"I expect that you are all ready, Lucas," Xiulong said as soon as he arrived in Lucas's chambers.
Lucas, who was expecting Xiulong's arrival, sighed and replied. " Whatever you call it--training, preparation, or lack thereof--I'm not ready. I didn't have much time to train and even less time to read up on the things I needed to do."
Xiulong looked at Lucas in disbelief.
"What do you mean? Have I not already said that you need to kill the Pirate King while I am away? It should not take me long, so I was not able to give you much time, and it is not on our side. I hoped that you already knew that."
Lucas couldn't help but laugh at Xiulong's serious face. He then took out his sword from his dimensional storage.
"The sword is a weapon that doesn't know when to be used. As I am already a weapon myself, I should not expect how to be used when the time comes. It's like speaking on behalf of yourself even though I wasn't aware of what to say or do."
