Chapter 82: Concepts

Time is perhaps the most valuable for mortals; many are willing to trade all they have for the chance to live a bit longer.

Longevity is, of course, a matter solely dependent on a world.

One may modify the code of a world to make every mortal's lifespan limitless.

Still, it is not a recommended way of running a world because a lack of longevity will disrupt the balance.

The consumption for mortals below rank 0 is not significant. However, consumption for those of rank 0 and above, up to rank 9, is very severe, to the point that it can exhaust a world's resources in the long run.

Mortals are on one side, immortals on the other. Opposite to mortals, a rank 10 and 11 world's codes cannot in any way affect immortals' lifespan. Immortals are immortal, able to live for as long as the universe unless others kill them.

As for rank 12 worlds, they can affect even immortals' lifespans. Only those with universal law can resist the codes of rank 12 and rank 13 worlds.

However, almost nobody will try to restrict immortals.

Opposite to mortals, immortals are independent, not a burden on the world; their presence might instead strengthen the world.

Trying to limit immortals' lifespans would not only not save any resources, but it would also cost resources. For this reason, for anyone rank 10 and above, time is worthless, a currency without value.

...

5,000 years later.

Savior was immersed deeply in experiments.

When he had just arrived at the moon's core, he thought he had nothing useful to research.

But after a few years, he realized that the way of the undead is not necessarily evil. It's very mysterious and can have many uses.

At first glance, it looks unbelievable if one says that Negative life energy can possibly be used for good purposes.

But, Savior now believes it to be the case.

After experimenting for a long time, he discovered how to combine life energy with negative life energy and mix them in a stable form.

It requires the way of life, death, transformation, continuity, fragment laws of life and death, change, management, etc., all of which should be in an exact amount and a specific formation.

Fortunately, all these materials were in storage in the moon's core; even if they weren't, he traveled to his home world to get them.

Rachel didn't imprison him; occasionally, he was allowed to leave.

The results are excellent.

The resulting 'material' can heal the living, heal the undead, turn the undead into the living, and turn the living into the undead.

Still, some noteworthy problems needed to be sorted out.

For instance, when one turns the undead into the living, the soul won't return, resulting in a numb body with no soul.

In contrast, when a living person turns into the undead, the soul starts to dissipate.

Savior experimented on the undead but didn't experiment on turning the living into the undead.

That would be evil, far beyond his bottom line, not much better than his father.

Instead, he created clones of himself with artificial souls.

For this reason, he isn't 100% sure about humans turning undead.

As far as he experimented, one can conclude that the transition into undeath is a one-way street. Nobody in their right mind would want this.

If it could have been reversed, it would have been instrumental.

Undead have many weaknesses and many strengths.

They are resistant to poison, never die of old age, and are immune to negative energy, and it's much harder to detect undead with tracing spells.

In addition, some undead have special skills. Vampires can heal any wound with sufficient blood. Higher-level zombies never die, even if their brain is reduced to pieces. As long as a cell remains, they survive. If one could turn into those at will and turn back, it would be revolutionary, capable of saving many.

Savior was interested in these issues; he continued his intense research without caring about other affairs.

He had long left a clone in his home world, and once in a while, he would go and charge it so he wasn't worried about his home.

He would not abandon people who relied on him.

With his research here, it might not take long before he can truly discover the formula for a complete law.

He still has not chosen any name for it.

Still, he is rank 8, so even if he learns the complete law's formula, it's estimated that he can only actually create it after at least one hundred thousand years.

He needs to first reach the peak of rank 9, with no way around it.

...

Zagronan finally finished the blue dragon scene!

"Finally, after 5,000 years, you succeeded," Rachel smiled.

He looked very irritated when he heard '5,000.'

"What do you mean 5,000? I've been here for at least a billion years! I counted it, and with my memory, it's definitely true!" he said.

He was proud of his memory.

"Remember? Time is an illusion here!" she said.

"Then, why have 5,000 years passed? It's not an illusion if it really passes!" he said.

"Every time you die, you technically get out of the illusion world for just a bit, so time passes a little," she explained.

"If I get out, why am I still here?" Zagronan was not happy.

Even after so long that one's mind can go wild, he still felt he had no talent in illusions.

"Zag, don't worry so much! I'm careful about your mental state. Why do you think you still act normal after a billion years? I saved and locked your brain in its state when we just entered. Long stays here are not going to make you suicidal or leave mental scars. It's a pure benefit of learning the concept of illusions. It's very beneficial," she said.

"What is my level of mastery now?" he asked.

"There are many ways to calculate it. I'm just going to describe how I, Rachel, classify it," she said and took a deep breath.

"First, it's 'Master.' 'Master' is what one can understand before having contact with the supernatural."

"Masters only have ordinary understanding. For example, a master's understanding of Formations may help them in engineering, chess, agriculture, and anything that requires a formation.

"Second, Great Master! Great masters are usually below rank 10. Other civilizations may have many more levels between rank 1 and 9, but I believe those are unnecessary. There isn't much difference between ranks 1 to 9, as they all lack a clear understanding of how the universe and their world work."

"Great masters are at a level that allows them to use their mastery to improve their combat powers. A mage with a Great Master in the concept of Formations can completely outclass any mage of the same rank if they set up a formation in advance. It's even possible to challenge mages of higher rank. Great masters are rare, with the overwhelming majority of mages not mastering any concepts in their lifetimes."

"Third, it's Grandmaster! Grandmasters are either very talented rank 9s or talented rank 10s. Now, is it possible to have a rank 8 Grandmaster? Of course, it's also possible to have a rank 10 in only Great Master, but those are exceptions."

"Grandmasters are extremely capable. A Grandmaster in Formations can learn Coding much faster, set up a world on instinct, and easily defeat any mage of the same rank. Of course, if the opposing mage also has a Grandmaster understanding of some concept, then it wouldn't be so simple."

"Fourth, Great Grandmaster! Great Grandmasters are usually at rank 12 or 13."

"Great Grandmasters, especially in the concept of formations, are typically, but not always, the best coders in the universe.

They can set up protective formations that defend against all incursions and use complete laws to resist some universal laws temporarily."

"However, it's not economical because millions of complete laws are needed to resist just for a while. After all, the power difference is way too big!"

"Finally, the legend, Supreme Grandmaster! Supreme Grandmasters are at rank 14. Well, most of them are, but I know of some rank 13s who have supreme grandmaster understanding of some concepts."

"As for what they can do, a Supreme Grandmaster in formations can use material of only rank 10 to defend against universal laws. Although it's just a moment, it's very terrifying. Of course, those who attack a Supreme Grandmaster must have some supreme Grandmaster concept themselves, so it's not as simple as I sound."

Zagronan was listening carefully.

He was familiar with these classifications, but it was his first time hearing Rachel's classifications.

What he heard before was rank mastery. From rank 1 to 14, it was straightforward. In his opinion, Rachel's way just made it more complicated.

Anyway, he asked, "What is my mastery of the concept of Illusions?" After a billion years of trying, he estimated his mastery to be around 5th rank.

"You are on the edge of breaking through the Grandmaster realm!" She said.

Zagronan was surprised. "Why so high? Am I talented?" he asked.

"No, you are trash! A potato could have become a Grandmaster after a billion years!" she indignantly said.

"Then why? I thought I was only around 5th rank!" he said.

"The rank system is not reliable! Just trust me. After a few million years, you can reach Grandmaster. With Grandmaster, integrating illusion into Wisdom should be much easier," she said.

Grandmaster is possible for rank 9s. As for Great Grandmaster mastery ... without having a universal law, it's very close to impossible.

"Why should I do it? I'm not talented! Let me do the concept of Killing, Fire, or something more fitting. You can do illusion yourself!" he said with frustration. He hadn't seen Lana for thousands of years! Who knows what happened to her after so long?

"I am doing it like I have from countless years ago! I have Supreme Grandmaster mastery in many concepts. If I want, I can immediately help you integrate illusion into Wisdom. However, you must do it alone."

"Why?" Zagronan asked.

"It's classified," she said.

Zagronan sighed and started exploring the illusion again. This time, he should start the green dragon part.

...

Lee was sitting cross-legged. She had long finished the dreamland.

