Zhou Li went to the old woman who was sitting on a chair in front of her house knitting a sweater. She murmured something and sighed. She looked a bit sad like she had thought of some bad memories.

"Grandma, you seem troubled with something, can I help you"

"Young man, its nothing, I am fine"

"Please tell me about it, I will accomplish it"

"If you insist, young man"

"My husband had adventures into the mountains a few years ago and I don't what had happened to him"

"I have sent numerous adventures on expeditions to search for him"

"But they had never found him"

"I won't ask for much"

"It doesn't matter if you accomplish it or not"

"But if you find a ring the same as this one"

She said as she showed the ring on her forefinger.

"If there is still a corpse, please bring it to me"

"If not, just bringing the ring is enough"

"Is this the ring you are looking for grandma"

Asked Zhou Li as he took out a similar ring from his inventory.

"Yes, yes it's that ring" her voice was shaking as she said it

"And the corpse"

"There was none"

She closed her eyes for a moment but opened them soon after.

"Thank you, young man"

"I cannot thank you enough"

"I have nothing much to give you but please take this"

The old woman handed him a leather bag that seemed light and wouldn't carry much.

"Thank you, grandma"

He took the bag which was something he needed for one of his future plans. He looked at his stats and saw that he had leveled again because of the exp from the two bosses. He was now level 5. He arranged his stats and looked at the loot he got from the bosses and the treasury. He had gotten a lot of health and mana potions from the treasury and a few upgrades for his armor. Zhou Li looked at his reputation level.

All of the quests he did till now seemed to paid off and he had reached reputation level 3. He thought that it would take longer but the exp given from all the quests combined made him reach level 3.

Zhou LI now needed an Aoe skill that he could use since he needed it for his next plan. He could just recreate the skills he personally created from his past life but it would take some time for him to create them so he did the things that he would need for his plan but would consume time.

He went to the guard station which consists of twenty people though 8 of them were old men who were veterans that would instruct the newcomers and help them learn. The village defenses were only wooden spikes that would cover the village but not the farms. He went and asked one of the

instructor,

"Sir, can you tell me who is in charge of the defenses of the village"

"You should speak with the village head for that kind of thing"

"Thank you for your time"

Zhou Li went and asked because he didn't know about who was in charge of the defenses. He was late in joining and it was already taken care of in his past life and he didn't want to know of the few details that would not give him benefits so he never researched about it. Zhou Li went to the village head and talked to him about the defenses.

"Village head, I would like to know how to help the village and upgrade its defenses"

"Young adventurer, do you really want to do that"

"It will cost you a lot of money"

"I am sure"

Then a screen appeared which was the things that were available to be upgraded and their costs.

Zhou Li did all of them which costed him about 1 gold and 30 silver. He wanted to cry but no tears would come out. Though he was not a cheapskate who doesn't want to spend any money, he couldn't help but be a bit greedy for this game money since it was still the start of the game and he needed a lot for things he wanted to do.

Zhou Li then went to the tavern and walked into it. Before he walked into it, he could hear loud chatter of people talking but as soon as he walked in all of them looked at him one after another as he was a new person and was not of the village and eying him if he was from another village coming to make trouble.

He went to the bartender and asked for a glass of iced tea as he said

"Boys, do you want money"

The men looked at each other and then one of them said

"Yeah"

Then all the others joined and followed suit.

"If you help the village chief in building the defenses for the village, depending on your contribution, I will give you money ranging from 50 copper coins to 1 silver coin"

Zhou Li put his trigger finger up as he said this. All the men went from being strong and aggressive men to men that would do anything like they would follow him to hell. It was not without reason tho, if it was for the harm of their village, no one would take the money. Not only would they help their village, but they would also even get money for it, they felt that they were dreaming.

"You can all go to the village chief to ask about it"

As he said this, a large group of almost fifty men marched towards the village chief. A silver coin was a lot, it was enough to feed their families for two or three months if they carefully used it.

Zhou left the tavern as well. He went to a quiet and peaceful place where he would try to recreate his personal skills in the game.
