Excitement

Ean would place his hands behind his head as he watched The Flying Serpents slide through the air, taking in a deep breath, he would move his hands away from his head, holding his sheathed sword with his left hand before proceeding to unsheathe it with his right.

The moment his sword was unsheathed, it began to release an intense blue aura. With a smile on his face, he would proceed to masterfully swing the sword around as if testing its weight.

"Hmm. My muscles are strong enough for me to be able to pick up things as heavy as my sword. But.."

His eyes would move from his sword to the sky once more, watching The Flying Serpents move around

"I'm not at full power right now so I can't jump high enough to reach The Flying Serpents"

Ean said to himself while scratching the back of his head with his left hand, tilting his head a bit confused as to what to do

"What can I do?.."

He asked himself before lowering his head, turning his attention to the things around him, trying to find something that could help him kill the Serpents, staring at the trees, the ground, everything that could help him, but nothing here could lead him to accomplishing his current goal, so he sighed in defeat.

"Wait"

He whispered as he looked back at the serpents then down at his sword which continued to glow, spewing that intensive yet warm aura

"I don't have to reach it, I can just.."

Ean said to himself as he grabbed the sword with both his hands, raising it above his head as his eyes would once more turn their attention to the serpents.

"Midnight Dark, Blue King of Death; Burning Moon"

And just as those words were uttered, Ean would clench his teeth, and bring down his eyebrows, which made his face take a frowning looking expression, as if he was struggling with his sword, and right after he would squeeze the handle of the sword with both of his hands, while the Aura around the tool intensified, as he would then proceed to swing the sword down.

And with a speed equal to that of lighting, the sword would slash down as the aura that covered it was hurled toward the Serpents in the form of a crescent moon, and the moment that it reached the height in which the serpents where flying in, it sliced eight of them in half.

The sliced bodies would fall onto the ground as Ean stood in between trees with no leaves, the simple pressure of his swing caused the leaves to be sent flying

"Man...these skills are insane, I'm glad I didn't use them on Louis, I would have been dead.."

Ean said to himself before proceeding to move his sword aside. Taking in a deep breath he would begin to walk, but the moment he took a step a blue screen appeared in front of him saying '320 Points have been awarded'

"Oh, I guess this is how the points are shown, I thought we'd have to carry the monsters to some sort of place as proof that we hunted them but this is much better"

He said as he walked past the screen which caused it to disperse into nothingness.

"I'm not sure what I should do now, I mean, I don't want to use the same method to hunt those serpents down, it consumes a lot of energy, not to mention my body isn't at one hundred percent right now, so I'd rather hunt monsters here on the ground...but then again, the other monsters are way stronger than those Serpents up there"

Ean whispered as he would then turn his attention back to the sky, but he saw nothing which startled him, the fact that the sky was clear wasn't the problem, the problem was that the serpents were nowhere to be found, which caused him to panic a bit as his mind drifted to a lesson he learned in the Academy

'If you were to hunt Flying Serpents please keep in mind that they are creatures who work together, very much like wolves, they roam around in packs, sleep in packs, hunt in packs, die in packs and most importantly they become very violent when one of their own is killed, so if you aren't sure that you can take an entire pack of Flying Serpents on, then please try to avoid attacking them, it won't work on your favor, I repeat, it won't work on your favor'

And just like that, his thoughts would end as was tackled from the back by a Flying Serpent, being pushed into the air by its force, and just when he was about to regain his composure and prepare a counter-attack, he was tackled against the ground by another Flying Serpent.

The Flying Serpent would then fly back, separating its head from Ean's now hurting body

"Fuck.."

Ean whispered as he grunted while coughing out blood, tightening the grip on his sword

"The more I participate in this tournament the more annoyed I get"

Ean said as he looked up at the Serpent that pinned him on the ground. And the moment he did, the other Flying Serpents would gather around that one, staring down at Ean

"Man...if only Shu was here, he'd probably enjoy this situation. I bet he would say something along the lines of 'Altogether, come at me!' Or something like that. Well, I should stop thinking about that now"

He whispered as he slowly stood up, laying his sword over his right shoulder while looking up at one of the Serpents. He was surrounded, there were serpents above him, and to his right, as well as his left, his back and front. Each one of them was staring him down, like Lions hunting a rabbit.

"I don't get it"

Ean uttered while lowering his head as the Serpents stared at him confused

"I don't understand why I'm feeling like this"

"Why am I feeling.."

Said Ean, Slowly increasing the tone of his voice the more he continued he talked

"So god damm excited!!"

He yelled, finishing his sentence before swinging his sword horizontally, cutting down one of the serpents, as a smile grew on his face
