Ice and fire

Two hours passed, and Julia finished her work hours. She changed her clothes and went to Loki, who was drinking the fourth cup of coffee. When Julia's eyes met Loki's, she blushed a little.

"I am sorry it took me so long," Julia said as she sat next to him. "I came as soon as I finished work."

Loki just shrugged. "Don't worry about that. I know when you will finish work."

Julia chuckled awkwardly. Then Loki raised his hand to call for a waitress. A cute waitress in a maid costume came to take their order in a minute. When she saw Julia with a boy, she was shocked.

The girl smiled at Julia. "How can I help you?" she asked, giving them the best smile.

They gave her their orders and waited for the waitress to leave. Soon, the waitress came with their orders; an omelet for Julia with a cup of coffee and a salad for Loki, who didn't have much of an appetite but decided to order something just to keep Julia company.

"What did you do to get that face?" Loki asked smugly, staring at Julia, who was bright red after the waitress gave her a wink.

"I assume she was just surprised seeing me on a date," Julia giggled. "You are my first boyfriend."

"I am honored," Loki smirked, leaning forward to kiss Julia's cheek. She gladly accepted the gesture.

They ate their meal and had small talk until they were done.

"Now what?" Loki asked once he had wiped some sauce off Julia's chin. "Shall we go to the gym?"

"Yes. But can we go to the jewelry shop first? It is my sister's birthday," Julia asked. Loki agreed to this idea. They paid for their meal and left.

Once they entered the shop, a familiar voice shouted, "Loki?!"

When they looked back, they saw Clara standing by the jewelry display with shocked eyes.

"Clara!" Loki exclaimed with a frown on his face. "And here I thought no one could ruin my mood today."

"Loki?" Clara looked confused. "Who is she?"

"Her name is Julia," Loki replied. "She is my girlfriend."

"G-girlfriend?" Clara stuttered out.

Jules blushed a little bit and nodded shyly.

Clara gasped softly. "You broke up with Sara?"

"Why do you seem so shocked?" Loki raised his brows. After everything that happened, it shouldn't be surprising that Loki decided to end their relationship.

"You used to be so obsessed with her..." Clara exclaimed. "I didn't know you would fall in love with someone else."

"Really?" Loki said sarcastically.

"Well, good for you," Clara exclaimed. "She was cheating on you after all."

"Yes. Anyway," Loki interrupted before Clara could continue talking, "Julia and I should get going."

After finishing his last sentence, he walked away from Clara. He grabbed Julia's hand, which made the latter gasp slightly. Soon they found themselves inside the empty school's gym. They went separate to the changing rooms, and after changing their clothes, they went to the middle of the gym, and Loki asked if she was ready for a mock battle.

"Are you ready?" Loki smiled and cupped her cheeks with his hands.

Julia nodded and then leaned into his touch. Loki placed a gentle kiss on her lips before pulling away.

"Let's do this." Loki created a fire around himself, waiting for Julia's signal.

Julia closed her eyes, and when she opened them, they were glowing silver. "Ready!" The surroundings began to freeze.

This startled Loki, which reminded him of his power, the eye of chaos. However, he quickly regained his composure and attacked Julia, making a big gust of wind.

Julia managed to dodge most of the hits. However, she couldn't stop some of them, so she ended up being pushed backward and landing harshly on the ground. She tried getting up again, but Loki stopped her.

"Julia, I know this isn't your full strength," Loki frowned. He knew that Julia had more than enough power to freeze even the time itself. She was holding back.

"Uh..." She started stuttering, not knowing how to answer Loki. Her hands were starting to shake. She didn't want to lose control in front of Loki. But she knew she couldn't hold it back anymore. "Fine..."

Julia's eyes began to glow even brighter, and two large silver balls appeared in her hand. Loki noticed this, and a smile crept on his lips. "Do it!"

The two of them began the fight of ice and fire. At first, it was just a simple game between them, but as the battle continued, it became even more difficult; they began trying to hurt each other.

Julia launched a barrage of icicles at Loki while Loki kept evaporating them all with increased heat around himself. Then Julia launched a blast of cold in Loki's direction. The trickster managed to avoid the attack by using his illusion powers, but the impact of the cold started freezing the floor, making it harder for Loki to move without slipping.

Julia smirked evilly. "You can surrender!~" She teased Loki, who created a massive explosion around himself and melted all the ice. But Julia reacted immediately and started creating a huge wall of ice, covering Loki completely.

He tried to break through, but he couldn't. His only chance of escaping the icy prison ass if he could somehow melt it. He tried several times, but every single time he failed. He realized that this was one of her most powerful skills, and the ice is immune to heat. This meant that he had no hope of melting it.

"Damn it, even with her split personality..." Loki thought. "I didn't think she would go that far."

Then Loki began to manipulate ice mana instead of trying to melt the ice itself. This was the only way he was able to escape the ice trap. As he controlled the ice mana to flow, the ice melted slowly.

Loki saw a sadistic side in Julia, as whenever she managed to land a powerful hit on Loki, she smirked and bit her lower lip. This felt weird for Loki, but for some reason, he felt excited. His heart raced as adrenaline rushed through his veins, and he started feeling alive. But as usual, there was only one winner. Loki stood frozen, watching Julia panting heavily, looking extremely tired. A huge smile was on her face as she turned around and faced Loki.

"Nice pose!" she exclaimed. "Did I win?"

But ice that surrounded Loki began to evaporate, revealing him once again, covered in sweat and breathing hard. Julia's gaze softened, kneeling beside him, placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Are you alright? Did I hurt you?" she asked worriedly.

Loki sighed and shook his head slightly. "I'm fine, don't worry," he replied. "Damn, you're good!"
