-Transfiguration Classroom-
"Hi Ethan" Harry greeted me as he entered the classroom, and I turned to him.
"Hey," I said, looking at him lightly, paying attention to his emotions and any gestures that showed how he was feeling.
After a quick analysis I could see why the Headmaster was so worried, as Harry looked tired, crestfallen, and showed clear signs of insomnia.
Also his emotions were a mess, but even with him impressively controlling them, the anguish was still noticeable.
Putting that aside, I looked at Ron and Hermione who were behind him and waved at them, only to notice that Ron was staring at me frozen in fear.
"What is it?" he squeaked, and I looked at him strangely before noticing that he wasn't actually looking at me, but at my desk, or more accurately, at Nyx who was lying on top of my desk.
"It... is a cat," I said slowly, looking back at Nyx to see if there was something wrong with her.
"I know it's a cat" Ron said, walking over to Harry who was already at a double desk, taking care to keep his distance from Nyx, "What I want to know is what this creature is doing here in this room, and on top of your desk?"
"Hmm... Sleeping I guess," I said, nudging Nyx with a finger, not noticing Ron's panicked look, earning a low meow from her.
"Careful! You don't want to wake it up!" Ron exclaimed in a low voice, and now even Harry and Hermione were looking at him strangely.
"Why are you so scared of Ethan's cat?" Hermione asked, and Ron turned to her in surprise.
"Ethan's cat?!" he asked, and then turned to me, "Is it your cat?!"
"Yes" I said slowly, "Her name is Nyx"
Ron then looked between me and Nyx with a wary, surprised look, but then he seemed to notice something and looked at me again, frowning before nodding to himself.
"Actually that explains a lot," he commented, leaving me confused.
"Huh?" eu ecoei.
"Only one scary monster to have another scary monster," he said, probably thinking aloud.
And ignoring the part of me that was torn between being offended and proud of being called a scary monster, I turned to Nyx, who was still sleeping peacefully.
'First Michael says you attacked a student for waking you up, and now Ron called you a scary monster... What the hell have you been doing when I'm not around?' I wondered, realizing that I might have to start taking Nyx on my adventures to keep her from ending up killing someone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After convincing Ron that Nyx wasn't going to attack him, we all sat in our seats while we talked, waiting for Professor McGonagall to arrive.
In between our conversations Harry commented that the Gryffindor Quidditch team would be doing extensive practice this afternoon after morning classes, where we would all have the remaining time free.
And Ron also told me that in order to show support for Gryffindor, mainly because of what happened in the last match, all the students were going to watch practice.
Normally I wouldn't care about this information, but when he told me this I realized that an opportunity had just presented itself, an opportunity I couldn't pass up.
As all the Gryffindors would be watching their house Quidditch team practice, that would mean that the Gryffindor common room and its dorms would be empty, and this was an unmissable opportunity for me to silently capture Pettigrew.
As I started to formulate a plan to catch the damn rat, Professor McGonagall arrived, walking into the classroom with her usual stern look, which earned a small smile as soon as she saw me.
She also saw Nyx sleeping on top of my desk, but other than a slight lift of her eyebrows she didn't say anything else.
Realizing that Professor McGonagall was going to start the class, I focused on her, deciding to come up with a plan to capture Pettigrew at another time.

-Room of Requirement-
"You really intend to catch the bastard rat today, right?" Sirius asked me for the seventh time in the last 20 minutes, with anticipation and madness in his eyes.
"Yes…" I said wearily, looking at him irritably.
"Perfect," he said with a creepy yellow smile, and my tired look changed to one of fear.
"Please stop smiling like that… It's creepy," I said, and Sirius' smile fell as he turned to me.
"That hurt," he said with a false look of hurt, but I just rolled my eyes.
After the Transfiguration class was over, I separated from my friends and immediately came to the Room of Requirement, and as soon as Sirius saw me walking through the door hastily he came to me worried, thinking that something had happened to Harry.
As I didn't want a worried adult male breathing down my neck I told him that Harry was okay, and I also told him about my plan to capture Pettigrew today.
And now here we were, standing around a circular table that had a map drawn on it, showing everyone in the castle.
We were waiting for all the Gryffindors to leave the castle, so I could enter their common room, where I would enter the third year boys' dormitory, approach Ron's bed and stun the rat, and after that I would put him in a cage, finalizing the plan with me bringing him to the Room of Requirement.
We already had everything ready, even the cage which was enchanted with many spells by Sirius, who used my wand for it.
I didn't know most of the spells he used, but I knew they were dark spells and probably illegal, and when I asked him about it the only answer he gave me was that he is still a Black.
"Look! The last Gryffindor is leaving!" Sirius said, pointing to the Fat Lady's passage.
And just like he said, as soon as this Gryffindor left the Gryffindor Common Room was empty. Obviously the map still showed some names and footprints inside the common room and dormitories, but other than Pettigrew the other names and footprints were from the students' pets.
"Okay, so let's get started," I said, summoning the cage for me.
"Yes! Starting the Tom and Jerry plan!" Sirius exclaimed excitedly, and I turned to him.
"First, how do you, a pureblood, know what Tom and Jerry is?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Just because I'm a pureblood doesn't mean I don't know about the muggle world," he replied, offended, but I kept staring at him.
