Alpha POV

I pull into the house. I want to see what the perverted little bastard is up to with Tyra. I have a terrible feeling about Tyra and Austin. Something was so off at dinner. I know he is on edge, but there was just something about how he was acting that set off numerous red flags with me tonight.

I hear screaming as I get out of the truck. I run to the door. I try to open the door, but it is locked. “Break it down!” I tell my guards.

My two guards rush through the door, and I follow. “HELP ME!” I hear Tyra screaming as I go into the house. I run toward the screams. Austin has her on the floor, taking advantage of her. Tyra is screaming and crying.

“Get off of her!” I scream at Austin.

He balls up his fist and strikes Tyra in the face. I grab Austin and pull him off of her. My guards go after him and begin beating him as I pick Tyra up off of the floor. I cradle her in my arms and carry her out of the house. My guards follow me out of the house. Her eyes open and shut, but she is out of it. I hope she is okay.

I get into the truck with her. I remove the collar and throw it on the ground. We don’t need this bullshit.

“Let’s go,” I tell my guards. I hold Tyra as we drive away from Austin’s house.

“What about Austin?” Trey, one of the guards, asks me.

“I want him picked up and brought in tomorrow. No, tonight, call Bo and tell him to get down here now and get him. I will deal with him tomorrow,” I say.

“Yes, Alpha,” Trey says.

My guard, Alex, picks up his phone and dials Bo. He gives him instructions and how to deal with Austin. Trey and Alex look back at Tyra, and both of them shake their head.

“Why would a pretty girl like her get involved with Austin?” Trey asks.

“We do not know her story. So let’s keep our opinions to ourselves,” I say.

“Yes, Alpha,” they both say.

We drive the two hours back to the pack. Tyra is in and out as we make the drive. She is so cold. I wrap her in a blanket from the truck. It is not the warmest blanket, but it will do until we get to the house. He hit her hard in the face.

“Call one of the pack doctors’ have one of them come to my house,” I instruct Trey.

Trey picks up his phone and makes the call as the four of us pull into my house. Trey comes around and opens my door. “Do you want me to carry her into the house?” Trey asks.

“I have held her this long; I believe I can manage a few more minutes,” I say.

“Yes, Alpha,” Trey says.

I get out of the truck with Tyra in my arms. I carry her small limp body into my house. I walk her into my bedroom and lay her on my bed. Tyra is wrapped in a blanket from the truck, but she is shivering. I get a heavy blanket out of the closet and lay it over her. I sit on the side of the bed and wait with her for the pack doctor.

One of our older doctors comes into the bedroom. Jeb has been a pack doctor for as long as I can remember. He needs to retire but not until we have a replacement for him. I had hoped that could be Tyra. Jeb examines Tyra and then smiles.

“Is she okay?” I ask Jeb.

“He did a number on her, Alpha, but she will be fine. She needs someone to watch her all night, and I would suggest waking her every few hours. How long has she been out?” Jeb says.

“She opened her eyes a few times on the ride here,” I say.

“Then we need to wake her,” Jeb says.

“I will take care of her,” I say.

“I can send a nurse over. I am sure you have more important things to do,” Jeb says.

“No, she is my priority right now,” I say.

“Yes, sir, if you need me, just call. I can be right over,” Jeb says.

“Thanks, Jeb. I know it is late,” I say.

“No problem, I am here to help, Alpha,” Jeb says.

I pat Jeb on the back as he exits my room. I sit down on the side of the bed. I gently touch Tyra. “Tyra, can you open your eyes and let me know you are okay?” I ask her.

Tyra tries to open her eyes, but she closes them back again. “How do you feel?” I ask her.

“I have a headache,” Tyra says meekly.

“You are safe here. I will be right here with you all night, making sure you are okay. I will have to wake you every few hours, okay,” I say to her.

“Okay, am I in trouble?” Tyra asks.

“No, you are not in any kind of trouble,” I answer her.

Trey comes into my bedroom and motions for me to come out. Alex is with him. “What is it?” I ask them.

“Bo picked up Austin. What do you want him to do with him?” Trey asks.

“That was fast,” I say.

“Bo was at his girlfriends' house not far from Austin’s house, so it worked out,” Trey says.

“Tell him to lock him up. I will deal with him later. I cannot leave Tyra tonight,” I say.

“We can sit with her, Alpha. If you need us to,” Trey says.

“She is terrified. She does not know either of you. She knows me. I am not leaving her,” I say.

“Yes, Alpha,” Trey says.

I grab a blanket out of the closet. I sit down in the chair next to the bed. I set my alarm for one hour to wake her in an hour and make sure she is okay. I pull the blanket over me and try to catch a short nap. Rest Tyra, and I will make sure no one harms you ever again.
