open.

It was a room covered in ash color and devoid of flowers and pictures. It was plain and somewhat boring. She strolled inside; closing the door behind herself. She sighed tiredly.

First things First.

She had to clean up. She got rid of her tops; yanking them somewhere on the clean white sheets of the bed and then her bottoms. She walked towards the bathroom and closed the doors.

When she opened the tap and warm hot water began to trail down her skin. Damn. She knew that this was going to be a long bath.
