The lights

Knowing how the prince has treated her so far only one thing came to Seraphina's mind and that was to kill him but since he was still an innocent and knew she was just angry, the girl stayed quiet and went back to her new friends whom she found weird but loving at the same time.

"Seraphina are you coming with us?" Jack asked as she stood by his side.

"Where?" she asked.

"To the high bridge, there are the magical lights there every night and tonight it will be the brightest, the sky will light up with all of the different colors" he responded.

'Sure" she responded as he grabbed her by the arm and pulled her with them as they went out of the castle.

The high bridge is direct in the city, the city has three sections the second section gets the best view of it so we will be going to the high bridge intersecting the first and the second, it's big and the river water can be rouge but no matter" Jack said as they walked into the city and he smiled.

"Thanks for bringing me along guys," she said.

'You are welcome" Paisley replied as they bumped into a few kids in the middle of the city and Seraphina smiled as one of the child looked at her with his eyes glowing red and she patted him on the head.

"Here' he said as he took out a small bar of chocolate from his pocket and gave it to her.

'He likes you" Shawn said.

'He sure does, he is cute too" Luke replied and Seraphina smiled then took the chocolate from him.

'Thank you" she said.

'You are welcome" he replied as two little girls with black hair came to her and she smiled.

'What's going on here?" Jack asked.

"Seems like they like her" Paisley said.

'I am so sorry about this, did they fatigue you?" a blonde woman asked as she came to the kids.

'Mom" the little blonde boy that gave her the chocolate said as he grabbed onto the woman.

"They didn't cause any trouble," Seraphina said and she smiled.

'Seems like my boy here likes you" the woman replied and Seraphina sighed.

'Want to watch the lights with us?" she asked and the boy jumped out of his mother's arm and Seraphina grabbed onto him then he smiled and they laughed as he kissed her on the cheek and he saw his fangs then looked at his mother.

'I get why now" she thought as they all went to the bridge and stood up as carriages passed by and everyone was waiting patiently.

"When does it start?" Seraphina asked.

'Right about now" the prince said as he came with his friends and she sighed.

"Whose kid is that?" he asked.

"Hers" she responded and the prince peeked at the mother then smiled.

'I see" he said as a bright beam of blue light shot up in the sky and they all gasped as the sky lit up forming a flower of many different colors and they all smiled.

The colors formed a huge flower in the sky with every different color and it looked absolutely beautiful.

"How many times of the year or month does this happen?" Seraphina asked.

"For every party, so there is no say how many times" the prince responded.

'Thanks" she said as the child kissed her on the cheek and she ruffled his hair then he laughed.

'It feels similar to home, mom, they are not that bad I guess" she said to herself as the lights reflected in her eyes and she smiled.

"The smile looks good on your face" Luke said and her eyes widened then she sighed.

'Thanks" she replied.

"Yeah, you should smile more often" Paisley said.

'She is just too grumpy to do that" the prince said and she looked at him sternly.

"You really are nosy" she replied.

"Nosy.." the little boy in her arms said and she smiled then the prince looked at him sternly and he jumped and Seraphina patted him.

'Why would you scare a child?" she asked and he looked at her sternly then she swallowed nervously as he walked away with his friends.

"I really got on his wrong side huh?" she asked.

'Yeah you definitely did" Paisley responded with a sigh then the girl placed the boy in his mother's arm.

'Your kids are sweet" Seraphina said.

'Thanks, he rarely likes anyone, you must be special in his eyes or it's your beauty" she replied and Seraphina looked at him.

'How old is he?" Seraphina asked.

"6 years, he is growing fast" the woman responded and Seraphina scoffed.

"It's because of his special side, take care of yourselves," Seraphina said.

'You too" the woman replied as the light show finished and the girl left with Paisley and the others heading back to the mansion.

'Who wants ice cream?" Paisley asked.

'Why don't you guys just call it a night" Scarlet asked as she passed by.

'We are not suckers like you" Jack responded and she gasped then looked at him sternly and he winked at her then she turned around without saying anything and left.

'I really do not like your sister" Paisley said and Jack sighed.

'I don't either... wait she is your sister?" Seraphina asked and he laughed.

'Oh I am so sorry I didn't know" she responded.

'It's okay, her attitude is one of the reasons I did not tell you, she is a brat" he said and Serphian sighed.

"Why does she behave like that?" she asked as they went to the ice cream shop.

'I don't know and I don't care enough to ask" he responded and Seraphina patted him on the head as she tip-toed and his eyes widened.

'So what flavor? I am sponsoring tonight" Paisley said and they laughed as Jack kept staring at Seraphina as she talked to Paisley then he sighed and placed his arm around Paisley and she looked at him sternly.

'Chocolate" he said and they all made their orders then sat down and began having their ice cream under the night sky.
