Ch.9 — Banter (Updated)

Reina was furious, she almost punched Alexis in the face. But remembering Alexis was only a 5th tribulation immortal with body cultivation at the 7th treasure realm, she refrained. Reina was a black dragon who had mutated to have 3 hearts, making it so she could have 9 treasured organs instead of 7. Combined with her modified body cultivation technique, her body was easily strong enough to rival the full power of most false deities. This wasn't mentioning her immortal cultivation base.

In the end, she sighed, she knew Alexis was just teasing. "What do you recommend I teach him?"

"Let's see... The birds and the bees would be a good start." Alexis said with a teasing smile.

"I stopped myself from smashing your pretty face once, I don't think I can do it again." Reina said with a twitching eyebrow.

"I didn't know you were lesbian!" Alexis said teasing, her smile turning into a grin.

Reina just snapped her finger in response, applying her knowledge of wind law into it.

*BOOM!*

This snap of her fingers created a loud sonic boom. She had already covered Zane's ears with immortal spirit energy beforehand, preventing him from even hearing the sound and waking up.

The sonic boom sent Alexis's papers flying everywhere, causing Reina to smirk.

It was then she witnessed something shocking, a thin green membrane began expanding from Alexis's body. As soon as this membrane covered every corner of the room the light in the room turned black and white and everything started reversing. The clock on the wall was going backward, and the papers began returning to their previous place on Alexis's desk, Reina could even see the shock wave from earlier coming back before disappearing and everything returned to normal.

Reina was too stunned to speak. Time Reversal! Alexis had just reversed time!

Alexis smiled seeing Reina's shock.

"Was that… the domain of time?" Reina asked with a slightly trembling voice. In response, Alexis activated her domain again. Reina noticed not only was the clock now moving much faster than it should, but the size of the room had also expanded to 4 times its size, and she seemed to feel 4 times as heavy all of a sudden.

"I've also mastered the domain of space and gravity, fusing all 3 together into a grand domain." Alexis said shocking Reina to her core.

A grand domain made from 3 heavenly elements is no joke. Especially when the 3 elements are all interconnected with each other like space, time, and gravity.

When it comes to the heavenly laws and their grand domains, there are 2 grand domains many people think of when thinking of the most powerful. A grand domain formed from space, time, and gravity, is the first. Gravity is a manipulation of space and time to an extent, and space and time are interconnected. So by forming a grand domain from those 3 elements, they all reinforce each other to a horrifying extent. A 5th tribulation immortal wielding such a grand domain can even put some ordinary false deities on the back foot.

The 2nd is the grand domain of light, darkness, and spirit. This one is far more mystical and profound, and is often used to create a domain of hyper-realistic illusions that can practically fool any immortal. Except everything within it is real on the spiritual level.

After this mini demonstration, Alexis retracted her grand domain. Before stating seriously "As for your question earlier, leave that to me. The boy piques my interest and I don't mind teaching him for you."

Reina hesitated.

"Relax, I won't teach him anything perverted." Alexis said knowing Reina's concerns.

Reina sighed reluctantly. "Alright then, I'll leave his lessons for you to teach."

Alexis nodded "You're welcome to attend them yourself. Perhaps you will learn something new."

Reina was about to reject it but then thought about it. Alexis hadn't earned the title of mad scholar for nothing, perhaps she really could learn something useful from her. With a nod, she said, "I'll attend if I can, though we shouldn't have to worry for another year at least."

It was then the bamboo slip attached to Reina's waist started vibrating and encrypted glowing letters only she could read began appearing on it. Reina read them with her immortal sense.

'All preparations and modifications are complete, we're just waiting on you 2 fine ladies. -Elder Andrew'

Reina rolled her eyes and replied with one word. 'Pervert.'

"The others are waiting on us, quickly pack up your library, and let's go." Reina said as she began walking out with Zane in her arms. It was then she realized how uncomfortable it was to carry such a big baby around in human form. She decided to pull out a floating platform normally used by mortal organizations that can't afford spatial treasures with large storage spaces. She placed a few blankets and pillows on it before setting Zane on it.

As she set him down on it he groggily opened his eyes. A hint of intelligence visible in them. However, that intelligence was quickly replaced with confusion then a bit of panic.

Reina smiled as she soothingly petted his smooth scales. ("Don't worry Zane, im not leaving. This is just so I can move more freely.")

Zane seemed very confused but nodded. With that, she began walking, the floating platform with Zane on it floating behind her. About 5 minutes later he calmed down and began looking around while staying on the platform.

Alexis soon caught up with them. "Sorry, it took me a minute. I see you finally got bored carrying around the oversized baby."

Reina found Alexis's words oddly amusing. Before she could say anything though Alexis spoke. "That hover platform is good and all, but it's boring. Maybe I should turn it into a hover palanquin. Or better yet, a 'normal' palanquin carried by false immortal level puppets."

Reina looked at her with a deadpan expression. "I don't know much about making puppets, but I know to make a single false immortal puppet would be more expensive than at least 3 low-grade immortal tools. I'd very much like to not bankrupt the currently fragile clan thank you."

"Besides, he's growing fast that platform won't hold him for long. Let's not waste resources on that." She reasoned causing Alexis to sigh.
