A mighty blue thunderbolt zapped in the sky and tore multiple times through the barrier of sound, in a matter of seconds it was already above Hades and Jörmungandr, the world serpent looked at it with hate and spewed a colorful beam of poison.
The flash of poison froze in the air electrocuted and disappeared from the face of the world. The lightning bolt then descended to the ground and materialized as a big fat man with red hair. "Hades Kronoson" spoke the man with a grave ton.
"Thor Odinson, I suppose," said Hades, looking at the thunder god with a playful smirk. Thor's eyebrows furrowed as his suspicion grew.
"Yes," Thor nodded, before saying with a stern voice, "I heard you wanted to visit Asgard."
"That is right," answered Hades, his voice dripping with amusement. He calmly petted Jörmungandr, enjoying the serpent's comfort.
"I am here to guide you and answer any questions you may have," said Thor, extending his arm and indicating for Hades to follow.
"~Oh my, do you not trust me?~" Hades asked with a mischievous tone, as he playfully rubbed his chin.
"No," Thor answered without hesitation, his eyes narrowing with distrust.
As Hades stood before Thor, the god of thunder, the power dynamic between the two was palpable. The deity of the underworld radiated an aura of authority, his purple eyes glowing with a dangerous intensity. Despite Thor's own formidable presence, he seemed to shrink in comparison to the imposing figure before him. The air grew heavy, and time seemed to slow down to a crawl as if the very fabric of reality was bending to Hades' will.
It however quickly vanished as if all was an illusion and everything became normal once again, but Thor couldn't shake the feeling that he was being tested.
Hades turned his head back and smiled, "It was nice to see you Jormungandr, may we see each other again in the future."
As Thor and Hades vanished in a mix of zapping thunder and bones, Thor couldn't help but wonder what the God of the Underworld was up to.
"So, has Odin sent you?" Hades asked, his eyes glinting with curiosity.
"What do you think?" Thor replied, his tone cautious.
"Well, yes," Hades chuckled, "after all, you are a child who follows your father, unlike me."
"Why have you come?" Thor asked, his voice stern.
"I was bored," Hades replied with a shrug, "and I thought why not visit my neighbors."
"We are not neighbors," Thor corrected.
"We live on the same planet," Hades countered.
"Not really, we do not live in the same realm. Midgard and Asgard are two completely different places, besides, don't you live in the Underworld" Thor explained.
"I do" Hades nodded, without understanding the correlation, as even though the Underworld is another realm, it is still part of the earth and belongs as in the name under the world of the mortals.
"Can't say I am surprised, who else but a freak like you could live in such a place." Thor mocked Hades, he did not like him, his presence resembled someone, he could not tolerate, too much.
"Oh my, do you perhaps not like me?" asked Hades mischievously while looking at Thor directly in the eyes.
"No, I don't" responded Thor without an ounce of hesitation, there was no point in lying, he thought.
"And why is that" Hades was curious why exactly Thor seemed to borderline hate him, even before even meeting.
"I just don't like everything about you" Thor answered in a half-truth way, lightning flickered in the sky.
"How could we resolve that?"
"Fight, drink, fart" pointedly answered Thor, the tone he used made Hades think Thor was serious, and searching into the meager things he knew about Thor from the Magnus Chase series, he found out it might be true.
"I understand the first two but not the last one," said Hades, his playful tone never wavering.
"Greeks as always," replied Thor.
"Meh, I think you would be great friends with my brother Zeus, or maybe arch-enemies," said Hades with a chuckle imagining a cat fight between both.
"Should I take that as good or not?" asked Thor with a frown.
"I don't even know myself," replied Hades.
"Then I will take that in a positive light and believe that you are complimenting me," said Thor trying to act rationally.
"So, tell me more about Asgard," asked Hades, his manipulative intentions evident.
"What exactly do you want to know?" asked Thor, still wary of his intention.
"Well, how is life there?" Hades asked while calmly walking, his question seeming unimportant.
"Good I guess, we mostly pass our time in family drinking, fighting, and farting." Hades's smile grew wider, his purple eyes bored into Thor's being before in an imperceptible moment it turned normal once again.
"I still do not understand the last one but ok" he responded confused about how farting was an activity, but everyone their hobby, he thought.
"So where are you taking me?" he asked looking around them at the vast scenery.
"To Odin"
"Wow Sherlock, as if I couldn't figure that out myself. But more like were exactly, a castle or some other Norse place."
"Norse place? We don't have such things, but if you want to know, we are going to The Castle Between Dimensions" Responded Thor incredulous, what did those Greek think about them, he thought.
"Oh my, such a great name, It is a castle between dimensions I believe?" Hades pointed out, interested in the Castle where Odin lived.
"You are partially correct" responded Thor trailing his answer as if trying to build suspense
"It is a castle made by Odin and Frigga, it is a mix of many dimensions, and every room is not on the same realm, it is like a labyrinth of dimensions."
"Interesting, I can't wait to see it" his playful smirk and mischievous tone made Thor shiver, but he quickly recovered his composure and said
"You won't have to wait for long."
"Even better I guess," answered Hades, curious about how strong exactly Odin was.
