This is the story of the twins who restore the former glory of their Family, while overcoming all odds. .... The world is semi modern at the start, and technology is progressing as the timeline is moving forward. The Journey

As they were moving, Master Zerst took out a pack of lucky charms and handed them to the other three.

He instructed them to stamp a charm each on the forehead of their horses, so as to avoid any harm from happening to them. They were to replace these charms every 30 minutes.

Master Zerst strictly advised them about changing the charms telling that if they wanted to finish this journey in peace, they better not forget about it.

As soon as they left, his mother had closed the door to her small shop, and made her way to the basement. There, surrounded by various items of ancient age, she sat in a meditating position, and activated her ability.

Her actual Bloodline Ability was to suppress bad luck, but she had learnt from experience that suppressing bad luck generates a small amount of good luck in return. Today she was going to use that good luck for her children.

Using her ability, she suppressed the bad luck that was brought about by the ancient items surrounding her, which in turn created a small amount of good luck.

This small amount of good luck was captured by the ritual she had been preparing for the last three years and it allowed the passage of luck from her to her children through her blood.

"Almighty Ancestors, Bless my children." She prayed as she continued suppressing bad luck.

....

The journey was successful. They reached the Sun City within three days of their departure, but the journey was not without hardships.

On the first day, Caroline messed up and forgot to change the lucky charm on her horse which led to the horse losing its balance and falling on its neck in a weird way. As one could guess, the horse passed away, throwing Caroline into a sea of guilt, and making their journey harder.

Without another choice, Master Zerst ordered Trent, the other bodyguard he hired to share his ride with Caroline. He also stored the luggage Trent was carrying on his horse in the ring his mother had prepared for him to make it easier for the horse to carry both of them.

The next incident occurred when they were resting on the night of the first day.

While they resting after having dinner, a Silverwing wolf pack had silently surrounded them. The pack had 6 wolves, and their leader was an Evolved Silverwing Wolf that controlled the power of wind.

Not only was this leader more powerful than the members of its pack, he was also very fast.

Moreover, he launched a sneak attack before the group even sensed his presence.

Luckily, Master Zerst was prepared for such circumstances. Knowing that his journey wasn't safe, he had brought out the century old rings that had been storing up luck. He also scattered hundreds of lucky charms around their camp before they set up the tents to rest for the night.

The sneak attack of the pack leader missed as he had attacked an empty tent. Master Zerst had ordered the bodyguards to set up a total of 10 tents, but only 4 of them were occupied by them. He had been prepared for a sneak attack.

They were alerted of the wolf pack after their leader missed, and the shocked bodyguards immediately gathered at Master Zerst's tent.

Lady Zerst was still asleep though.

Usually Master Zerst would have let his sister sleep this one while he took care of the problem, but since she was wearing their Family Earrings, he brought her sleeping figure and carried her out.

The fight after that was pretty abnormal. Most of the attacks from Trent and Roald failed to touch the leader. It wasn't just because the leader was fast since Trent was also someone who had awakened a speed type ability, it was because they always faltered at the final second due to unknown reasons.

Fortunately, none of the attacks from the leader touched both of them.

At this point, the battle became a battle of luck. The wolf leader saw that Roald and Trent were protecting Master Zerst who was carrying his sister and tried many times to switch his attacks on them. But his attacks mysteriously went towards either Trent or Rolad.

As time passed, Master Zerst saw the remaining wolves moving towards him while his bodyguards were busy with their leader. Seeing that his luck was getting low, Master Zerst stuck a bunch of charms on himself.

At this time, Trent suddenly stopped engaging with the leader, and moved towards the other wolves.

With a sharp dagger, Trent killed 2 of the wolves, before a wolf howl resounded from far away.

When the leader heard this howl, his expression turned dark. He looked at the tents, and back towards the place where the howl had come, and gave a deep howl himself.

He then ignored Roald and ran towards the first howl at his maximum speed.

The other wolves followed their leader and ran away.

But before the wolves ran away, Master Zerst took out a black needle from a old looking storage box from inside his ring and tossed it to Trent. Trent who understood what he had to do, did what he had to do. He caught up with the wolves and pierced a wolf's tail with it.

The needle was a carrier of bad luck that was sealed away in a luck sealing box. With it, whatever the trouble the wolves were facing to stop attacking them, it was only going to get bigger.

The second day started badly. For some reason, even though they had been regularly changing charms on their horses, one of the horse had fallen sick.

Without any other choice, Master Zerst had to order Trent to run along with them, while Roald gave ride to Caroline. Obviously, Roald's luggage was taken care by Master Zerst's storage ring.

Trent wasn't happy with his orders, but after feeling the power of misfortune firsthand, he kept quiet and ran along.

Sadly, his shoes became spent goods halfway through their second day's journey, making Trent scowl at his bad luck.

Usually, by now, they should have atleast come across a few merchants that were travelling north to trade goods on these roads, but unfortunately for them, they hadn't seen a single soul since the beginning of second day.

Due to Trent, they weren't able to reach the safe destination that Master Zerst had been counting on to avoid misfortune and thus, they had to spend their second day camped out, instead of the village, which was their original destination for the second day.

Fortunately, the Silverwing wolves that were known to hold grudges were facing an unknown enemy, and couldn't attack them.

The second day's night was pretty spooky for everyone except for Lady Zerst, who slept the night away.

Seeing how bad their First night was, Master Zerst did not want to take chances and thus he cut his left index finger and drew a question mark like symbol on his right palm.

With this, the luck that his mother had been sending through the ritual started gathering around him, taking the form of a cloud that surrounded him and his sister.

Though nothing major happened this night. But weird sounds could be heard from all around their surroundings.

It was as if someone was going to attack them, but they instead met their arch enemy and had to Abondon their original plans.

Overall, it was a restless night.

As for the third day, finally luck seemed to have favoured them. They came across a merchant who lent them two horses when Master Zerst threw some gold coins at him.

And no mishaps occurred until they reached Sun City, the closest human settlement to the Great Rise Academy.
