Chapter 37

Waking up Amber walks forward to find some food. Looking over the hill she can see a forest. Upon reaching the forest, a message appears, "You've done a decent job getting here. Next you will have to cross this forest, desert, and then climb the mountain."

Nodding her head she walks into the forest. Taking a few steps into the forest several stones are thrown at her. Rolling to the side, she looks up to see several reddish monsters, that have the appearance of a large monkey with scorpion tails throwing stones at her.

Smiling she jumps up at the creatures. As one goes to strike her with its' tail, she forms a mana naginata, and slashes at the creature. Getting knocked back the creature screams. Falling to the ground she lets the mana naginata dissipate. Grabbing a branch she swings around landing on the top of it.

As these creatures go to throw more stones at her, she brings out a mana naginata and starts to slice the stones in half. Jumping up she goes to slash one of the creatures again. The naginata bounces off of its' tail. Landing on a branch she looks up at them.

'Maybe I should try forming it out of miasma instead. I can form miasma shields after all,' releasing the mana naginata, she forms a new one made out of miasma. As she does so, she is dodging the stones thrown at her.

After finishing the naginata, she jumps towards a creature once again. As it blocks her slash, the naginata manages to slash through the tail. With a loud scream the creature falls back. Looking at its tail squirming around on the ground she smiles.

Looking at the other creatures, her vicious smile causes them to take a step back. Using the naginata in her hands, she slices through the barrage of stones. Appearing in front of them one by one she nocks the tails to the side.

Ducking underneath their punches she stabs thier chests. Jumping down she aims the naginata at the last ones' head. Landing on the chest the naginata goes through its head. Shaking her head, 'I need to find some food and water. Perhaps I can skin these creatures to make some sort of bag.'

Before she starts to skin them, she looks around and sees some vines. Cutting the vines down, she starts to make some sort of thin string. After she finishes doing so, she starts to skin the strange creatures she had just defeated.

After working for several hours she managed to skin and gut the creatures. Within one of them she sees a strange metallic item. This metallic item starts to glow. From the item she can feel mana start to dissipate into the surrounding air.

'I could use these things. These are probably where monstrous looking creatures store their mana cores. I might as well use the mana to create more cores. Would make it easier to form an actual galaxy within each of those cores. Might as well do it now.'

Sitting down she starts to form more mana cores. As she does so the mana from the monster core, quickly runs towards her. Noticing this she starts to try and form more mana cores at once. Failing the first few times, she manages to form more at once.

After just a few minutes she opens her eyes and the monster core has lost all of its luster. Seeing this she shakes her head and starts a fire.

As she cooks some of these creatures, she starts to craft a bag and a pouch for water. As she works at this, a large panther tracked the smell of blood. Looking down at Amber it gets ready to pounce.

Feeling like something is watching her, she looks around. Looking up she sees, the panther. "Oooo a kitty," she smiles at the panther.

'Perhaps I can tame and ride it. Travel would be so much quicker. There will be more training exercises after this one anyway,' finishing the thought, she gets up and jumps at the panther.

Seeing her come towards it, it pounces down at her. Throwing up a mana shield, the panther bangs into it. Forming several under her she jumps around to the back of the panther.

Seeing her jump around, the panther gets scared and goes to jump away. As it does so it bangs into another mana shield. Laughing, "I didn't say you can go."

Hearing this the panther musters up what strength it can to break through the shields of mana. Reaching forward she grabs the panthers' tail. Pulling it towards her, she throws it to the ground. Chasing after it she lands in front of it, "You hungry?"

Ignoring her it tries to get up. "You should have been more cautious lil kitty," she puts a piece of meat in front of it.

Looking at her the panther lowers its head. After petting the panther she gets back to sewing. As the panther eats it growls seeing a giant ten foot moth.

the moth has eyes all over its wings that follow both the panther and Amber's movements. Looking at the moth Amber is disgusted at its drooling mouth.

As she stands up the moth spits its drool at her. As she steps to the side, the drool hits the ground. The ground starts to sizzle as the drool touches it.

Putting up both a mana and miasma shield she charges at the moth. The moth flaps its wings. Feeling the wind she slides underneath the moth. With a quick hop back she avoids the moths' gaze.

Forming a spear she thrusts it right through the moth. Before it can turn around she creates another one and does the same thing to its wing.

As the panther watches Amber take this moth down, it shivers when it realizes that she could have killed it. Lowering its head it continues to eat.

After killing the moth Amber eats. Looking at the panther, "Well then come with me. Don't need to worry about food. Let's call you Dreamra."