After many years of accompanying Karl, Lee finally reached its end. Dreamworlds are varied. Some are extremely dangerous, while others are very peaceful. It depends on the person.

Karl's dreams were peaceful, set in a very calm and lawful world. It was like food waiting to be chewed.

Lee, disguised as a two-meter-tall woman, not much taller than the average woman in the dream world, began to have a romantic relationship with Karl. She had no problem with it, as Karl was not real; he was only a dream.

They even gave birth to a boy named Alex.

After five thousand years, Karl finally died, and the dream world ended. She gained all of Karl's accomplishments and masteries.

Karl was a rank 13 existence when he was alive.

He had Great Grandmaster mastery in concepts of relations, law, books, justice, prison, bind, seal, imprison, guard, and moderation.

Grandmaster in Flowers, buildings, water, fire, soil, stone, iron, thread, tie, seconds, minutes, years, etc.

Great Master in papers, pen, pencil, Lawbook, pills, etc.

Along with all of those, Lee also gained some mastery of the concept of dream, although not enough to reach Great Master.

Concepts are frankly not difficult to understand.

When someone has mastery of the concept of fire, it means they have an intuition regarding all matters that involve fire.

Because a lot of matters involve fire, Fire mastery is very useful.

When one has a mastery of the concept of Lawbook, it means they have intuition regarding lawbooks.

Lawbooks are generally used mainly by mortals and are barely used beyond that; for this reason, mastery of lawbooks is nearly useless.

Not all masteries are equal.

She might be able to modify her Fragment laws with all these masteries.

She took Alex, who, after thousands of years, was still a baby for some reason and was teleported away by Rachel.

...

Dyer was happy.

After Dyer 'cleansed' Lewis, he began working hard to reach rank 10.

Today is the day!

Chapter 83: Lewis

Lewis's fragment law was Destiny.

However, after Dyer used destiny to reach rank 10, because of Rachel's coding, Lewis could no longer try to reach rank 10 using the law of destiny.

However, since then, Dyer Dyer has found two ways to solve this issue.

The first and most immediate solution was a Deal with Rachel.

Rachel's first meeting with Dyer was not pleasant, and that caused her not to consider him as a host candidate for a long time. After all, Dyer killed one of her hosts, and Rachel takes it to heart if one does that.

But when the main body ordered exploring fringe concepts, she decided to make a deal with Dyer.

The deal was straightforward.

He would spend all of his next 100 million years exploring fringe concepts. In exchange, Rachel would modify the laws to allow Lewis to advance.

To her astonishment, he refused! He had other options.

Lewis cannot use destiny to break through because of the laws of heaven. If Dyer takes Lewis with him to another world, the root of the problem will be solved. It's not easy, but possible.

So, Dyer got ready and met with Great Dream, the local ruler of the area.

If Rachel wanted, she could have asked her regional headquarters to warn Great Dream not to help. But she didn't care that much.

Dyer registered with Great Dream and received permission to live in a world of theirs and some helpful items for Lewis to reach rank 10.

It cost a lot; he must work for Great Dream long to repay the credit.

Of course, he can choose his tasks, maybe those that are not dangerous. It was not slavery.

Great Dream was the best choice; other worlds not controlled by Great Dream also existed in this area, but those could not be trusted. In contrast, Dyer had many of their inheritances and was most familiar with them.

He chose the devil that he knew.

Even though Lewis reaching rank 10 would not cost anything for Great Dream, they still demanded a lot of money from Dyer.

When you want something, others will use it to extract benefits. It happens even among high-level civilizations.

Dyer had no alternative, so he accepted.

As a result, it was no longer needed for Lewis to start from scratch.

If he were to start over, it would have taken far longer.

Dyer helped him reach the peak of rank 9.

with the peak of rank 9, Lewis was ready for advancement.

Speaking of Lewis, his behavior changed after the 'Cleansing,' but not in a good way. He became hostile toward him, speaking politely but with no emotion. It bothered Dyer, but he ignored these for the time being.

...

Here is a rank 11 world of Great Dream.

Any world with two complete laws is rank 11. However, in rank 11, there are significant variations.

The default rank 11 world of the Great Dream has two complete laws and is used for the world creation business. They put in time and space and are done with it.

But there are also other rank 11 worlds they own. Those are the ones their personnel will permanently live on.

Those rank 11 worlds may have thousands, maybe tens of thousands of complete laws built into them, making them far vaster than the default rank 11 world and far more complex.

Creating each is a big project, and much investing is needed. Great Dream has been making many new worlds lately, but the ones they create are primarily only default ones, with two complete laws.

Default worlds are easy to build; their codes are simple and require only two complete laws.

Dyer predicts the jobs they give him will be related to work creation.

They started building new worlds many years ago, but not even one percent has been built by now.

Creating worlds is not time-consuming; Great Dream is just bureaucratic; everything takes a long time.

They have manpower and resources, but actually doing it is another matter. So, their CEO decided that contracting others would be faster. Dyer is one of those contractors.

The world he is in is the biggest Great Dream has besides their rank 12 world.

It is made of nearly a million complete laws.

The coding is extremely complex, with many rank 10 and 11 immortals residing inside, carefully observing and maintaining it.

World maintenance is no joke, so even the bureaucratic Great Dream was careful.

Besides those, many other rank 10 and 11 immortals lived in this world.

Great Dream is an ancient civilization; even though they only have one complete law, one shouldn't underestimate their reserves.

Their number of rank 10, and 11 immortals rivals rank 13 civilizations.

More ancient civilizations have deep troves of immortals; their rank 10 members might be more numerous than rank 9.

Because immortals won't die, so when they advance, they can just remain. As they have no burden on the world, nobody would evict them.

Some immortals are tasked with managing some world, but most are just ideal.

Great Dream has thousands of different boards and screening committees, all of which have to approve any task.

The condition for gaining voting rights as an immortal is completing one task. Only immortals who are members can gain voting rights, so contractors like Dyer are not counted.

Some of those boards, which were controlled by the mortal population refused to approve any task; they don't want the immortal's voting powers to be more powerful than it is.

It all caused many issues, making the bureaucracy issue worse and worse, but nobody pushed to fix it.

Well, one particular recent CEO wanted to fix it, but he mysteriously disappeared.

...

Dyer was impressed.

The world had seven skies of seven colors, quite suited to his taste; after all, he founded the Seven Colors Academy with Lewis's help.

It had hell and heaven, an immortal realm, an underworld, an abyss, a land of gods, etc. The world had Both immortal system and cultivation systems along with the likes of gu system, card system, ring system, and even robots were thriving.

The mainland, where Dyer was now, had many mortal countries of all kinds; some parts were old-style with little technology, some with magical technology, some with very advanced mortal technology, and some with kings, emperors, presidents, CEOs, prime ministers, elders, etc. It was vast beyond Dyer's wildest imagination.

As a country bumpkin who only lived in a world with two complete laws, he felt inferior. He decided that one day, he would create his own world and his own civilization, exactly like the Great Dream today.

...

Lewis was on the ground in a room, and Dyer was watching.

Dyer already had experience with breaking through using destiny, so with his help, Lewis's path is paved.

Uncertainty about advancing can cause the danger of death. Lower ranks mistakenly think the risk is inherent, but they are wrong. If one can think of everything and prepare in advance, one can avoid all pitfalls and advance smoothly.

Today, Lewis had all of Dyer's experience and some very precious items; with them, his chances were high, nearly certain.

Those who rely on luck are either fools or desperate. Dyer would not let Lewis rely on chance.

The way to reach rank 10 is by completing one's fragment law; there is no one true method; anything goes as long as the complete law forms successfully.

Lewis already planned his technique.

He already knows the formula and has all the materials. So, he just takes the rank 10 concentration pill that Dyer got from Great Dream and tries to advance. It's a very simple way of doing it, but he thinks simplicity suits him most.

As such, he opened his eyes, looked at Dyer, and took out the concentration pill. Immortal pills of Great Dream shine brightly, with silver light, so bright that it can be seen from tens of kilometers above.

However, as Lewis took the pill out, the formation suppressed all the light. Dyer built it to isolate Lewis from the outside and reduce the chance of variables.

