Bitten

At the end of the hallway was a small room that serves as a storage for cleaning items, a man was kicking a guy curled up in the ground. He was not wearing anything on top so the bruises and wounds around his body could be seen as well as the fresh blood that covers his body and the dried up ones that sticks in his skin.

Bam!

Bam!

Two more kicks on the head before the man stopped kicking.

"Why are you not making sound anymore?" the man said and spit on the guy on the ground.

He turned to the other guy sitting on the floor and directly kicked him in the chest making the guy spat blood. His left eye was closed and blood was coming out from it. His condition was almost the same as the first guy.

"This is getting boring. You guys are getting boring." the man sneered and left the room with bloodied hands.

After the man left, the two guys moved themselves and sat on the floor while leaning on the wall.

"He's very pissed off today." one of the guys said as he tried to wipe the blood from his face.

"Maybe he's having diarrhea." the man with wounded eye jokes.

"Are you alright?"

"Huh? Of course not. The bitch stabbed me in the eye. It hurts like hell. Damn it. Now I only have one eye. I should get an eyepatch later and wear a pirate costume." the man said as he touched his face.

The guys laughed for a moment before going silent.

"I hope Miles is fine."

"Yeah, he should be fine. I just hope that he won't come to this place 'cause he will surely meet the same fate as us." the one eyed man said.

The other one sighed.

"If only we're stronger. Status window."

"Man, I don't know about the others but I feel like I'm tearing up whenever I see or remember how this panel looks." Samuel said with sadness that conveyed from his almost red eyes.

"Yeah, and I hate it so much." David's only eye teared up.

"I'm not aiming to be the strongest. I just want the strength to get out of here and rip that Dwaine apart." Samuel said with rage burning in his eyes.

"If someone will save us. That will be good too." David coughed blood.

"The people here are afraid of Hans so we can't rely on them. If we want to get out, we can only count on ourselves…but looking at us, that is almost impossible." Samuel smiled bitterly with tears in his eyes.

"Hey, don't cry. What would Miles say if he sees you crying?" David said.

"You're also crying you stupid." Samuel responded.

Groooowl

"Ahh..damn, I'm hungry." David complained.

Both of them closed their eyes and tried to rest their wounded bodies.

It was the only time they could have a little peace to themselves.

However, before they could even take a nap, the sound of fighting came from the outside.

It lasted for a minute and there were people screaming and smashing things.

A few seconds after the silence, their door opened and a familiar face entered their eyes.

"Guys…"

"Miles…"

A few minutes ago.

Miles glared at Dwaine the moment they met.

"Man, you look good." Dwaine said while checking Miles from head to toe. "You're alive and not half dead, that's why I said you look good," he added.

Ricky then interrupted. "This guy said his name is Danny."

"Oh?" Dwaine raised his brow then laughed. "Man, you're telling a false identity? Well, I think that's normal and a good thing to do." Dwaine said and turned to Ricky. "It's fine. Whatever name he gives, he's still a boy."

Dwaine chuckled.

Meanwhile, Mile was just staring at him. He still remembers that first night he arrived at Brightville city. He got into a street fight for the first time in his life.

Thankfully, they got to the dorm safely that day.

However, the following weeks brought the four of them a lot of stress.

It was because Dwaine and his friends also go to Brightville University but in a different department. They met and Dwaine began threatening them that they should be careful when they got out of the campus.

Although Dwaine could not do anything to them inside the campus because fighting in the university could result in suspension and expulsion, that could not be said outside the campus.

At first, they didn't take it seriously but after Jason left the campus, he was beaten up by unknown people that came out of nowhere and disappeared in an instant.

From then on, they became more careful and didn't leave the campus carelessly and stayed inside the dorm.

The tension only died down after a month or so.

Still they could not forget what happened and were all annoyed and angry every time they saw Dwaine and his friends, even from afar.

Miles could not believe that he would meet the asshole here.

And was not a fool and did not realize what he just saw.

He clenched his fist and ignored Dwaine, rushing to the room where he just came out.

However, Dwaine also moved and blocked his path.

"Yo, where are you going?" he asked with a teasing smile. "Are you searching for some people? Is it your friends? I know where they are. The three of us became so close the last few days."

His smile turned to grin, openly mocking Miles in his face.

Miles' eyes went sharp and glared at Dwaine.

Instead of being scared, Dwaine just sneered.

"What? You gonna do something? Huh?"

Then he opened his arms and smirked.

"Come on, show me what you can do."

Miles creased his brows and rushed towards Dwaine, ready to tear the guy's head apart.

However, a force suddenly enveloped his body and stopped him from moving.

