Purpose

Horado felt himself enter a dream like state or to be more precise there was no sense of direction nor can he feel anything, it only felt as if everything was void around him.

Horado tried opening his eyes but found out that he couldn't, he tried again and again until it finally bulged open as if he was awoken by a nightmare which made the scorching sun greet his seemingly tired eyes as well as the feeling of weakness and hunger overcome his body.

"Ugh... Hun-... -gry..." Horado desperately voiced out yet it was extremely hard and painful for him to do so, as well as hearing his now hoarse voice.

Horado got an impulse to bite his own flesh and drink his own blood, of course he didn't want to do it but soon he lost to the hunger and thirst. His own meat and blood tasted extremely weird for him as they tasted and felt as if he was eating dried jerky with some clotted blood, it was tasty yet disgusting.

Feeling his body starting to get energy he immediately dashed forward through the scorching hot desert. The feeling of the scorching sun burning him from the outside then the feeling of being boiled from the inside isn't fun nor pleasant to say the least.

He continued running towards the direction where his instincts told him to go until he blacked out once again.

Horado opened his eyes in a hurry as if he had woken up due to a nightmare. Once he did he saw two light blue eyes staring straight at him which made him jolt backwards but it only made him hit the wall of the culture vat and ricochet towards Aisha. Horado hugged her unconciously which stopped Aisha from hitting the wall yet it made his arms take the brunt of it.

He opened his eyes and looked down only to see what most boys would want to see so he decided to only look straight at Aisha's light blue eyes which were gently staring at him with curiosity, Horado didn't know whether he should laught it off or be embarrassed so he chose to have a serious expression. Aisha closed her eyes once again which confused Horado.

[Master please don't move around, your incredibly strong so you might break some of Aisha-279's bones if you move recklessly] The AI casually said as it seemed to be busy doing something.

"Hey, did you notice her opening her eyes?" Horado asked which confused the AI.

[What do you mean, Master? Aisha-279 haven't moved the slightest] The AI was clearly confused.

"Huh? if that is true then let me guess her eye color, if I am right the first time then you might have missed it, I am certain that she has light blue eyes" Horado said with seriousness which surprised the AI as he was right. Of course it knew that there is the possibility that Horado was just lucky but the world who is currently still in an apocalypse is vastly different than the world in Horado's memories as this world is much more akin to an animé world where natural pink eyes and hair can be rather common.

[I will look into it, Master] The AI said then continued to do something yet Horado could feel that he was only taken half serious by the AI yet he didn't complain.

Truth be told he hoped that the AI would willingly pick a fight with him so that he could take his mind off of the pleasant sensation he was feeling right now but his hopes were crushed once the AI didn't even take him seriously.

Horado closed his eyes once again, this time it was for his future actions as well as thinking of whether he should go to a human settlement or not. He started weighing the pros and the cons but all of it became cons since nobody knows human nature better than him as his eyes glowed a fiery red.

'There may be good natured people in those settlements but that would only be on the surface as the truly good natured ones would have died a long time ago' Horado thought since it was clearly evident that the apocalypse or incident that had happened didn't start a day or two, weeks, or months but at least a few years or a couple of years before he awoke.

"It's a dog eat Dog world out there... I really don't want for her to wake up in this kind of world..." Horado silently muttered yet he knew that if Aisha doesn't wake up in a week at most then she would be deemed a failure and would be ejected prematurely. Although he has a hunch that she likes taking baths so much that she is pretending to sleep.

"No use mopping around here, let's go to a human controlled area!!" Horado excitedly said as he started to store everything he took out of the storage.

"Do you even know what direction it is or if it even exist?" The A.I. poured down cold water on Horado's blazing flame of excitement.

"Putting aside the direction I am certain that a human settlement exists somewhere" Horado said in a serious tone which the A.I. took note off.

"Oh? How can you say that for certain, Master?" The A.I. was intrigued by what Horado would say.

"Humans are a tenacious and vengeful species miss killing some of them then in a couple of years or even just days expect a counter" Horado seems to be speaking from experience as his eyes also strangely sharpened at that thought.

"Says the one who only became conscious one to two days ago" The A.I. mocked his so called Master.

"Yes that's right I have only gained consciousness for a day or two but that doesn't mean I am ignorant besides I know far more of human nature more than anyone" Horado spoke as if he himself got to experience but as far as the A.I. was able to read his mind there were no such incidents.

'Is he able to control which memories I would be able to read?' The A.I. wondered with interest.

"Ah? so you're thinking about how I know about the ugly side of human nature even though so far you haven't read anything of the sort, well I want Aisha to only see the beauty of it for now and I'll try my best to keep it that way" Horado said with a smile yet in that smile there was loneliness, sadness, and regret but there was a firm resolution behind it all while Aisha who is sleeping rather supposed to be sleeping became concerned for Horado. Although she is awake she cannot speak nor can she move for a long time as if she did she felt as if her body would shatter like fragile glass, it wasn't a pleasant feeling.

Aisha wished she could go out of her culture vat right at this moment even if it meant her death but she wondered what he would do if he concluded that he was the cause of her death? she knows yet at the same time doesn't and she didn't want to find out, she was scared, scared of what he would do the very moment she disappeared. She who is his pillar of support that much she knows that's why it is better to stay and get stronger until the day finally arrives.
