45. First day at work

"Master it is done! Haah~ Haah~"

Freya came running in with a bunch of contracts ready to be signed. Andy was having breakfast in a relaxed manner on the dining table together with Layla and Levi.

Andy prepared new set of clothes for their day schedule, for Layla and Levi it was a luxurious maid outfit and for Freya, a somewhat sexy and formal outfit (shirt and pencil skirt) suitable for a receptionist.

"Slow down Freya, there is no rush. There will barely be any patients coming in today as it is our first day at work. No one trusts a rookie and unknown doctor with their health and lives. Come join us for breakfast, Layla makes even better meals than your servants in Wright mansion."

"T-Thank you master!" Layla blushed and thanked Andy for compliments. Whereas Levi didn't like it as she was one of those servants in Wright mansion, but she didn't complain.

"Yes master, thank you. Layla, can you setup a breakfast plate for me too?" asked Freya.

"Yes sister Freya, coming right away" said Layla and went to kitchen and brought breakfast for Freya.

"So Freya have you sent a message to Wright mansion that you won't be coming back anytime soon?"

"Yes master, I sent it first thing in the morning"

"Good, after looking at couple of patients, I will go back to my home and bring my mother and sister here. You should think about how you are going to apologise to them if you want a place in this mansion." suggested Andy

Freya bit her lips slightly and nodded "Master I will take any punishment your mother and sister decide, and even kowtow to them to apologise but please do not throw me away".

"Haah~ that isn't really my decision. But you shouldn't worry that much, unlike someone they are not that petty."

Freya understood his meaning and simply nodded, then started eating her breakfast.

"Layla this is really delicious, master was right, you are even better at cooking than my servants in Wright mansion" praised Freya

"Fufu thank you sister"

Levi's hand twitched hearing that and spilled some of her food on the table.

"Look Levi what have you done, I just cleaned the table!" scolded Layla

"I-I am sorry mother"

After having a relaxing breakfast, Layla and Levi started the cleaning work. This was a huge mansion and will take them many days before all the room are cleaned.

Andy and Freya moved to the clinic area and started prepping it to open for the first time. There was 2 ways to get inside clinic, one was through the main mansion grounds from where Freya and Andy came and there was another gate so outsiders can directly get into clinic without having to go inside the main mansion ground.

This was done for the security of the main mansion, as basically anyone would be able to get inside the clinic for treatment when Andy disables the defensive formation on clinic's public gate, but they still wouldn't be able to go from clinic to main mansion as it would still have the defensive formation.

This was the main reason why Layla and Levi were not assigned any work in clinic area during clinic open hours, as it won't be safe for commoners here who can't defend themselves.

'Master should have thought more about the safety of clinic. What if some lunatic decides to attack this area during open hours? I guess she didn't really worry about it since she is the strongest person in the country. She probably only need the defensive formation when she is asleep' thought Andy.

"Master you look worried, is everything alright?" asked Freya while looking at Andy with a worried face.

"Yes Freya, just take care of yourself once we disable the defensive formation on clinic's public gate. If any fight broke out just in case, just run towards the mansion. You will be able to pass through the defensive formation but others won't" said Andy

"Yes master, thank you~" Freya was beaming with joy thinking 'Master cares about me!'.

"Alright shall we start taking in patients now? Is everything ready?" asked Andy

"Umm master you never told me about how much will be the consultation fees? And also the price for the health potions?"

"Lets just charge 20 mid-tier mana crystals as the consultation fees for now and use whatever the current market price is for potions".

"Alright master"

"I am going to disable the defensive formation on clinic's public gate now" said Andy as he disabled the formation using the master key and opened the gate.

"W-What the hell is this master?!" asked Freya with shock. There was a long queue in front of the clinic gates, there were at least 100 people.

Andy also looked at the long queue with shock.

"Hello, can I meet headmistress' apprentice, doctor Andy? My baby boy is very sick and his fever is not going down." asked the first person in the queue, a commoner lady who was carrying her little child with teary eyes.

"Ah yes I am Andy, but how do you even know about me?"

"Ah please forgive me for my rudeness earlier master Andy! I didn't knew headmistress' apprentice was so young." said the woman as she bowed, then she continued

"Headmistress announced about an hour ago that she has taken a new apprentice who is even better diagnostician than her. After hearing the announcement I immediately came here."

'What is that master of mine thinking?!' thought Andy

"Yes please come on in. Freya, please handle the paperwork and collect the fees. I will head to the medical examination room, please send in 1 patient at a time" said Andy as he started walking towards medical examination room.

"Umm master Andy?" asked the woman nervously

"Yes?" Andy stopped and looked at her.

"You see... your master said that you will treat commoners free of cost..." said the woman with a slightly red face

'What the hell is that master of mine thinking!?'

Meanwhile on the rooftop of a restaurant nearby a lady was sitting casually and sipping tea. A smile came to her face as she muttered

"You think you can tease me by sending your mana in my body and go unpunished, my dear apprentice?~"
