A New Dawn

The sun has risen from the horizon in city A. The warm and cool breeze caressed the faces of the people who were now on the busy road, opening their shops, even people walking on the road, especially those going to their working places and schools.

Cars could be seen moving on the road from different directions carrying and sending people to their work places too.

Inside a small apartment the sound of alarm could be heard, but it was stopped by a petite hand with a groan of frustration"keep it down already, Urgh" , a frustrated groan could be heard from Miriam as sh stood up from the bed and headed towards the bathroom.

she stood at the front of the mirror looking at herself after washing her face and brushing her teeth. A deep long sigh could be heard in the quiet bathroom. before "bang bang bang," the sound of the bathroom door being banged by Lorita was heard " hey common aren't you done yet, I need to take a bath is I'm late for work" her best friend shouted from outside the door.

Miriam could imagine her friend dancing and bouncing out of fright that she would be late for her job today.

A faint chuckle could be heard from inside the bathroom. " hey why don't you go back to sleep I thought today you weren't going to work. she said teasing Lorita more." Aaah Miriam if I should get fired today, I will kill you " she said pouting. A loud hearty laugh was heard from Miriam as she was coming out from the bathroom door. " Hey what's up with the rush today, is there something else happening in the company then the usual work you normally do?" Miriam asked with a furrowed brows, cause could remember the last time she saw her friend being this worked up for work.

Lorita walked straight inside the bathroom as soon as her friend was out, Miriam got no reply as her friend was already inside the bathroom. She sighed before moving straight to the kitchen to make breakfast for both of them.

Few minutes later Lorita was out in a haste to grab a bite cause she knew her friend was already done cooking. She took a seat as Miriam served her breakfast. She ate silently but in a haste"why don't you take it easy before you kill yourself " Miriam said smiling gently at her friend as she kept a cup of water for her on the dinning table.

Lorita swallowed the food in her mouth as she looked at her friend with different emotions in her eyes. " I will have to go now I think we will talk when I have a chance" with that she went out of the dinning room heading towards the door. "wait" she said but her friend was already outside. Sighed deeply before returning to the dinning table . She drew a seat out before sitting down to eat.

' what is wrong with Lorita' she mumbled before eating her breakfast.

"Well every new day brings a new change in people" she said as she continued eating alone.