Lewis swallowed the concentration pill and then took out the containers. In these containers, different ways and fragment laws were stored.

He opened them one by one and absorbed them. He began forming the complete law with closed eyes according to the formula. After a few minutes, the main materials were added, and the complete law was nearly formed.

Just one step away.

But this one step is the one that makes most fail.

A complete law has main ingredients and side ingredients.

The main ingredients are just a few, less than 100 different kinds. For a rank 9 mage, it's easy to keep track of them.

But there are thousands of side ingredients, all in precise amounts. Even slight deviations can cause failure.

Worse, they all must be in a specific formation.

Thousands, maybe tens of thousands of different materials, some of which conflict, all in exact amounts, in a formation. Even rank 9 mages cannot keep track of all.

The best vehicle for the world to discover complete laws is rank 9s advancing; when they try to advance to rank 10, they are aided by the operation of related universal laws; however, even with that help, many fail to advance, even if they know the formula.

Even with a rank 10 concentration pill, it's difficult to keep track of them and prevent anything from going wrong. This step has nothing to do with knowledge. Even if one knows everything, one cannot avoid its difficulty. Lewis still feels amazed at how Dyer managed to do it.

If anyone else, it might have been very challenging. But Lewis has an item given by Dyer. It's called 'Breath of Existence.'

It's just air that touches the universal law of existence. This 'breath' can replace all those materials.

So, Lewis only brought the most essential components of the law of Destiny and planned on using the 'breath of existence' to supplement others. Not all universal laws can do this. 'Existence' is very broad, so it can replace almost all.

A broad universal law has many advantages, along with its weaknesses.

He finally turned to the breath of existence after taking in most essential ways and fragment laws. It was in a bottle, sealed tightly, like other ingredients.

He opened it and carefully inhaled. Then, he closed his eyes.

From the outside, nothing is visible. Dyer, standing in a faraway place, also didn't see anything. If he uses investigative spells, maybe he can, but he doesn't want to risk it.

From inside, a lot is happening. 'Breath of Existence' is turning into all kinds of ways and fragments laws exactly the ones Lewis needs. He practiced with 'breath of existence' before, so he is experienced in how to work with it.

It turned into the exact amount of every ingredient, without any problem and at the same time. As long as all ingredients in the specific amount are placed in the formation, even if it's a moment, it's enough.

Lewis was a rank 9 mage with more than one hundred million years of experience; he successfully created the formation just for a moment. Maybe in the next moment, the formation falls apart.

But who cares about the next moment!

All the ingredients and Lewis's original fragment law of destiny disappeared, and a new force emerged. It was majestic, with a vigor he never had before.

From this moment, Lewis can live as long as the universe.

Dyer waited. He knew Lewis succeeded but still waited for him. After a while, Lewis stood up.

"Congratulations!" said Dyer. He was delighted!

With Lewis advancing to rank 10, nothing can separate them. Except …

"Dyer, thank you for all you've done, but I'm afraid I want to go and explore the universe alone," he said.

"What?" Dyer was astonished.

"I hope to see you later, maybe a million years later, maybe a billion!" he said.

Dyer touched his forehead and didn't speak. Not even a word. He turned around and left Lewis alone.

Lewis didn't regret it. What Dyer had done that day, the 'Cleansing' of him of light element, was very telling.

Even after cleansing, Lewis didn't change his mind on anything.

He was still tired of living and wanted to live the rest of his life peacefully.

But, he thought of Dyer.

Dyer cared about him too much.

It's not healthy to live your life for someone else.

So he decided to leave so Dyer could find out how to live without him.

After being with one another for so long, both had forgotten how to live alone.

Lewis got permission to return to heaven. He still has an apprentice there.

He very much likes that young kid, Alistair. With less than 200,000 years old, he can be considered a child in front of Lewis. But, as a youngster, his ideas are interesting.

Maybe he can be inspired by him to regain the drive to advance further.

Because, at the moment, Lewis has no desire to advance further.

...

Heaven was floating around without any obstruction in the endless space. It was the territory of the Great Dream, but they controlled not every single world.

Rachel controlled heaven, so any war was unlikely. Still, Rachel improved the defensive system out of habit. She added a space junk radar, along with missile spells. Missile spells are rank 10 and will shoot at any space junk.

Heaven is now a proper rank 10 world with an excellent defensive system and a skilled manager who can fix all coding problems skillfully.

...

Bertha took another pill. After so long, she reached rank 8.

Even without trying hard to advance, with the daily pills alone, she was much faster than anybody else.

"Okay, enough for today!" said Rachel.

Bertha's life is incredibly dull. It's uneventful, with no action and essentially nothing to do.

For Rachel, it's not a problem. She lost her emotions long ago, and she even enjoys a little from the uneventfulness of heaven.

Bertha nodded to Rachel and said, "I'm visiting my daughter today!"

Chapter 84: Crisp

Emma was happy and content like all other 'mortals' living in heaven. It might be hard to understand the effects of light elements for someone who has never experienced it.

Light elements wipe out all negative emotions entirely. One can only experience happiness, joy, love, etc.; emotions like boredom are nonexistent.

Some emotions, like anger, can briefly break through the suppression, but only temporarily. One can resist the light elements briefly, but only the 'divine species' can resist it entirely.

Humans and elves, beast people, etc, can never truly adapt to light elements like the divine species.

High-level mages can resist it, but they must always be careful. If they are inadvertently affected, they might start to like it and no longer resist it.

Light elements are an extremely pleasant and addicting drug that is good for health.

One can sit somewhere and stare at a wall for centuries and never feel any hunger, tiredness, or boredom at all; all they feel is joy and happiness from sitting and staring at the wall. The light element heals any injury, feeds the body, keeps one healthy, and is excellent for physical health.

Emma, born in heaven, has never experienced what 'boring' is. She was 'immortal' from birth, so she never thought about what 'time' is, what 'death' is, or what 'sadness' is. She is the purest possible.

Today, she cannot tolerate an ordinary mortal world. If she were to experience all those negative emotions, she would likely die of sadness.

Just like an addict who loses her drug dies of withdrawals.

Still, Emma was not sitting somewhere staring at the wall. Every once in a while, she had parties with friends, maybe walking in nature, trying different foods, and enjoying other entertainments. Her mother also came to the parties.

However, even to this day, her mother never ate anything non-plant-based. She is just too committed to wood elves' traditions.

Tonight, her mother also came to the party and didn't eat anything as usual.

Parties are not really exciting in heaven. In contrast with most mortals in normal worlds, people here don't need any wine, beer, etc., to 'feel' the party. They occasionally take some shots, but only one small cup or two.

They care about the taste, not about being drunk. Sometimes, they may also dance, but those dances are very calm, not what one might expect from a typical party.

Of course, it might not be all because of light energy; another factor might be that everyone is very old. They look young, but they are actually all fossils.

...

Bertha returned home from the party and went to bed.

She didn't feel any sense of aimlessness, tiredness, or any negative feelings. Her love for Millan is as powerful as ever.

In bed, Millan hugged Bertha, and the two slept quietly.

...

Otis Rivera was a man with a captivating presence. Someone can't see him and not stare at him.

He was 1.77 meters tall, with a big mustache and short hair. His clothes were like a medieval warrior's, with luxurious armor and a sword at his side.

His eyes were gray, like an eagle's—deep and captivating. His skin was white but not pale. His appearance could be considered that of a mass killer or military leader, depending on his clothing. However, he was neither. He was a king—the king of River Country. He had created River Country and become its king.

He observed and thought solemnly.

The country of White Castle is the neighboring country that attacked one of the River country's cities two months ago.

As a prideful, mighty king, Otis, of course, cannot tolerate it. So he gathered an army and attacked.

He was a warrior, so he came to command the battle personally.

Otis personally leading the battle boosted his troop's morale immensely. He usually hangs out with his soldiers, ensuring everyone sees him fighting alongside them.

In battles, his troops never run or hide; they fight to the last breath. All are incredibly loyal to Otis, ready to die for him.

He looked at the lines of troops standing there, thinking of strategy for the upcoming battle.

Suddenly, a bright orange light came from the sky.

He looked up.

Before he can see anything ...