Realizing I didn't believe him, he pouted, "Alright... When I was hiding from the Ministry, I hid in my dog form in a muggle neighborhood, and when I got tired of running I stopped in a family's backyard, and there I saw one of the children of that family watching this show.," he said.
"Oh cool..." I nodded, "Well, and second, we're not going to call my plan by that name" I said with a straight face.
"Damn!"

-Gryffindor Tower corridor-
The Fat Lady was fixing her hair while looking at herself in her ornate hand mirror when a student who appeared to be a third year wearing Gryffindor robes approached her.
The student in question had gray eyes, messy brown hair, a thin cheekbone, and a charming, elegant smile. All this along with his calm and confident walk made him even more handsome.
"Brave Griffin" the boy said to the portrait.
The Fat Lady then looked at him for a moment before opening the passage for the boy to pass.
As soon as the passage was opened the boy wasted no time and entered the common room.
When he entered the common room the passage behind him closed, and the boy relaxed.
"Next time I'll go through the window using a broom" the boy complained, "And I'll never let Sirius do human transfiguration on me again"
The boy then shook his head, and focusing again his eyes glowed a familiar blue, and turning his head he looked up the stairs of the boys' dormitories, seeing a single magical signature of a human in one of the rooms.
"Fine, he's still in the dorms,"
I said, already taking the shrunken cage out of my pocket.
I then went to the stairs of the boys' dormitories, and when I reached them I started up, heading to one of the rooms where I felt Pettigrew's magical signature.
Arriving in front of the door to this room, I turned the knob, and with a click I heard the door open.
Opening the door and entering, my attention was immediately directed to a volume under the blankets of one of the beds.
Walking over to this bed, I set the shrunken cage on the floor, took my wand out of its holster, and with my other free hand I gripped the edge of the blanket.
'Gotcha' I thought, and immediately pulled back the blanket.
Pettigrew who was sleeping under the blankets jumped up scared, but he didn't have time to react since as soon as he woke up I stunned him.
And now I was looking at an ugly, sickly paralyzed rat who was missing one of the fingers on his front paw.
"Finally" I whispered with a wide smile on my face.
Still smiling, I increased the size of the cage and threw Pettigrew into it, locking the cage.
And with the cage in one hand under a Disillusionment Charm, I left the room and went downstairs to the common room.
I then went towards the passage and pushed it open. I was about to start to leave, but then I stopped and looked at the common room again.
"Well, I wouldn't be one of the Three Musketeers if I didn't pull a prank, right?" I asked myself, and with a shrug I waved my wand, casting a spell on every couch in the common room.
Satisfied with my work, I turned and walked out, with the passage closing behind me.
I then started to walk down the corridor, but the Fat Lady's voice made me stop in my tracks.
"Are you really a student of Godric? I don't remember seeing your face among the Gryffindors who've already passed through me" she said, causing me to freeze.
Seeing that I had stopped with my back to her, the Fat Lady continued with her questioning.
"I may not have the best memory in the world, but I'm pretty sure I remember every student who's ever gone through this passage," she said with narrowed eyes.
Noticing that I was still quiet, the Fat Lady's suspicions continued to grow, and just as she was about to open her mouth to say something else, I turned around.
"Oh, how can such a beautiful lady forget about me?" I asked with a hurt face, "I had hoped my face would have been etched in your memory as your beautiful and charming appearance was etched in mine" I said, with a charming smile.
"W—What?" the Fat Lady said confused, caught off guard by my compliments, a blush starting to appear on her face.
"I know I may not be the prettiest, or the coolest, but I feel sad knowing that I, Edgar Bullfric, have not been remembered by you, such an amazing woman that I look up to" I continued with a sad look, not giving her a chance to speak.
"N—No! Wait!" the Fat Lady said shaking her hand in panic at my sadness, "I remember you Edgar, how could you think I would forget you?" she said, with a tight smile.
"Serious?!" I asked, hope in my eyes.
"Of course!" she said firmly, and I smiled at her, causing another blush to appear on her face.
"That's a relief" I said with a hand on my chest.
I then pretended to have remembered something, tapping my forehead lightly.
"Oh, I almost forgot, Professor Snape had told me to get an ingredient for him from the potions storeroom, and now I have to get this ingredient to him," I said, and then looked at the Fat Lady with an apologetic and sad look, "Sorry, but I don't think I'll be able to stay to talk to you."
"Don't worry," she said hastily, "I'm sure it's an important matter, and I don't want Professor Snape to be upset with you," she continued, and I chuckled lightly.
"Perhaps some other time, when I'm not busy, I'll stop by to talk to you more, my beautiful and kind lady," I said smiling charmingly, and the Fat Lady nodded.
"That would be great," she said smiling.
"Well...so until another time my fair lady" I said, bowing slightly to her.
"Until another time Edgar," she said with a smile.
I then turned and started to leave, walking with calm steps until I rounded a corner at the end of the corridor, out of sight of the Fat Lady.
"Hmm, what a polite and charming young man," she muttered to herself, and then began to let out some girlish giggles with a slight blush on her face, completely forgetting why she had stopped me.
End.
