first day in school

-Weiss POV-

When waking up, surprisingly an hour and a half before the classes, I was surprised to find a TV, a Gamebox, a new desk and cushion chairs on the floor wasn't something I expected.

Nevertheless, Roy gave us enough time to prepare ourselves for the classes and the uniform suited him, if I do say so myself...

But right now, I couldn't focus. The Grimm studies class, which was taught by professor peter port...

A portly man with greying hair and a moustache.

He kept rambling about his past while the rest of the class slept.

Even though it was unbecoming of a Schnee, I had the same urge as well... My partner, however.

"This man is a combat genius..."

Yes, I couldn't understand my partner, as powerful as he was, I just think that he is messing with me right now.

"To wrestle an Ursa may seem crazy but it gives you an advantage if you can keep a good grip and are strong enough, the Grimm is your puppet..."

I look at him, he was taking notes.

"My teammate at the time was a man built for speed, his main weapon was a rapier and I must say, he was well adept in using it!"

The man kept rambling and it seemed that Roy was leaning forward in anticipation.

"He was fast but very flexible, Graceful some may say! While I was busy defending the civilians, he was taking on the hordes, trying to trim them down to make our job at defending the innocent easier!"

Roy prepared his pen, hell, he was using his scroll to record it.

"He was slipping in and out of Grimm attacks, using their numbers against them by making an Ursa slash apart a few Beowolves.-"

Roy scribbled something down.

"-But all this negativity attracted a goliath to us, the civilians were scared, it was only natural that it was attracted-"

I give up.

I just watched with a blank face as the professor walked around the classroom. After a while, I snapped out of my daze, it looked like it was the end of the story.

"-Who believes that they embody the traits of a true Huntsman?"

I reflexively shot up my hand...

"I do, sir!"

Too late to back out now.

-After classes, Roy POV-

"Weiss, have you played video games before?"

The white-haired girl stopped and I followed her example. She stared at me for a bit, not blinking.

"What kind?"

...

"Why is she acting weird?"

Summer asked my question, even though it went unheard by the others.

"First person shooters..."

She grabbed my shoulders and looked straight into my eyes, freaking me out a little.

"Listen to me, my apprentice, ill show you how a master destroys some noobs."

...Ho-ho.

She dragged me off to the dorm room, leaving Yang and Blake behind, really confused.

She dragged me inside the room, Plopped me down on a chair where my laptop sat and she went to her luggage, grabbing her own.

She walked back to my bed and sat down, opening the contraption.

"What do you want to play."

Oh, This is going to be epic.

"What are you good at, oh great master?"

My tone was full of amusement and I smirked when she tilted her head up, a satisfied smile on her face.

"Well then, why don't we play the war front IV?"

War front? Does she mean the battlefield ripoff?

"That sounds grand."

When the game was downloaded, she "Showed" me how to create an account, log into it and walked me through the basics.

I held in my chuckles the whole time.

Halfway through Blake and Yang came into the room and watched us with interest, Blake sat next to me while Yang was with Weiss.

I had to play this right, Weiss was experienced, I could tell from her movements... and the time played that showed on her account. But it paled in comparison.

"Alright, not it's important to know that if you lose against me, you just have to keep going, you'll get better over time, can't be good at it unless you practice a lot."

Weiss was immersed in her role as a teacher while Yang was watching with a smirk, seemingly enjoying the scene.

"Yeah, little bro, don't be so down because you suck, you can't be good at everything."

Oh, really?

The game started and so did my strategy.

Remnant had game modes for this game, One versus one, till fifty kills, hundred kills and hundred and fifty kills.

We were on a hundred and fifty kills.

I was going to enjoy this, so much.

As soon as the game started, I was holding an Atlassian assault rifle, good thing that weapons couldn't transform here and were just basic types.

Weiss was apparently a "Pro" with a sniper.

I lost the first sixty-eight rounds, then Weiss "Took mercy" on me, and let me win twelve rounds.

Blake patted my back sympathetically every time I got killed and Yang was having a time of her life watching me "Fail"...

This whole time, I sat in my chair comfortably, leaning back and completely relaxed.

As soon as Weiss had a hundred and twenty-three rounds in her belt, Yang started trash-talking, even though she wasn't the one playing.

"Aw, little bro, You should try some other gun that you don't suck at, the right side of the mouse is to aim down the sights by the way."

She burst out laughing. Well didn't I have a supporting sister?

Summer floated next to me, staring at my face with a serious look.

"Your planning something..."

Dear mother, you know me so well.

"You know, maybe you should try an SMG, it has a faster fire rate."

Blake suggested, trying to actually help.

It was time.

ゴゴゴゴ

ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ

ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ

"What are you doing?"

Summer asked, voice slowly filling with dread.

Yang stopped laughing and looked over at me, blake rose an eyebrow and Weiss, feeling the aura of a true gamer, widened her eyes and snapped her head towards me.

I did the unthinkable, something I haven't done since I became one of the best in my previous world, something that I never thought I would do for fun on the remnant.

I leaned forward.

ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ

Weiss started sweating as I scrolled through the weapons menu and picked the starter sniper.

I chuckled. Summer visibility shivered, and I could hear the gulp of my team.

Weiss Schnee was an experienced gamer and she had a subtle way of making fun of her opponents.

Knife kills, grenade kills, trick shots, sneaking up on people. She passes it off as a lesson that needing to listen to the game is important but I also give her an excuse that I need to listen to her before actually getting to play.

Now that I have had my fun, it was time to play.

"Well, then. Let's get started, shall we?"

I put on the headphones.

The cool thing about gaming, you can get rusty, but your skills don't disappear and when you train your hand-eye coordination, you get better.

I'll spare you the details.

I Won.