He turned into ashes!

...

Red laughed! He had just crisped a big army.

"Hey, don't do this stuff!" said Rachel.

"But I love it!" Red laughed evilly.

Rachel sighed.

Red wasn't originally evil, but events in the past had turned him this way.

To begin with, he never had any feelings toward humans; he always considered them no different from food or insects. Sure, one doesn't even treat insects like this, killing them for fun;

Red wouldn't have done this in the past. But, he would now.

Red was afraid of heights, which was a source of shame for him. To find a solution, his mother brought a treasure. The treasure was said to be from the Demon King of Wisdom. It used to be in heaven but was stolen by him when he defected to hell.

After the Demon King of Wisdom was mysteriously killed, this treasure was found by dragons, and his mother managed to borrow it.

Rachel advised him not to use it, but Red was too desperate. His unusual fear of heights made him feel useless, not deserving to live. One shouldn't underestimate dragons' culture and the importance of flying.

So, he used it.

The rest goes without saying.

He found truth in torching everyone, and since then, he began burning everything he thinks is beautiful.

His fear of heights completely disappeared, though.

He lived with his mother for a while longer until he melted all of her treasure. Then, her mother threw him out.

Red was actually stronger than his mother, but he still wasn't willing to torch his mother. It might be because he retained a part of his 'Dragon-ity,' or maybe he wants to keep the best for last.

Red became homeless but didn't stop torching. He torched hell until the hell's boundary wall disappeared a while ago.

Since then, Red came out and started torching human cities. No matter how much Rachel tried to dissuade him, he didn't listen.

Red is powerful, being a rank 8 red dragon. It's easy for him to torch entire countries.

However, he likes to do it slowly and observe everyone he torches. He is already famous among mages, but nobody came out to stop him. To begin with, this is a weak continent, with only a few rank 8 mages.

Those rank 8 mages were well connected; they knew Red was one of Rachel's hosts, so they didn't dare show themselves and just abandoned everything and ran to another continent.

It left only mortals and some lon mages waiting to be crisped.

"Look, another city!" He was excited when he saw it.

Rachel was used to him being like this, but still, she wanted to avoid casualties.

"Red, I am going to fix you!" She wanted to request Rachel #1 to check his codes.

As a rank 8 Rachel, she herself can also do it, but she doesn't have a lot of energy. Rachel #1 has nearly all of the energy.

Red was like this for years, but she didn't care much.

Because there were many other evil demons in hell, Red wasn't a problem.

But now, the evil demons are eliminated, and hell's boundary opened. Now, Red is the only one running wild and destroying everything.

Rachel doesn't care much about mortals, but she still hates killing for no reason.

But before she can ask Rachel #1, something happened.

"Hey, look, I feel a lot of energy from that city," Red said.

Rachel looked, and her expression changed.

"What? What is this?" She was astonished.

...

The city of Byron was huge. It had two million residents and a thriving market.

Recently, a coffin was found in ruins. They tried to open it but failed. Ultimately, it was put up for auction and bought by Count Byron, the noble responsible for the city.

He brought a mage to try to open it. The mage also failed.

So, they just put it in the museum to remain. It was supposed to be a mystery for future generations.

Who knew the entire city and the museum would be gone a few days later?

...

Red blew, and fire almost instantly killed everyone in the city. The temperature and intensity were so high that nobody had a chance to run or scream. The whole area was reduced to ashes except for one dark red coffin.

"The energy is from that thing!" said Red.

He blew with all of his strength. The ground first melted, then evaporated.

He continued blowing, and more and more of the soil evaporated. As it went on, the ground no longer melted but directly evaporated.

After a few hours, a deep hole was created.

Red sat at the bottom of it. There was still a long way until the bottom, but Red stopped.

The door of the coffin opened.

A man with black hair was sleeping in it.

"Who is it?" asked Red.

"Let me think! Hmm. I don't know! Let's just check the code!" she chose the easiest way.

The coffin obstructed her view of the code, so she didn't know what was in it before.

"I can't see the code! How is it possible?" she felt unbelievable.

She always could see all codes, so not seeing it was unthinkable.

Technically, a living being doesn't have a code, but she can gather lots of information by looking at the 'codes' of their energy, rank, spells, etc. Ranks and spells, etc, are not codes, but Rachel can transform them into codes to observe them.

This ability is very high level, with only a few having it.

She searched in the database. To her surprise, a lot of information came up!

"Demon king of sloth? Rank 13? Wait, is it one of my hosts?" she felt increasingly astonished.

Demon king of sloth was the owner of tokens to a few universal laws: the Universal Law of Sloth, laziness, energy conservation, eternal motionlessness, etc.

For someone who always sleeps, obtaining all of this is unthinkable. But, one should not underestimate the Demon King of Sloth.

Sleeping is not for tiredness for him. When he is sleeping, he is strengthening his understanding of universal laws. Although Rachel believes that he also likes sleeping, she also thinks the real reason must be because of researching universal laws.

As a result, the Demon King, named Lazy George, has an exceptionally terrifyingly high mastery of the concept of laziness.

The database says that he had Supreme Grandmaster mastery countless years ago. Now, it should be much higher.

There is one higher rank than the supreme grandmaster.

However, Rachel doesn't have that mastery of any concepts. She also doubts that Lazy George has it.

Lazy George also has another distinction. He is one of the very few high-level hosts who killed their Rachel.

Rachel can die, too. As long as the pill container gets destroyed, Rachel dies.

Lazy George killed his Rachel long ago and fled. There was no trace of him since then.

"To think he was here all along!" she was astonished.

She observed the codes of the world around him and noticed they were being bent and affected by Lazy George's subconscious.

"so, that's why this world recognizes him as the legitimate demon king of this world." she thought.

Also, Rachel wondered about the coffin.

It can isolate inside from outside. He couldn't have affected the world's code if the coffin's door was always closed. It shows that the coffin was open most of the time.

"Why did he close it, and why did it open it now? Did it open intentionally?" she thought.

The situation is very dangerous. If he wakes up now, she cannot run at all.

However, she doesn't care. A rank 8 Rachel being captured is not a serious problem. It's instead better to remain and collect as much info as possible.

The database says Lazy George never wakes up for anything, so the possibility of him waking up now is minimal.

Rachel thought and sighed.

"Let's bury it!" she thought.

Today, the main body wants no trouble.

It would be good to take revenge, but if it brings trouble, it's not worth it.

Lazy George is powerful.

He is asleep now, but if his life is in danger, he can get pretty aggressive.

The main body gains absolutely nothing if she kills Lazy George. She cannot gain any universal laws because when the true owners die, 'the Office' gains the sole right to universal laws. Lazy George's memory is useless, and his mastery is not what she wants now.

What she wants is stability and no uncertainty.

George has some very specific universal laws.

For Main Body Rachel, Lazy George is nothing, but he most likely can escape with his life using one particular universal law she knows he has.

There is a risk of him running, with a remote possibility that he might cause trouble.

As a result, Rachel wants to keep things calm and wait for the main body to decide.

After all, now, she knows where he is.

The situation was an emergency, so Rachel didn't bother arguing with Red.

She just modified the code and directly took control of Red. This way of doing it is very expensive, but Rachel doesn't want to give any task to the current Red.

After a while, the hole was filled using the surrounding soil.

She left enough space and didn't directly dump all the soil on Lazy George's face.

After ensuring the location was well hidden, she controlled Red and burned the rest of the continent as well.

It's suspicious if only this one location is crisped, but it won't stand out if the whole continent is crisped.

She hates pointless slaughter, but when there is a reason, she doesn't care about innocent life.

She directed Red to Lee continent and started communicating with Rachel #1.

As for what Rachel #1 does, it has nothing to do with her.

All that was left behind was a burnt continent in ashes.

An unimaginable number of people died. But they were weak. So, nobody cared.

After a few thousand years, the ground and earth were recovered, with trees growing back.

Some mortals migrated again.

A few thousand years after that, civilizations spread.

Kingdoms and nobles popped out again, and mages returned.

Nobody remembered people who lived here before.

Everything continued Like nothing had happened.

