Travis - The Invisible Man

Six hours later, I and Jacob left the school and we are heading to our hideout because that is the thing I am doing every day after school, I am heading to the abandoned library and stays there to train my werewolf fighting moves, body and goes to missions. Travis didn't come to school because, even though he is in a costume of a teenager, that teenager skin is one of the victims of Killer Mike who got killed last night which is very disturbing for the ones who knows about the incident, but luckily, nobody knows what happened last night to poor Mihai and his accident on Aref because it was night and nobody goes on Aref streets on the night because of bears and wolfs who are searching for food because the winter is coming and they need food for hibernation.

While I and Jacob were traveling to our destination, Jacob, who was floated on my left side and has decided to give a question even though we are in public and seeing a girl speaking alone wouldn't be a good sign.

"Have you realized we have started to get many more missions recently?"

"What do you mean by that?" I asked Jacob while I put my earphones on because of making the people around me I am speaking with somebody on phone.

"Think about it. What does a slime is doing in an area like that when the autumn has started?"

"Maybe he wanted to see human behavior in autumn?"

"What do you say there?"

"You know... Humans react differently when at certain times of the year. Others become happy when their favorite season appears, others become depressed when a season they hate occurs. For example, I like spring, a season of a rebirth of nature and joy."

"Oh. I see... What season are you hating?"

"Hm... That would be winter because I don't really like cold times and snow and I prefer to stay home the entire winter, but school and work will not let me do that."

"So why is our fault?"

"I got a choice back then, remember?"

"Yeah, yeah. You right."

After a few minutes of walking, we have arrived at the abandoned building and there we have ringed the bell to announce to Alexandra we have arrived and we are ready to start another day at our workplace. But when we have entered the building, me and Jacob we go to the living room, the room where our team is staying there and discuss something joyful, play some card games or drink Travis drinks which are much better than the ones of an expert in fifteen years in bartending.

When we have entered the living room, there was just Travis, sitting on the sofa, wearing his human skin he is always wearing when he gets back from his jobs and stays at the base because he is invisible, and looking at an invisible person can be pretty awkward, terrifying and weird. Travis waved to us.

"How was the day?"

"Average." says Jacob floating to the sofa who is on the left of the couch where Travis is and falls there.

"It was nice. Until the tests have come." says Lydia sitting on the second sofa who is located on the right of the couch Travis is sitting.

"How come?"

"Well... I got a pretty bad mark in Mathematics. Five-point twenty-five."

"That doesn't sound bad." says Travis to Lydian which makes her more upsets, and Travis observed the mistake he has done and he is trying to fix it "Trust me on this one. The grades are not important in life. Those are just some numbers and all which don't have any value, just if you wanted to gain a big job at a big company. But... What career you want to follow?"

"I want to work in Police service." says Lydia.

"... Should I tell you?" asks Travis after a few seconds of awkward silence.

"Tell what?"

"The fact that you are working for a better justice system than those fat cops who can't even run fifty meters without sweating like a pig. Anyway, you wanted to know how I caught that killer?"

"Okay." says Lydia.

"Let me guess. You have used invisibility?" asks Jacob looking at Travis.

"Somehow... Anyway, my story of capturing that murderer began last night when I was sent to capture him because these are Hengar's orders and his orders should not be overlooked as absurd orders. I was driving the truck on the road to Oești, I had to "transport" almost twelve tons of oranges to a supermarket in Râmicu Vâlcea. I could have reached my destination faster if I had taken it through the city, but I decided to take that route. When we reached a curve, we noticed a clown in a meadow running. That clown was a few hundred yards away, and I can tell he looked like a clown because he was dark and his colorful clothes could be seen. I had two options, I could stop the truck, get off and chase that clown, but that would have left me speechless and risked that clown disappearing and continuing to kill the innocent people... And the second choice was to go with the truck there and try to run over that creepy clown. But I had a third choice, I have decided to stage a truck accident. I jumped out of that truck as fast as I could, and when I jumped I landed on the pothole of that road that is younger than Alexandra. When I got out of the vehicle, I threw my clothes and faux leather into a cornfield that had never been inspected and went after that clown in invisible form."

"So you captured him in invisible form."

"Not exactly. When I have arrived there, the clown was already killed, but not me. I found there a knife who was piercing the clown eyes and that knife did quite good damage to the killer, but it was useless because the knife didn't touch the killer's brain, he just makes the killer with just one functional eye. And I have also seen the body of Mihai. And to be honest, it was disturbing. This boy's chest has been completely cut off, something like a hen has when she is attacked by a fox or a ferret, it only attacks her stomach or leaves her head only in most cases. I investigated that boy's body and found that he was missing a lot of hurricanes, apart from the pancreas and liver, which are now useless for a corpse but useful for a person who urgently needs a liver or pancreas.

"Gross." I say to Travis. "I feel sorry for the family and the boy."

"Yeah... That is the sad part about living. If you die, you die. There is no spell or a magic trick to make a body regain his lost soul, this thing always happened in fictional stories, folklore, movies, or shows who doesn't even represent the fantasy or science fiction at all... Later, I discover Mihai's intestines, and they were about to become a doll made of human organs that would have been hung somewhere in that monster's house and used as toys..." he makes a weird sign with his right move. You know what I'm talking about. "

"Oh... Don't tell he used to..."

"Lay his human milk?" asks Jacob.

"Oh. dear... And where is that killer?"

"Right now... We have thrown him into Mercury. He is probably already decomposed or eaten by Mercury monsters. Anyway, the Mihai parents have found out they're son has died by they didn't found about their organs, because I have tried to put them at their places, which worked perfectly good, but his hole at the chest couldn't be repaired so I just had to put his shirt there and some branches there to looks like this boy got hit by some legs and got cut in something sharp. And after that, I had to make a final move to that clown, so I took the knife who was probably the one Mihai has used, and use it to do a final blown. I used the knife... and I cut the clown a portion of his throat and after that, I used the knife again, but this time I stuck in the right side of my head and could feel the blade of this knife touch the brain of that killer. Then, noticing that he was no longer breathing, I picked up the phone and contacted Hengar about the mission I had, I told him that the mission was a success, he sent Alexandra to come and take that clown corpse and transport it to jail or a planet, but most likely dumped it in a cell until they were ordered to throw it on another planet."

"And how did you get Mihai skin?"

"Simple... I just had to touch his corpse and I am transforming automatically into him."

"It really is that easy?"

"Yeah, but it works just on human corpses. And yeah, the police arrived there and found Mihai, they send the sad report to their parents and I was walking from that area and there you saw me, waiting at the bus station."

"Alright. Good job on that hunting." I say to Travis while he takes a slurp of his drink.

"It was nothing, Lydia."
