Chapter 52 : A New Horizion

"General Farron, come in please."

Somebody could recognize those heavy footprints from a mile away, as Ajel looked over to Vincent, who had his hands stretched.

"This will probably be the last time we will meet, for a very long time. Make sure you survive until then."

Ajel raised his hands, before meeting the young adult's hand.

"You too, stay safe until you achieve your plans."

General Farron came in, the heavily fortified armour that seemed to eternally stick to his flesh, but Ajel could still feel his gaze through the slits of his heavily fortified headpiece.

"It is nice to meet you. Dismissed." General Farron's voice showed an urge to hurry, as Ajel quickly got the three boxes and walked out with them, participating in the long walk back to his quarters.

-----------------------

Glass splattered across the room , as a expensive wine glass flew across the walls , before falling on a sword that immediately broke it.

"What...WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY." The previously unhinged Vincent was made into a angry husk of his previous self , as his hands grasped his messy midnight hair.

"It is true , my lord."

"I'm not a lord. This just confirms my beliefs , cements them deeper into my mind. Has he truly gone insane?"

"Even though your beliefs are clear, please refrain from speaking about your majesty like that."

"Utilizing chemical weapons to cause havoc and reek pestilence? is he truly insane!" Vincent's eyes glazed over the hundred's of weapons in the room , each observing their properties with burning eyes.

Coward.

That word reeked into the mind of Vincent , as he looked directly into the eyes of General Farron.

"In 20 years... no , 10. I will personally change the rootworks of Noxus into a place of a golden age ,a example of honours , where people do not need to partake in such.... petty fighting."

"I understand , m'lord. I have started to spread rumours in the Trifarian Legion based on your commands , if those who really see the flaws and realize that their honours are misled , they loyalty will decrease."

"Do not look down on them , Farron. They are not easily fooled , and their loyalty will be not be broken easily. We need to temper out the impurities , and recognize the copper from gold... we need to siphon them out , just like we did with Commander Lexus."

Commander Lexus was a commander , but someone who possessed the power of a general. He abandoned his men , but he was a favourite in the eyes of Darkwill and that why he was pardoned for execution and was instead gave a petty little demotion. That meant him dying meant one more tick off the checklist. Vincent's eyes shown in a bright red , as he sighed , before briefly walking to the door. "Come , walk with me Farron."

----------------------------

Ajel walked up to the deck of the ship, where the unstable waved crashed against the Noxian warship , but Ajel didn't even feel the most slightest vibration from it.

"Planning on jumping?" A voice came behind him , as Ajel scoffed.

"If i was going to kill myself , i would do it in a more spectacular manner , Roheen."

The merchant came behind him , as he looked down into the deep waves of the emotion.

"I fear the water." Roheen muttered, his eyes mesmerized with each strike of the wave on the hull of the ship.

"So you want to kill yourself every time you bathe?" Ajel raised his eyes in a jestful manner. "You don't seem the type of person to fear much , why do you fear the water."

"My waleda used to tell me stories of beasts the size of mountains , in her native land of Kathkan."

"Kathkan?" Ajel raised his eyebrow. "Where is this land?"

"Most Shurimans have migrated from there. She left to achieve her dreams of becoming a merchant , meeting my father in Shurima and opening a company."

"The size of mountains. Do you think someday i will be able to achieve that?"

"Perhaps , Ekwah." Roheen gave a reassuring laugh , before putting his hand on the shoulder of Ajel. "However , you still have a lot to do. You haven't even reached your prime yet." Roheen sighed , before shrugging. "Age is starting to catch up to me."

"Do you fear death?"

"Not that old , geez." Roheen gave a disdainful look , before laughing. "No. I do not fear death. I've scoured every corner of the mainland , just like my parents. Met amazing people , watched people grow as a uncle. Im content with my life , and that is all that matters. I just hope that my deeds will be accepted in the halls of the gods when the day i ascend will come."

"I truly believe in you , Roheen."

"We will be doing the Freljordian thing together! you know! uh... when someone dies they ascend and drink mead from a horn! ahahah!" Roheen gave a hearty laugh , before looking back to Ajel. "Care to join me for a drink at the bar?"

"Yeah. Coming." Ajel saw the turbulent waves slowly start to settle on the hull of the ship , before turning his head and slowly started to follow Roheen.