Chapter 85: The Birth of A Monster

The Magician Academy was the first mage-dominated Rank 13 civilization in the universe, boasting over 300 universal laws.

In contrast to the Clear Water Sect, the Magician Academy was not governed by a single individual. Instead, a Mage High Council comprising Rank 12 and Rank 13 mages assumed responsibility for governance.

Such a structure is typically very unstable, with many failing; however, the Magician Academy defied this trend. High-ranking mages were deeply committed to the academy, prioritizing its well-being above all else. Prospective mages were required to swear an oath to the academy before obtaining mage status, a commitment guaranteed.

Those rank 12 and 13 mages also had to swear an oath with 'Market' being the witness before being able to join the council.

'Market' has long commercialized its oath witnessing; high-level civilizations can buy it at a reasonable price. It's popular among many.

The Magician Academy presides over five Rank 13 worlds, sixteen Rank 12 worlds, and numerous Rank 11 and 10 worlds.

While the management of Rank 13 and 12 worlds falls under the direct purview of the council, lower-ranking worlds are given more autonomy, provided they follow a general path set by the council.

Diverse species and worlds populated the academy, all dedicated to following the mage path.

One was named NW6827544HD, a typical Rank 11 world with fifteen complete laws. It was given to a mage family—the Booker family.

In contrast to many other worlds, the Booker family actively participated in mortal affairs, appointing nobles, lords, ministers, and the like.

A distinctive feature of the Booker family was their leader, Ellena Booker, one of the two Rank 11 mages in this world. She was not the typical mage committed to following the truth.

She cared a lot about what mortals do and how they live.

It's said that her childhood experience was the reason for her strange behavior.

In some worlds, gender equality exists; in others, women face discrimination, and in some, men are discriminated against.

No rule dictates women always end up as underdogs; men can also be in that position. NW6827544DH is an example of such a world.

Ellena considered herself a pragmatist and deemed allowing 'males' with unfavorable 'genes' to reproduce to be illogical.

Many mages will disagree with this view.

Research by the academy shows the diversity of genes is the best way to get geniuses, so most encourage interspecies and interracial marriages.

However, in matters of mortals, the Magician Academy had no authority. Other mages' words and thoughts didn't matter; only Ellena's ideas mattered.

Consequently, she established yearly contests for 8-year-old 'boys' where winners were 'granted' the 'privilege' to have children.

As for what happens to losers ...

Ellena initially wanted to 'dispose' of them but was presuaded to allow them to continue living. As long as they cannot have children, she thought, everything should be fine.

Unfortunately, women didn't fare much better in this system.

If a country failed to meet its target for the number of children per year, it could issue 'duty papers' to women, essentially forcing them to give birth. However, such occurrences were rare.

Women's longevity was very long, and the mortality rate was low, with rank 0 health pills widely available; most diseases were also completely extinct.

Women remained young and fertile throughout their lives due to a formation set by Ellena's order.

The situation was different for men, who had far shorter lifespans and did get old as they aged.

Ellena specifically and intentionally excluded men from the formation; it wouldn't have cost anything to allow men to be included, but Ellena didn't want it.

Ellena was very radical from any mortal's perspective, but no high-ranking mage bothered to intervene.

High-ranking mages seldom intervene in matters of mortals, no matter how bad the situation is.

There were other disadvantages for men in this world. Certain jobs, promotions, and specialties were off-limits to them.

Discrimination existed from birth to death.

It wasn't always like this; it used to be the opposite.

Before Ellena, women used to be discriminated against, although not nearly to this level.

But after she took over the Booker family, everything changed.

All these restrictions disappear if a boy has mage talent. The Magicians Academy regulates mages, so Ellena cannot interfere with them.

The boys with mage talent who qualify for the academy will be treated equally with girls, live in luxury in the Magician Academy branch in NW6827544HD. Still, they cannot interfere in mortal affairs, as the Booker family is solely responsible for that.

In this context, Jeremy, a boy originally from Earth who was hit by a bus while trying to save a child, found himself transmigrated to this world.

...

Jeremy lay in a crib.

He is one year old today, yet his brain functions better than an adult's.

Lately, he pondered extensively on the day the bus had struck.

"Why does this sound so similar to those novels? I'm starting to believe those novels had roots in reality! Maybe they also transmigrated like me and managed to return to tell their tale? The best way is to write a novel; if you say it seriously, they think you're crazy!" he thought.

What are the chances? He read numerous novels about people hit by buses, trucks, etc., and now, it has happened to him.

"Or maybe everyone gets transmigrated once they die?" he wondered.

Just as he contemplated this, a nurse arrived and began feeding him. In this life, Jeremy was an orphan.

He could still recall the voice of his mother saying, "Take 'it' away from me!"

It was the first sentence he heard; his mother was not happy to have given birth. Jeremy couldn't imagine the pain leading a mother to say such words.

He gave up on his mother and chose to forget her, not wanting to bother her and cause her to recall whatever happened to her.

After all, his body was that of a baby, but his brain was that of an adult. He was very understanding and kind in his past life, and he intended to remain so in this life.

He drank the milk and drifted off to sleep.

...

A year later, Jeremy could walk and talk at two years old.

A while ago, he noticed a strange thing: every orphan child was a boy.

"Do they segregate children by gender? What the hell? What world did I transmigrate into?" he started to get worried. For them to segregate babies by gender, their views must be very messed up.

...

Another year passed.

At three years old, Jeremy understood much more. If he had a choice, he would have changed his gender.

"I'm in trouble. Where are you, system?" he cried secretly.

This world has severe gender discrimination against men, to the point where even orphanages for girls and boys are different.

Girls would be taken to high-grade care facilities and are prioritized in parenting. Essentially, if there is an orphan girl, she has to be taken first before anyone can take any boy.

"To think that they do this to babies!" he exclaimed angrily.

...

Another year passed.

At age four, the people at the orphanage started teaching them.

The subjects ranged from math to science to combat abilities.

"What are these? Why are you teaching these to us?" he wondered.

The subjects taught had nothing to do with children.

If anyone didn't learn, they would beat them; if they cried, they beat them; if they complained, they beat them.

It was worse than slave camps in books, although he really had no idea how slave camps were. Still, he looked at his blood-red hands and nodded; even slave owners don't do this to such young children.

"Or, do they?" he started to think about the books in his past life. Just as he was distracted, the woman in charge of the class hit him on the hand again!

"Ahh," even with the mind of an adult, he started crying. The math and lessons were easy. His habit of getting lost in thought was the reason he was beaten up.

"When I'm teaching, you must listen!" she said.

"What a sadist!" he complained, deciding to pay her back when he got older.

...

Another year passed.

Yesterday, strange people came and tested the children one by one for 'mage' talent.

It basically confirmed Jeremy's guess.

"This world has magic!" Then, tears came to his eyes.

These were not tears of joy; they were from sadness. Today, Jeremy is at a breaking point.

After being born in this 'hell,' becoming a mage was his only hope; however, he had no talent.

Another boy in his class had mage talent. The moment it was revealed he had talent, the 'teacher,' whom Jeremy called the 'butcher,' turned 180. She acted like the boy was her dear child, showing care and concern.

Just a day before, she had struck the same child that he was sent to a doctor, and the day after, she treated him like she cared.

It disgusted Jeremy to no end.

"Even if I can't get revenge, I hope Mike grows into a powerful mage and takes revenge!" he thought with rage.

After five years, he had given up hope on the 'system'.

...

Another year passed.

He gave up too soon! On his 6th birthday, the system finally appeared.

Name: Jeremy Strength: 0.3 Agility: 0.4 Mental strength: 0.9 Free attribute point: 0

It only had these three stats, with nothing like mage talent present. However, with this system, life returned to his eyes. With the system, one day, he would become the strongest!

...

Another year passed.

Name: Jeremy Strength: 0.4 Agility: 0.5 Mental strength: 0.9 Free attribute point: 0

After the initial hype, reality began to hit. He tried all the ways he could think of but failed to get even one attribute point.

He complained about why the system didn't give any starting pack like in novels. He should find out how the attribute system works as soon as possible.

...

Another year passed.

A few days ago, it was announced that the grand test was about to start.

In the 8th year of boys' lives, the grand contests begin.

