Entering through the school's imposing gates, Ryan made his way towards his homeroom, garnering a few astonished looks from fellow students along the way. He had changed significantly during his absence, and a few people could still recognise him despite his transformation.
But even those who didn't recognise him couldn't help but have their attention drawn to the radiant youth. His appearance aside, the absolute confidence and calm that he emanated was hard not to notice.
And, after he entered his homeroom class, he approached his homeroom teacher, who appeared quite drained.
"Hello, Mr Smith. I know it's been a while since I've been at school, but I'm back for good now."
The teacher's groggy response was somewhat perplexed. He was slouched so far back in his chair that it was almost horizontal, and a mighty yawn punctuated his question.
"Who are you?"
"Ryan. Ryan Pierce."