'What is this? A stun?'

He became angrier as he realized that he fell on Dwaine's taunts.

'You used a stun skill on me but wait until it ends. I will surely kill you!'

Miles shouted inside and outside, his eyes were burning with rage.

"Hoho. Those eyes…scary~" Dwaine taunted more and placed his palm on top of Miles' head.

His expression turned to disdain. "I don't like it."

At that moment, a huge pain engulfed Miles' body, like his muscles were being torn apart continuously and to fight the pain, he could only grit his teeth.

'Damn! Damn!'

While still unable to move and having excruciating pain, his nose, eyes, ears and mouth began to bleed.

Blood flowed through his skin and it dropped to the floor.

Ricky was there, just staring at what's happening, just like everyone else.

The pain only lasted for five seconds, but it was like an hour for Miles.

He fell on fours and began coughing blood. At the end of the hell he just felt, his body became numb from pain that he didn't notice Dwaine stabbing his left arm with a knife.

"Hmm..you're no fun. You can't even stand after that." Dwaine sneered then turned to Ricky. "Get his backpack. Let's see what this dog got."

Ricky nodded calmly and walked to Miles and the helpless Miles could only let him take his bag without any resistance.

Dwaine lowered his body and lifted Miles' head by pulling his hair.

"How do you like my skills? I'm an enchanter but I have a good set of skills, right?"

"This is thanks to Hans. If not for him being a close friend of my brother then he won't help me as much as he does. But damn, those zombies are really scary. They're weak yet they can kill that many people. I can't believe you didn't die the first day."

Dwaine continues to mock Miles.

Meanwhile, Ricky was shocked as he checked the content of Miles' bag.

"This man is loaded with good shit." he said with a smile.

"Really?" Dwaine threw Miles' head away and walked to look at the bag.

Then, he too was shocked.

While laughing, he patted Miles on the back.

"Thank you for bringing these items to us. It's all ours now." he then turned to Ricky. "Call Hans. He will be happy to-"

However, a hand suddenly grabbed his arm tightly before a huge force pulled him close to someone.

Dwaine was shocked and tried to quickly get away.

But Miles never intended to let him go even if it cost him an arm.

With his other hand, he took hold of Dwaine's blonde hair and pulled him stronger.

His mouth opened and approached Dwaine's neck.

"Shit!" Dwaine panicked, still trying to escape from Miles' grasp.

"No!" Ricky let go of the bag and rushed to save Dwaine, however, it happened too quickly and he was late.

Pushik.

A single bite from Miles tore apart Dwaine's neck.

Blood squirted from the ripped neck as the bones and esophagus could clearly be seen.

Dwaine fell on his knees but Miles didn't let him go and as he stood up…

Ptui

...he spat the flesh he had bitten and looked down on the convulsing Dwaine.

His eyes were emotionless and it was so different from the fear stricken eyes of the dying blonde man.

"..you.." Dwaine muttered in a very hoarse voice.

Miles stilted his eyes and saw Ricky's feet approaching him.

Boom.

He was thrown away by the kick and he let go of Dwaine's arm.

However, it didn't matter anymore.

"No, no, no, no." Ricky said in panic as he held up Dwaine's lifeless body.

He took a health potion from his pocket and fed it to Dwaine's mouth.

But nothing would happen because he was already dead.

"Fuck.." Ricky muttered as he put Dwaine's body to the floor.

He turned and glared at the standing Miles. "You're dead, Miles. Dwaine is nurtured by the boss and is close to him. He will kill me for not being able to protect him so in order to have a chance of survival, I need to kill you."

Miles wiped the blood on his mouth and his face.

"Does it matter? You're gonna kill me anyways."

He then spat the blood of Dwaine.

"What a disgusting blood. Well, it should be natural coming from a disgusting person."

His points increased by 75 points for killing Dwaine but he was not happy about it.

That, however, does not mean he was not satisfied with what he has done.

'Dogshit.' he thought as he looked at the dead body.

Miles rushed towards Ricky but passed by him.

He grabbed his bag and gulped a few health potions while Ricky began to chase after him.

After tugging a few health potions, he set the bag aside and engaged Ricky head on with his body still having the lingering pain from the spell Dwaine casted on him.

But that won't stop him even now.

He clenched both of his fists tight.

'Fist Canon!'

Boom!

Ricky's Body flew and crashed into the wall.

His torso was at a strange angle and bones were sticking out of his body.

People from the rooms, walked out to see what was happening and began screaming after witnessing the dead bodies of two prominent figures in the group. They scrambled to leave the building.

Miles ignored them and took his backpack before rushing into the door at the end of the hallway.