It is to 'weed out the undesirable' gene.

These mentions about 'genes' gave Jeremy flashbacks to a certain man with a tiny mustache in his previous life. Still, he was helpless, so he went along with it and tried hard to be accepted in one of the categories.

There are categories of art, math, chemistry, literature, sports, intelligence, etc. With his grown brain, he must be able to be accepted in at least one.

For him now, he just wants to stay whole and find out how the system works.

He doesn't want to know what 'weed out' means. It sure doesn't sound good.

...

Another year passed.

Now Jeremy knows what 'Weed out' means!

It's essentially cutting off the balls! He still shudders from the pain of what they did to him that day.

Yes, even with his adult brain, he failed in all categories. The competition was between all boys of the entire world, so those who passed were all geniuses. Jeremy wasn't dumb, but he wasn't a genius.

After that day, he became suicidal. But he thought of the future. It's no guarantee that he will be reborn again if he dies. And this world is magical, so surely there are ways to heal the 'injury.' He convinced himself that he would find a way to fix it.

...

Another year passed.

The 'teachers' stopped teaching anything about math, arts, etc. Instead, they began teaching crafts. It was obvious they were getting ready to abandon the orphans.

Even after all these years, Jeremy still hasn't found how the system works.

Every time he goes to the bathroom, or even when he walks, he 'feels' the lack of 'those' between his legs. The physiological pressure is driving him mad and twisted.

When he first came here, he didn't want to bother his mom because she might have experienced something terrible. If he sees her now, he might rip her to pieces.

He wants to harm something.

"I'm going to take revenge! From everyone! Everyone!" he continued walking and learning, only reminding himself of this every minute!

...

Another year passed! Jeremy was smiling.

"HaHaHaHaHaHa," he laughed loudly. He finally found out!

He had tried killing ants and animals before but never killing humans.

After all that happened, however, he finally found the courage and killed one of his classmates!

To his astonishment, as soon as he killed the boy who always bullied him, his Potential points jumped to one!

"Just wait, I'm going to destroy you all!" Blood was splattered on his face as he shouted.

Chapter 86: Rank 13 Skill

Who are transmigrators? Rachel found out the answer to this question long ago when she reached rank 13.

Rachel herself is a transmigrator. Other transmigrators only appear as the first children of her hosts.

Some transmigrators inherit empty shell systems, as she named them, and some inherit 'Original' systems.

She can easily modify empty shell systems, so she won't pay much attention. Empty shells are usually far weaker than original systems.

Original systems, however, are unmodifiable and much stronger, so she pays great attention to them.

But, no matter which, none compare with her system. Her system is the first ever one that appeared in this universe. All other transmigrators only appear in places she controls, with one exception.

At rank 13, she gets one skill, depending on her evaluation. For a negative 'evil' evaluation, she gets one skill named "pull transmigrator."

Basically, she can request a transmigrator in any location she wants. What's more, because she pulls them, she can control their life and death with a thought.

She can only have one transmigrator for each incarnation that reaches rank 13 and gets the skill; still, this ability is very powerful. All transmigrators pulled by this ability have Original systems; one shouldn't underestimate the ability of Original systems.

With her skill, Rachel can put these transmigrators in any of her enemies' worlds; if they stay alive, they most likely cause disruptions; if they die, she can pull another.

This skill is one of her trump cards. She can attack anybody without any cost without them noticing she is the one attacking.

Rachel recently used this skill against Magical Academy.

The attack is only a test; she isn't going all out against them. Recently, the anti-Rachel faction has been very active. They have had successes, but only because she allowed them to have successes to build Lin Ming's character as a great leader.

She has been successful, with Lin Ming now being regarded as the leader of the anti-Rachel alliance.

Still, she wants to test this ability for the day when something goes wrong. She did test it long ago, but regular testing is a necessity.

She has the option to choose the gender of the transmigrator, their look, their moral character, and many other details. She chose a world with a twisted government and then pulled a male transmigrator from Earth.

The world had a very discriminatory system against men. So, she specifically chose a boy to make him suffer.

The boy's character was mostly good. Who are the most terrifying evil people? By experience, Rachel thinks those who are good and then become bad are the most frightening.

So, she set up for him to suffer and become evil, thirsty for revenge.

Then, she waited.

The boy cannot do it all alone. With immortals guarding there, he cannot do much. Therefore, it would be necessary to help a bit.

After all, this is only a test regarding how an attack would go. She cannot get any data if she allows the immortals to take him out quickly.

She aims to design a strategy that allows the transmigrators to get powerful and be able to cause disruptions without her help.

She is also doing many other tests with all kinds of personalities.

Transmigrators of all kinds, males, females, other genders, different species, different personalities, different worlds, etc., she is going to test them all to discover the best strategy of attacking using the 'pull transmigrator' skill.

She is smart, but testing in the real world is a must.

As for how she helps Jeremy ...

The Original systems that Rachel pulls cannot be modified, but a one-sided energy aid is possible.

When Rachel felt the boy started killing for energy, she smiled and sent a 'starting pack' to the boy.

"Have fun, Boy!" she laughed.

...

Jeremy, who had just killed someone, was getting worried. He had the potential to become very strong, but if mages saw him before he got strong, he might die.

"I should hide it!" he thought and was about to start digging the ground when ...

"Ding- the system's gift package arrived! Attribute points +999,999,999,999."

"What?" he stared as if dreaming. He wanted a 'package' like others in novels, but…

He looked at the system:

Strength: 0.7Agility: 0.8Mental strength: 1.2Free Attribute points: 1,000,000,000,000."It's real!" he exclaimed. He started to regret why it didn't appear sooner but soon put all the negative thoughts away.

"Now, I can take my revenge!" he laughed.

"Add 1,000,000 to my strength and agility!" he said to the system.

Immediately, he felt indescribable, like being sad but happy, calm but worried. The next moment, he found himself on the ground.

He couldn't move, not even lift his eyelids.

"What is going on?" he wondered.

The system, which was silent until now, started explaining, "Your mental power cannot control your body!"

He was surprised to see the system talking but ignored it and ordered, "Add 100,000 to my mental power!"

This time, he felt like the world stopped. Everything became very slow and clear. He could feel what was happening throughout the orphanage as if it was part of his body.

He stood up and looked at the orphanage building.

"Let's test it!"

He started walking to Butcher's office.

As always, she was punishing some poor boy. Jeremy had encountered a lot of these predators in his past life. They were the most malicious, going into places with vulnerable people and tormenting them to satisfy themselves.

The butcher looked in Jeremy's direction and started moving.

"Why are you here? Looks like I didn't teach you enough!" she said.

Jeremy smirked and caught the hand of the butcher that was about to hit him.

"What?" she was surprised.

With a twist, the hand was turned at an angle that it wasn't meant to. "Aaaa," she screamed.

Jeremy felt a sense of joy as he watched her scream. He was not like this in his past life; he used to be a caring person.

But what they did to him is...

Anger took over him.

"Attribute point +866."

The next moment, he looked around and was surprised.

In his rage, he punched the butcher.

He didn't want to kill her so quickly, but he got out of control.

He would have never lost control like this before.

"It looks like my mental power should be equal to other attributes to be safe," He thought.

"Add 900,000 to my mental strength," He ordered.

He felt much clearer as if the entire world was under his control. Of course, it was an illusion.

He regained his focus and looked around.

Unknowingly, the punch wiped out the entire orphanage! Even more terrifying, a few small mountains behind the orphanage were destroyed, as if someone had dug the whole mountain out.

One million people's strength is not to be underestimated!

...

Steven was monitoring around.

He was a mage who, in general, was very dissatisfied with the Booker family, but as a rank 2 mage, he didn't have a choice.

He did try to help some poor boys but was careful not to be caught. Just as he was monitoring, he heard a loud bang.

"What was that?"

In this world, not a lot of fights happen. Things are peaceful.

Steven moved toward there and saw a kid among a lot of rubbles.

He landed and asked, "What happened?"

The boys looked at him emotionlessly and said, "It's you!"

"You know me?" he asked.

"Of course I do! You were the one who did that to me that year!" he said.

"What are you talking about!" he was confused.

"You know what!" he pointed to his crotch.

