SAVE ME, SIREN!

"Who are you?" Caroline felt her heart break. She felt hurt, betrayed, pain, and anger towards the man in front of her. "Who...are you?" Her voice started to break. The man sighed deeply. He stared into the eyes of the person he loved the most in his life and whispered. "I am your Harvey-" Caroline pushed him but failed to make him budge. "Harvey would not lie to me this much." every word was filled with hurt. The man held her in a tight hug that prevented her to escape from his arms. "I have relied on you for so long. I followed what you said and learned everything that I know." She sobbed. "You know me...but I do not know you." The man held her even tighter. "I am still the one who loves you with all my life. Please, don't leave me." She felt helpless. "Was I just a doll that you carry around? Was I a toy that you groomed and played with?" She gritted her teeth. "Was I just your little doll?" She whispered in disbelief to her own realization. "A little doll that you toyed with." The man shook his head as he hugged her even tighter. Part 50: Point

The last person the bottle pointed at was me. "Truth or dare."

"Truth" I said with a little confidence. I wasn't hiding anything.

Tiffany looked at me and sighed. "You're leaving the country, right? Kindly explain"

I looked around and everyone was looking at me seriously. Briana was shocked to hear this and looked at me with sadness. I quickly looked away to avoid her gaze. It was making me feel guilty and like I'm leaving all of them because I just wanted to, which was not the case.

I sighed and pressed my lips before explaining to them that I was leaving for reasons that I'm not ready to share right now. I confirmed them on the rumours that were spreading through the town and I was indeed getting married. Thinking about it, it's like I'm under Harvey's spell and I can't resist him. Maybe I'm just that deeply in love with him.

"So...you couldn't see me after the operation?" Briana asked me. Her eyes were starting to look glossy and I sighed. "I promise to hold on." She said.

I could only promise her that I will see her but at only a time when she will be unconscious. Recovery won't be easy for her but I know that she'll make it.

I paused as I look carefully at Briana. On second thought, I have doubts. When I look at her, it's like I need to hold a longer gaze like every one glance was gonna be the last.

I don't want to be pessimistic but I should also prepare myself for whatever is to come. I would never know the outcome of her operation. I will have to accept whatever happens like Briana is. I want to be strong for her whatever happens.

As the night went on, we started to talk more about private matters. Sometimes, Jeremiah would crack some jokes and Francois would change the topic when the conversations become dark but it only lasted for a short amount of time.

After all the serious topics were said, we started to talk about new plans and new adventures, visiting after Briana's operation, and going to new places as a group. Maybe another bonfire, camping, and swimming. There was so much that we planned to do and I wish that it would come true.

A lot of promises were made and a lot of joyful messages were said. Time started to slow down as I look at the faces of my friends. They were laughing, eating happily, chatting like there's no tomorrow and smiling at each other. I could only engrave this sight into my memory, hoping that it would last for a long time.

Sleepiness consumed all of us. U girls were sleeping in Briana's room while the guys slept in Briana's brother's unused room. Everyone was asleep except for me. I couldn't stop thinking that I'll leave in a few days. It took me so much time to process what was happening.

"Why aren't you sleeping?"
