A Frustrating Investigation and a Fight

Soren's P.O.V

"What do you want?" I am irritated and my ego is badly bruised. I do not have the patience to deal with this pervy alpha. "Seth did not complete the interrogation and I want to know what happened with the rouge in explicit detail."

Seriously? Sakura gets to run off with her man candy and I get stuck with a moody alpha and interrogations. "Make it quick. I have not had any coffee, no fruit, or even a simple bowl of cereal. All I got were those rotten eggs and they have soured my mood so if we could make this snappy that would be lovely." I say with no patience in my tone and a bored expression.

He growled at being commanded. "Who were you talking to when we were walking over here?"

"Who else? Sakura. If you are going to continue to ask me stupid questions, I will make my way out." I start to turn and leave when I hear a loud and powerful growl. It sounded like a challenge to my wolf, so I had to hold down her temper.

"Do. Not. Walk. Away. From. Me" his tone would be frightening if I were not above him in every way imaginable. I cleared my throat and proceeded to talk.

"Do. Not. Walk. Away. From. Me!" I mock him. I started to giggle. This was one of the biggest signs of disrespect. Especially for an alpha, but I could care less. I am here against my will and will make it everyone's problem.

He threateningly growls at me. His eyes start shifting to a dark shade of gold.

"What? Is the big bad wolf going to blow me down?" I turn to leave again, but I am suddenly pinned to a wall.

"Kinky" I lift one of my eyebrows and grin. "Enough of your games! Who were you talking to? Sakura was too busy with Seth for you to have been talking to her." I roll my eyes.

"Calm down. It is so boring around here I ought to have some fun. Messing with you seems to be a source. And have you not ever heard of being in deep thought? If I am not mind-linking Sakura I am looking out in space. Do not take it so seriously."

I can tell by the look in his eyes that he does not believe me. He should not. I am, of course, lying. I was talking to Shiro and Shiraga. I was giving them an update on our situation. But since we told them that we have no friends or family I cannot tell him that.

Despite his suspicion, he seems to relax. He releases his grip on my neck. I land on my feet with a thump. "Sheesh, you do not have to be rude about it. Are all alphas this grouchy?" I dust myself off.

"Yes. That is common knowledge." He looks down on me like I am below him. That thought brings a grin to my face. "Anything else, alpha?" he sighs. "Are you going to be this difficult throughout the entire interrogation?"

My grin spread even wider on my face. "Yes sir." He rolls his eyes and groans while my grin stays plastered on my face. He very well knew that this was going to be a long and difficult interrogation.

Sakura's P.O.V

I wondered where Seth was taking me as he continued to walk me somewhere. "Seth where are we going?"

"That's for me to know and for you to find out." This makes me frown. "No, it's for me to know or for you to get your ass beat." I stop walking and I pull my arm out from his. I cross my arms and stare at him with a questioning glare.

He looks stunned for a moment then he laughs. My mate is crazy. Great. I turn and start to walk away. Seth has not noticed since he finds this so hilarious. He is laughing so much that he was about to cry. I did not understand what was so funny about this situation.

I hope he was not laughing at the fact that I said that I had beat his ass because I will make well on that promise.

I started walking around to find out where Soren went. I headed towards Ranor's office since Soren was with him.

I was halfway there before Seth appeared in front of me with a panicked look.

"Are you okay?!" I ask with worry. "That's what I was going to ask you. I open my eyes and suddenly you're gone!"

Oh, that is what this is about.

"Since you found me so amusing, I decided to leave. I am not here to be a comedian." I roll my eyes and continue my way.

He quickly blocks my way again. "Wait wait wait. I am sorry I will not do it again. Just come with me please?" he begs. How could I say no to those adorable eyes? But I also will not say yes. "Only if you tell me where we are going." I cross my arms.

"We are going to the pack house. I want you to meet my friends." are you serious? It is too early for that. "So, you thought ambushing me would work? One thing you should know about me, is I do not do surprises." I frown. I never would have been prepared to meet his friends. How could he spring that upon me so suddenly?

"I am sorry. Now that you know, can we go now?" I scoff. I walk past him and walk away from him. He seriously thought I would simply agree. Did he have no regard for how I felt? He did not even ask despite me saying it was too early. "Where are you going?!" He yells from behind. "Anywhere away from you," I yell back.

"I cannot let you wander off by yourself." his voice sounded close. He was probably walking right behind me. "You did not seem to have a problem with me walking around when you were trying to introduce me to your friends without warning. Now that I am not doing what you want, am I not allowed to walk around?"

I hear him groan from behind me. Is he seriously getting frustrated with me? Unbelievable. "You have your sister's stubbornness. You are going to get me in trouble." why is he suddenly being an asshole? Speaking of my sister, I spot her in the distance with Ranor, so I run up to them.

"Hey, girly girl. You look pissed," she says as soon as she sees me. "And you look smug. What did you do?" I ask. Her expressions burst into a big grin. "I was just having a little fun with your alpha here." she pats his back. He gives an annoyed expression. "What you were doing was being difficult. Sakura, now that you are here, I need you to come with me."

As soon as he says that one of the pack members goes up to him. He whispers something in his ear. "We will save that for another time. I have some pack business to deal with. Seth, make sure to take them back to their cell." he turns around and leaves. The pack member goes back with him.

"So, who pissed you off?" she lifts her eyebrow. She looks behind me at Seth and gives an 'oh' face. "Let me guess, you tried to tell her what to do? Oh, or you tried to surprise her, and it was not a sweet surprise."

"Ding ding ding we have a winner," I say sarcastically. I hear Seth exhale a deep breath. "I just wanted to introduce her to my friends, but she is being so stubborn." excuse me? I give out a breath of disbelief. "I am being stubborn? What about you, huh? You are being so inconsiderate! I barely even know you and you already want to introduce me to your friends! Ever thought 'oh maybe she would be uncomfortable with meeting so many people who are strangers after being alone for so long?' Of course, you did not!"

I could feel my face heat up from anger. "If she does not want to go then do not make her. But if it helps, Sakura I could come with you when you meet them. This place is boring anyways." It would be far more comforting if I had someone I knew there.

"You will?" she nods her head. "Sakura can take care of herself. If anything, she will be fine with me." Seth says. He seems to be annoyed. Well, I am too. "Soren will come, but I am not meeting your friends until we have at least one date. If I even want to go on one with you anymore."

His face went pale. You could have sworn he was a vampire. He looked extremely hurt and horrified. Was I too harsh?

"Okay. Follow me to the dungeons." He looks down at the ground, eyes filled with sorrow. Now I feel bad. "Maybe that was a bit too harsh? He is your mate and is sensitive." Soren says. Was I really in the wrong?