Just then, Steven found out what he was talking about.

The Booker family ordered a few mages to operate a formation to mass castrate the 'undesirables.' Steven hated it to his core but couldn't stop it.

"I'm sorry for what happened, but it wasn't me who did it!" he said.

He knew one of the people who volunteered to do it, but it had nothing to do with him.

The next second, he was shot far away!

"What's going on? Why is he so powerful?" he was astonished.

The punch was so strong that it directly vaporized his heart when the boy punched him in the chest. Fortunately, he was able to live without a heart; otherwise, he would have died!

Steven no longer tried to talk; instead, he cast his spell, "Freeze." Jeremy felt a cold force covering his body, trying to stop his movements.

He sneered and moved as if the force wasn't there.

"Why isn't it working!" Just then, the spell broke!

Steven threw up a mouthful of blood.

"Nooo!" Another punch came with speed far superior to rank 2 mages. This time, it hit Steven on the head!

He dropped to the ground, dead!

"two!" Jeremy counted the people he killed.

He missed counting the many orphans who he killed 'accidentally.'

He wanted to think about his next plan, but before he could, another mage appeared.

His thinking speed was far faster than before, but he wasn't familiar with it and could not utilize it well.

He was still unconsciously thinking at the same speed as before.

Otherwise, even one second would have been enough to think as much as he wanted.

This one had a much stronger aura.

The orphanage was relatively close to the regional headquarters of the Magician Academy, so it was no surprise that they noticed it.

The mage looked at the corpse and didn't say anything.

He directly cast "Freeze." Catching this strange 'creature' alive is the best. He can always employ more fatal spells.

Jeremy felt an extremely cold energy covering him, making his movements difficult. A moment later, he felt utterly unable to move.

"System, add 1,000,000,000 to my strength, agility, and mental power each!"

Immediately, his strength soared, and the restricting energy was broken like paper.

The mage, surprised, had no time before the punch hit and disintegrated him into pieces.

"Attribute points +1."

"Even such powerful mages only give one point? Is the system encouraging me to kill mortals? Who cares? I'm going to kill them all! Everyone!" he saw his actions as justified. Or rather, in the last few years, he suffered so much mental damage that he cannot think straight.

Even the massive boost in mental strength didn't help him; it made him more firm.

Just as he was about to begin his revenge, another mage appeared.

"Are these like ants? Kill one, and more and more appear to investigate?" he wondered.

Still, he didn't care.

This time, he attacked with a punch first!

The mage, a woman with long hair, snapped with her fingers! Jeremy felt space around him expand, trying to tear him apart into pieces! But his body was too strong! He resisted it!

The woman, named Rose, was beyond surprised! The snap just now can even explode rank 6 mages into blood mist!

How can someone with absolutely no aura resist it?

The punch arrived, and … Rose caught it in one hand.

After all, even if she is a mage, as a rank 7, her body is unimaginably powerful.

"System, add 100,000,000,000 to my strength, agility, and mental power each."

His power soared! The punch that was caught punched through Rose's defense and killed her after exploding her face!

"Attribute points +1."

"Really, no matter how powerful the mage, I can only get one!" he thought disappointedly.

After waiting a while and ensuring no other mage came, he moved around and destroyed some cities.

He was surprised to notice he felt no sympathy toward anything.

He wanted to stop and temporarily hide to plan for the future.

But soon, another mage arrived.

...

A man with gray hair was standing in the remnants of a city.

He was around one meter long, with a beard and dirty clothes. Jeremy could feel this man's strength clearly this time, thanks to his very high mental strength.

"No way! Is he a god? How can he be this powerful?" he was frozen from fear.

"Freeze," the man cast a spell.

An incomparable cold energy covered him and stopped all of his movements.

"System, add all points to my strength!"

Right now, he just wants to break through this coldness.

His strength soared, but the restraint remained and didn't budge.

The man noticed the difference and frowned deeply. He wanted to research to find where that sudden boost in strength came from.

Just as Jeremy was readying himself to die, the system sounded again!

"System Achievement! Meet a rank 11 mage! Attribute points +999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999"! Jeremy didn't even know how many digits it was!

He just ordered! "Add all my remaining points equally between my stats!"

The restraint immediately broke, and the man ran away! The next moment, a powerful explosion devastated exactly where the man was standing a moment ago!

Even the world laws in that area were wrecked; a hole opened where chaos energy was entering the world!

The man who used teleportation to run away was horrified! He immediately informed Ellena to order evacuation!

A hole in the world is nearly unrepairable.

Building a new world from scratch is cheaper than trying to fix it.

Because the world's codes have many layers of shield to protect against chaos energy, if the world is so damaged that the chaos energy can enter, then the code is in a state of unrepairability.

Codes are all connected; it's not possible to just cut off come pirce.

That is unless rank 13 mages with high mastery in formation come and do it. But those mages have better things to do than repair a rank-11 world.

The man with gray hair ran to the headquarters of the magician academy and gathered all talented mages and precious resources as soon as possible.

This strange creature is far stronger than something he or Ellena can handle.

Maybe some strong rank 11s can stop it, but those are for later.

Ellena is not much stronger than the mage of the Magician Academy, so she also plans to run away.

After becoming rank 11 and having an endless lifespan, she is unwilling to risk her life for the world.

She observed the hole in the world and gave up.

She also ordered an evacuation.

Jeremy, though, was not relenting. He continued punching around, poisoned by his massive strength boost and madder than ever!

The world's laws started falling apart faster and faster.

Rank 10 and rank 11 worlds would be destroyed by sheer force. Rank 12 worlds, though, can never be harmed as long as their universal law is active and not suppressed.

With Jeremy's continued destruction, the world fell far faster than Ellena expected.

As a result, she just grabbed rank 9 mages, along with talents of the Booker family, and along with other rank 10s and Ted, the rank 11 agent of the academy in this world, they all ran away.

More and more chaos energy spread everywhere, eroding the world from within.

Just after a few minutes, the world completely fell apart.

The space junks started hitting the neighboring worlds.

This area is solely dominated by the Magician Academy, so all damage would be to them.

In the endless space, Jeremy felt the chaotic energy trying to erode his body. His body, though, was too strong; it was able to resist.

He set his sight to other shining 'stars' and started moving toward them.

...

Rachel watched all of this and nodded.

She didn't get that much data from this one experiment, but she could devise a perfect strategy after thousands, millions of experiments.

As for what happens after this, a rank 12 member of Magical would probably come and capture Jeremy.

Fall of a rank 11 world for no reason like this is worthy of the attention of a rank 12 mage.

The power she gave Jeremy is near the peak of rank 11. can a rank 11 defeat a rank 12? Absolutely not!

So, she snapped her fingers.

Jeremy was teleported to her headquarters unconscious. It's better not to allow them to research on transmigrators. And Jeremy still has some combat power; it's better not to waste it.

Chapter 87: Grandmaster of Illusions

Zagronan finally finished the illusion world after what felt like trillions of years, but according to Rachel, it was only 10,000 years.

He discovered the root flaw in the world in the black dragon scene.

A group of explorers has invaded the Illusion world in the past; they became its core flaw.

But for Zagronan, it didn't make sense.

The Illusion world was already there when explorers invaded it, so what was its core flaw before the explorers attacked? Did the core flaw change?

According to Rachel, the core flaw cannot change.

So, how was the world there already before explorers invaded? An illusion world is founded on its core flaw, so how did explorers discover it? The core flaw cannot change, so the illusion world wasn't even there before the explorers' attack. It doesn't make sense.

And, because it doesn't make sense, it is exactly the core flaw.

Illusion worlds are dreams of the universe; like all dreams, they don't make sense.

While knowing this flaw, Zagronan realized something fundamental about illusions: they aren't supposed to make sense.

The illusion existed before it was supposed to? In fact, it's the opposite; the world is an illusion; it never existed in this reality.

There is a flaw, but there isn't really.

As Zagronan discovered the core flaw, the illusion world disappeared.

Or rather, it was never there.

The only thing that remained was Illosion's concept of Grandmaster for him.

His time spent was absolutely worth it; he managed to attain Grandmaster mastery of the concept of illusion.

