Kami's Plan

pov Kami

From the serene heights of my Lookout, I gazed down at the Earth below, my mind heavy with the events that had transpired. Raditz's arrival had set off a chain reaction, and now the Earth braced for more powerful Saiyans' arrival. My duty was clear to prepare the warriors of this planet for the imminent threat.

Mr. Popo stood beside me, his expression as calm and stoic as ever. "Kami," he said, his voice a gentle reminder of the task at hand. "They are coming."

I nodded, sensing the approach of the group. Piccolo's familiar energy signature stood out among them one I had never expected to see come here willingly, but there were two others I had yet to meet. I could feel the darkness within the two of them, starkly contrasting the purity of the other soul that was with them earlier.

As they landed on the platform, I stepped forward to greet them my staff clacking the ground as I moved. Piccolo was the first to approach, his demeanor as stern and annoyed as always. Krillin followed closely behind, his expression a mix of worry and nervousness. The new arrivals, Celera and Fasha, caught my attention immediately. Their energy was powerful far past anything I would ever be able to fight, but there was a darkness that clung to them one that worried me.

"Welcome," I greeted, my voice carrying a calm authority. "I am Kami. I have been expecting you."

Piccolo nodded in acknowledgment. "Kami," he said, his tone annoyed.

As I shifted my attention to Celera and Fasha, I couldn't help but notice a subtle narrowing of my eyes as I gauged their energy. "I can sense a significant amount of darkness within you," I remarked, my voice maintaining a neutral yet inquisitive tone. "Despite that, it's intriguing that you have chosen to step forward in defense of this world."

Celera met my gaze with a steady. "We are here to help," she said firmly.

Fasha nodded confidently, her expression unwavering. "We've faced our fair share of battles. We know exactly what it takes to confront powerful enemies."

I turned to Krillin, who looked slightly uncomfortable in the presence of the newcomers. "Where is Goku?" I asked, noticing his absence.

Krillin scratched the back of his head nervously. "He's taking his mom to meet his wife, Chi-Chi," he explained. "He'll join us later."

My lips curved upwards into a gentle smile. "Gine," I reflected quietly. "Her soul emanates a purity that is incredibly rare, especially among Saiyans."

Piccolo's eyes widened slightly at this revelation, but he said nothing. Instead, he looked around, taking in the serene surroundings of the Lookout. "We need to train," he stated bluntly. "Since we only have a year."

I nodded in agreement. "Indeed. There is much to do. Mr. Popo and I will guide you in your training."

As the group began to settle in, I felt the arrival of more familiar energy signatures. Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha landed on the Lookout, this must have been Balma's handiwork.

"Welcome," I greeted them. "Follow me this way and I will take you to the others."

Tien stepped forward. "We're ready to train, Kami," he said.

I nodded, feeling a sense of hope from each of them. "Very well," As I brought them towards the others who were training, I noticed Yamcha eyeing Celera and Fasha for some reason, likely drawn by their powerful presence. They didn't Hide their strength at all. "We must make the most of our time."

As we began the training, I kept a close eye on Celera and Fasha. Despite their willingness to help, the darkness within them troubled me. I approached Piccolo, who was meditating nearby, his brow furrowed in concentration.

"Piccolo," I began, my voice low. "I am surprised you had even decided to come here."

He opened one eye, regarding me with a mix of curiosity and annoyance. "I'm not here for you, Kami. I'm here because I need to get stronger. These Saiyans are a threat, and I won't let them take my chance for revenge against Goku."

I could see Piccolo still clinging to the past, and it filled me with worry for him. 'Oh, Piccolo, why do you continue to hold on?' I asked softly. I understood that if he kept holding on so tightly, he might struggle to move forward. Despite my worry, he remained engrossed in his training, so I chose to give him some space. As I moved away, I couldn't help but pity him.

As I walked I noticed the other warriors training diligently, following Mr. Popo's training. Celera and Fasha's were off to the side. Any training Popo would offer wouldn't really be of much help to them. It had been a few hours already.

Suddenly, I felt Goku's ki approaching, accompanied by another familiar and another new energy. Goku, Gohan, and Gine would soon land on the platform, and I could see the joy in Goku's eyes as he introduced his mother to the others.

"Gine," I greeted warmly. "It is nice to meet you."

Gine smiled kindly. "Thank you, Kami. It is nice to meet you too, I am here to support my son, Grandson, and their friends in the only way I can."

Goku looked around, taking in the sight of his friends training. "Kami, I want to join the training as soon as possible."

I nodded in agreement. "Of course, Goku. though I fear there isn't much I can teach you anymore. For now help your mother settle in"

As Goku led Gine to a resting area, I turned my attention back to the training warriors. Mr. Popo and I guided them through various exercises, focusing on increasing their strength, speed, and ki control.

