She's changed

Meanwhile, back at the training base, Tim appeared at the entrance and saw Leo sitting on a bench. His head snapped towards his direction the entrance direction and their gaze locked.

"How can you be so careless?" Tim asked as he made his way to seat beside Leo. 

"I didn't mean to." Leo replied.

"So what's going on between you and her, are you interested in her?" Tim asked. 

"My relationship with her is clearly business, I need her help and she's getting paid for helping, that's all," Leo replied flatly. 

Tim smiled at his reply, as Leo didn't deny that he's not interested in her, but only explained their present relationship. 

"Then why do you keep sending Mick to stop me from getting too close?'' He asked again.

Leo did not have a change in his expression, he's not surprised that Tim knew, as he's is not as ordinary as he seem anyway. He's always a step ahead in most cases. Him and Ella were his weak point in the business world, as only both of them could deal with him.

"I don't want you scaring her away, she's very difficult to deal with and it's not easy to confuse her to help me. I don't have interest in her in the way you are thinking, so good luck." Leo speak his mind.

It will be a lie if he said he's interested in her because they just met. She's troublesome, yes! but that doesn't mean he has fallen. He's not that crazy.

He has assumed all this after he stopped watching them talk in the living room, to take his mind off it.

"So you don't mind me going after her?" Tim asked to confirm, it's rare to see Leo interested in a woman. Except Sharon and Ella, no woman has been so close to him as Clara is, so he would be willing to back down if Leo was really interested in her.

"I don't mind, just don't scare her away." Leo said.

"Good, but tell me dude, where did you come across such beauty, I will be willing to spend the rest of my life pursuing her you know." Tim said excitedly.

Leo rolled his eyes at him, 'now he's back to his old self,' he thought.

Time went by quickly as it is only a week left before the press conference. During the past two weeks, Clara has become a changed person, she return Leo's card to him and became calm, focused on her hunt for the demons, and carried out Leo's request in a professional manner.

Even though it's normal the way Clara is acting now, Leo felt like he's being ignored. Anytime he tried to strike a conversation with her, she will excuse herself once it's not work related matters and left.

Meanwhile, Tim kept trying his luck with her as well, and the result remains the same, but the more she rejects him, the more his interest in being piqued. 

Normally he would back out when the woman is playing hard to get, and go for a more attractive one, but in Clara's case, he just couldn't find anyone more attractive than her. It gets to a certain point where, even when he's making out with other girls, his mind was always with Clara.

The following week.

At Leo's company. Inside a meeting room, the previous staff he order to recruit new members were present, along with Leo secretary, Mike.

Leo finally spoke up, "you guys have done well." 

Immediately he said the sentence, all of them look at each other with a smile on their faces, then suddenly Leo secretary walk up to them with a large size envelope in his hand and began bringing out another envelope In a smaller size, placing In front of them each, then stepped back.

They all look at each other with a confused expression. 

"That is your last salary in this company, you all don't have to report to work henceforth. The new members you scout will be replacing you, if you have any objections or complaint, discuss with Mike." 

Leo said and walked out, leaving the shocked staff and Mike behind. 

He would have just said, you are fired like he used to, but ever since his and Clara's incident, he finds it difficult to utter the statement without feeling bad.