Grandmaster mastery is the same as that of most immortals. Only geniuses, or in Zagronan's case, only those with resources, can accomplish such a feat.

What's more, the concept of illusion is a fringe concept very difficult to get. There are very few under rank 12 who have it.

With mastery in the concept of illusion, he already has many planes.

He used to focus on the concept of wisdom, but his mastery was not even at the master level.

He is not talented when it comes to his brain.

Now, with the Grandmaster of illusion, he can think of all kinds of spells and methods of illusion with a mere thought. He doesn't need to rack his brain; he can intuitively realize almost everything about illusions.

Moreover, he has a thought, an idea about a complete law called 'fake wisdom.'

The complete law of 'fake wisdom' can twist true wisdom into illusions. It's very complex and hard to defend against. He planned to create it as his complete law to reach rank 10.

It's just that Rachel informed him that she already knows of this complete law.

So, helplessly, he continued to research.

He thought of complete laws such as 'illusion into reality,' 'illusion numbers,' 'undetectable,' 'obvious,' etc. Rachel already knew every one of them.

He has to find a new complete law for Rachel to allow him to advance.

The only way is if he gets more specific; these general complete laws are already discovered.

So he did.

He thought of illusion numbers. He found the main formula for 'illusion-7,' 'illusion-563,' 'illusion-66631495,' and one hundred more number illusions, but all were already known by Rachel.

Even if they were not, illusion numbers were weak, so he wasn't sure he wanted them.

After a few decades of hard work, he finally found a good complete law that Rachel didn't know.

He called it the 'illusion slaughter of 7 demons.'

This complete law is good. It can significantly help in battles against demons and is useful against other species, too.

With good spells and formations, it's not much weaker than famous illusion complete laws like 'illusion strike.'

Of course, 'illusion slaughter of 7 demons' is specific, so against groups of 7 demons, it's more powerful than 'illusion strike,' but against any other thing or creature, it's weaker.

However, Zagronan was satisfied. He decided to create this complete law.

He discovered the formula's main materials and most complimentary parts. The rest will have to be discovered while he is breaking through.

Not all are lucky to have the formula ready and someone who paved the path. He can only be prepared for everything and try to do it.

When rank 9 is trying to break through to rank 10, the universal laws of the universe help; with those helps and his Grandmaster illusion mastery, he believes he can fill any gaps on the spot.

If not, he still has Rachel to help. Rachel can create pills that help him survive even if he fails. Failure is not unexpected when trying to explore unknown paths.

With all of this done, Rachel finally allowed him to return.

...

Lana's luck was as great as ever. Demon kings still didn't dare to rebel and obediently remained. Being with her had some benefits. Rachel had already given one of her incarnations to each, so they were consuming pills and getting stronger.

Lana herself also had a Rachel.

After so many years of Zagronan's absence, she remained loyal to him and refrained from being with any other ... no, just kidding. In the first week of his absence, she had already started sleeping with other male demons.

Now, after so many years, she has many children with all kinds of males from all species and races; she even has some children from trees! She kept those 'rare' tree children and ate other 'regular' children.

Rachel's incarnation with Lana was so shocked by tree children that she informed Rachel #1 to record it in the database!

As for what happened to Zagronan? Lana didn't give a damn.

She was a true demon not capable of love. The only reason she remained with Zagronan was for benefits and nothing more.

...

Lana was in bed with the demon kings around, fanning her with luxurious fur fans. She loves being hot, so those fans are a decoration she learned from humans, a show of status.

As for whether she felt any shame with so many present while engaging with a male human in a critical affair, of course not; even many humans don't have much shame for that, let alone Lana.

Just as the human male, who was so muscular and tall that he was nearly as the giant Lana, was about to finish, the door was kicked open, and Zagronan came in.

Lana paid no heed and continued shamelessly.

Zagronan snapped his fingers. The human male melted into a red liquid.

"You did it again? I told you last time to let him finish!" She shouted angrily.

"Don't worry, I will finish it for you!" Zagronan smiled kindly.

He truly loves Lana. She is treacherous, evil, incapable of love and compassion, shameless, disloyal, etc.

She has every evil trait out there, and Zagronan loves it!

Nowadays, he gets very emotional about what Hell used to be. While solving the illusion world, he thought about Hell every day. Now, Hell is gone, but not all of it. Zagronan looked at Lana as he was busy. Indeed, she is the worst Hell can offer, the lowest and most corrupt. With her here, he won't miss Hell much.

...

Zagronan came out after an entire week.

"Well, I'm finally back!" he stretched comfortably.

"Nothing is like home!" he sat down and looked at the sky.

"Zag, it's time to start!" Rachel said.

"No, please, let me enjoy a little," he said.

Rachel reluctantly nodded. The mental condition is critical, too, so if resting a while can make his mind clear, she is willing to give it to him.

"Then, do things you enjoy, and clear your mind," she said.

"Things I enjoy? I enjoy sharpening my edge! Let's destroy a few continents!" he stood up.

"Zag, do you enjoy anything besides slaughter?" she asked.

"Like what?" he asked.

"Like fishing, as you did before!" she said.

"I used to enjoy fishing, but I can easily catch anything nowadays. With my luck, fishing is no longer fun," he said. With the luck of the main protagonist, he can fish out of a desert.

"What else? Anything you enjoy? Something peaceful, so no war or massacre counted," she said.

"Let me see, I do enjoy sex," he said.

"Something peaceful! Your sex with Lana is anything but peaceful!" she retorted.

"I don't know! I don't think I have anything I enjoy besides those! Even my meditation is out of a desire to survive, not because I enjoy it," she said.

"Have you tried reading a book?" she asked.

"Don't talk about it! As it is, I'm losing my edges; if I read books, I soon get completely blunted," Zagronan replied.

Rachel sighed and said, "Just go destroy the Red River continent."

She gave up on persuading him to engage in more peaceful activities. It's simply not in Zagronan's brain circuit.

He smiled and started flying.

...

The Red River continent was split in half by a great red river that ran horizontally from one side to the other. The continent was magnificent, with most areas being peaceful and prosperous.

...

A bird was singing in a beautiful forest. The sound of water calmed Liz's soul as she lay there and enjoyed the scene.

She was a knight attendance, working for a baron. Still, as a female knight attendance, they took it easier on her, so she had the time to rest like this.

Allowing women to become knights was a fierce debate. And among those who advocated for allowing women to be knights, the treatment was a big debate.

Some argue that women need special care because their physique is different. Others argued that treating women better and letting them have more days off would discourage nobles from accepting women knights. They would just replace women knights with men knights who don't need special treatment.

There were other debates, too, like, should the government mandate paid leave for new mothers? The argument was the same, with some saying yes and others saying it discourages employers from hiring women at all.

The fact that the country debated these issues showed how good they had it. Food and necessities are the issues in crisis-ridden countries, but in rich countries, these relatively minor problems get debated hotly.

Just as she was thinking of these, she saw the sun falling!

"Bang!"

she heard it, and then everything went black.

...

"Fireball," Zagronan cast.

It was like the sun from afar, so bright that it even outshone the actual sun.

It hit a city and destroyed everything within.

Zagronan laughed.

He felt his edges sharpening! After so many years of killing illusions, his edges were as blunt as a brick! Now, they are being polished, becoming like razors.

He continued his destruction until the whole continent, which used to be a tourist destination for wealthy mages, turned into a piece of coal!

Zagronan looked from above and sighed with relief. "I think my mind is finally at peace!" he said.

"Are you ready for advance?" Rachel asked.

"Not yet! Let's do another continent!" he said.

"Another? Sigh! This time, go to Green Circle continent," she said.

She didn't argue over a mortal continent.

She doesn't like to kill for nothing, but in her view, this is not for nothing. It is for the peace of mind of her host, Zagronan.

Zagronan's success in the complete law of illusions will help the main body! She is willing to kill the entire world if it helps the main body.

As for the innocent people, she honestly doesn't care. She can pretend to care, but really, she has no feelings toward them. It might be her system, or the main body did something, or after so many years, she got numb. The fact is she doesn't care.

She will personally avoid what she considers needless slaughter and even help if it's effortless, but otherwise, she does not give a damn about innocent deaths.