Yamcha, noticing Celera and Fasha's impressive strength, approached them with curiosity. "Hey, you two are incredible fighters. Are the Saiyans that are coming stronger than you two?"

Celera considered his question thoughtfully. "Vegeta is undoubtedly stronger," she replied. "When I was a kid, I remember him being at a power level close to what I have now. As for Nappa, his strength should have grown, but whether he's stronger than me or Fasha is up for debate. We won't know for sure until we face them."

Fasha nodded in agreement. "Vegeta has always been a prodigy, but we can't afford to underestimate Nappa. They are both dangerous."

I listened to their exchange, my mind racing with thoughts of how best to prepare them for the impending battle in a year. While training on Earth would help, I knew Goku needed something more, As I had already taught him everything I knew.

As the training continued, an idea began to form in my mind. I turned to Mr. Popo, who was overseeing the training with his usual calm demeanor. "Mr. Popo, I believe it's time we consider sending Goku to King Kai for further training," I said thoughtfully.

Mr. Popo nodded in agreement. "Yes, Kami. King Kai's training would significantly enhance Goku's abilities. However, we will need to speak with King Yama first to arrange it."

I turned his gaze towards Goku, who was currently helping Gine settle in and set up what seemed to be a kitchen. "I will speak with King Yama," I decided. "In the meantime, continue guiding the others in their training."

With that, I closed my eyes, focusing my energy as I reached out to communicate with King Yama. The towering figure of the afterlife's ruler appeared in my mind, his imposing presence filling the mental space.

"King Yama," I began respectfully. "I request your assistance. We need to send Goku to King Kai for training. The Earth faces an imminent threat from powerful Saiyans, and we require his guidance to prepare adequately."

King Yama regarded me with a stern expression, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. "Kami, I understand the urgency of your request," he rumbled. "However, sending Goku to King Kai is no small matter. Are you certain this is the best course of action? As he is a living being and not dead"

I nodded firmly. "Yes, King Yama. Goku has immense potential, and under King Kai's guidance, he will become strong enough to protect the Earth. We have no other option if we are to stand a chance against these Saiyans."

After a moment of contemplation, King Yama nodded in agreement. "Very well, Kami. I will make the necessary arrangements. Goku will be sent to King Kai for training. Ensure he is ready for the journey across Snake Way."

I bowed my head in gratitude. "Thank you, King Yama. We will prepare Goku immediately."

As I opened his eyes, he saw Goku approaching with Gohan, one of them looked curious and the other was eager to join the training. I motioned for Goku to come closer. "Goku, I have made arrangements for you to train with King Kai," I explained. "As I have already taught you everything, I know it is time for you to get taught by a new teacher. You must be ready to leave soon."

Goku's eyes lit up with excitement. "King Kai? That's amazing! I'll be ready, Kami."

Gine who had walked over bowed to me and then looked at her son with pride and concern as it seemed she had heard everything. "Be safe, Kakarot," she said softly. "We will be here, preparing and supporting you."

I approached Goku and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Goku, it is time," I said. "I will use Instantaneous Movement to take you to King Yama. From there, you must journey across Snake Way to reach King Kai."

Goku nodded, his face set with determination. "I'm ready, Kami. Let's go."

With a final nod to Gine and the others, I focused my energy, transporting Goku and myself to King Yama's office in an instant. The massive figure of King Yama looked up from his paperwork as we arrived, his stern expression softening slightly at the sight of us. "Kami, Goku," he greeted, his voice a deep rumble. "So, you are ready to begin your journey to King Kai?"

Goku nodded excitedly. "Yes, King Yama. I'm ready."

King Yama regarded Goku with a serious expression. "Before you go, you must understand the dangers of Snake Way. The path is long and treacherous, stretching over a million kilometers. Many have tried to traverse it and failed. You will encounter various obstacles and distractions along the way, and it will take all of your strength and focus to reach the end."

Goku's eyes widened slightly at the description, but his resolve remained unshaken. "I understand, King Yama. I'll make it to King Kai's planet, no matter what."

King Yama nodded a hint of approval in his gaze. "I believe you will, Goku, stay focused and you will succeed."

With those final words of advice, King Yama opened a portal to Snake Way. The long, winding path stretched out before us, disappearing into the distance.

"Follow this path, Goku," King Yama instructed. "It will lead you to King Kai's planet. Good luck."

Goku stepped through the portal, and he began sprinting down Snake Way, a small bag of Sensu beans at his side so he would starve along the way. As he set off on his journey across Snake Way, I watched him go with a sense of pride and hope. The training he would receive from King Kai, I could only hope it would make him stronger than those Saiyans.
