Heal Up Boy

As Shu opened his eyes he saw nothing but weirdly shaped books floating around, his eyes rolled from left to right as he attempted to understand the current situation, and instinctively he tried getting up from the surface he was currently laying on but stopped, as soon as he felt his muscles and gut flex in agony

"Don't stand up, you'll just worsen your condition, lay down while I think of a way to heal your wounds"

Was what Ezra's voice said while Shu turned to it, seeing Ezra sitting down with his legs crossed as he looked into a book with the title 'Herbs and medicines for muscle pain' in an attempt to find a way to heal the boy

"It's fine, I adapt quickly, grandpa also told me I have a fast healing factor, so I'll be—"

The boy could not finish his sentence as the simple act of talking made his gut twist in pain

"As I said, stay down and be quiet, you aren't in your Spiritual Awakening anymore so every injury you got while the sparring is doubled, If it wasn't for the fact that you were transformed, you'd be on the floor from my first combo"

Ezra whispered, pointing out the fact that the kid had now black hair and well-colored skin, before placing his finger on top of the boy's head, lowering the kid's head down to the ground as he sighed,

"On the other hand, it was somewhat of my fault that you ended up like this, I got a little carried away and hit you a bit too hard, but if you rest you should be able to recover in two to three days"

The man admitted as he looked down at the annoyed-looking boy who tried his best to force his body to stand without the need of his legs and arms

"I don't care, it was a sparring match, I expected to get hurt, now let me stand so that I can train—"

Shu demanded before feeling that annoying and agonizing pain, pushing his head back down to the ground without Ezra having the need to do so himself

"Just heal kid, I have a week to train with you don't I? We've only wasted a day and a half, so calm yourself and heal"

Ezra explained, calming the boy down a bit before sighing while turning back to his book, switching the pages quickly to then roll his eyes to a green looking leaf, grabbing it carefully with his massive fingers, proceeding to shove it down Shu's mouth

"Here eat this, it'll help"

The man whispered without a care in the world as he continued to read from his book, as the boy seemed to be gaging from the sudden ingredient that was shoved into his unprepared mouth

"Oh and this"

The man added before grabbing yet another leaf, this time with a blue color proceeding to shove it down Shu's throat, causing the boy to gag once more as he grabbed the man by his arm, pulling the man's fingers out of his mouth, coughing the ingredients out

"This isn't healing!! You're just trying to kill me!!"

Shu yelled as he pointed at the man's face with an irritated look as a vein popped from his head

"What's with that look!? Say something!"

The boy yelled once again as the man simply stared at him with a calm expression, not at all faced or intimidated by the boy's screams, before smiling as he saw the kid roll around the ground holding onto his stomach in pain

"Ugh, it hurts!"

Shu yelled as he rolled up in a ball, hiding his face in his stomach and bringing his knees up to his face as he quietly whimpered in pain

"I'm telling you, don't move a lot, just lay back down while I try to figure out a way to help you heal quicker"

The man explained while placing his right hand on Shu's waist and his other on his chest, spreading his body open and placing him upside down on the ground as he would then continue with his reading

"You're not helping at all, you're just killing me!"

Shu yelled before getting comfortable as he stared up at the floating books, calming down and staying quiet as Ezra continued his research, later switching the book for another.

The atmosphere stayed like this for a few minutes before Shu got bored of it all and began to ask questions

"Hey, how did you meet my grandpa? I overheard you calling him master when you were arguing with Amada"

The boy asked as he turned his face and attention to the tall and imposing man

"He found me while I was at my lowest, and helped me stand tall by teaching me the way of the sword"

The man replied with honesty in his voice, while Shu stared at him for a few seconds, opening his mouth right afterward, not wasting any more time to ask his next question

"What was your relationship with my grandfather?"

Shu questioned as Ezra kept his eyes on his book, switching the pages calmly while thinking of a suitable answer for the boy's question

"He was a lot like a father to me, he was aggressive and demanding most of the time so he would yell at me and the others, but he was also kind-hearted when the time called for it and even protected us when we couldn't protect ourselves"

Ezra replied with a low tone as he closed the book, finishing it as he would then stand up, walking over to a small table close by which seemed to have herbs on top of it

"Us? We? Did grandpa have multiple disciples?"

The boy questioned while rolling his eyes, trying to follow Ezra's movements as the man simply stared at him, holding what seemed to be a cup filled with disgusting looking green goo

"Yes he did, and I was the weakest of the bunch, anyway, here drink this"

Ezra ordered while letting his body drop to the ground, causing a small burst of wind as he sat down on the ground, grabbing Shu by his head pulling him over, proceeding to move the cup close to his mouth

"H-hey Ezra what are you doing!? Hey stop it, that smells! Stop! Stop! Ugh, it smells so bad, please don't make me drink that! Nooooo!!!"

The boy screamed as the man just stared at him with a calm expression, forcing the boy to drink the goo looking tea
