Kai Whitlock who has shown little to no potential in being an ability holder. He became an outcast in society and even in his own family. With only a father he could rely on. As an innocent child, Kai had always wanted to get ahold of his mother's love and affection. He trained, he studied and played his part. Instead of getting the treatment he yearned for, Kai was sold off to a Lord who was known for his promiscuity.  Kai Whitlock became an empty shell that wanted nothing more than revenge for his suffering. And there came the day where he was released from the grasp of the evil Lord.  Flowers were littered around the room, they emitted a scent of newly spilled blood. The night has never shined so brightly as it did that day. The moonlight shone upon Kai, blessing him with it's embrace. Kai wanted strength to devour the world whole.

Call For Help

Morning came and Kai was found to be awake first, sitting on the bed while he looked lifelessly out of the window.

It gave Gerald a strange feeling down his spine but he brushed it off while carefully unlocking the cuffs. He had noticed this before, but the child's wrist was tiny. If Kai had honestly tried to escape, his hands would slip through the cuff easily. He thought.

"Let's go, we have a long trip ahead. Take him down to the carriage and I'll get us breakfast. After we make it to Bristol at night, we'll get him cleaned up." Hans hurried.

They all got onto the carriage but this time, the interior and exterior looks much noticeably cleaner and extravagant. With small carved designs on the wood and gold linings on the seats.

Kai eventually fell asleep on the carriage, he had planned on remembering the landscape to use for an escape but his fatigue washed over him. Without him knowing, Gerald picked him up and carried him to a store.

Gerald made his way into Bristol's most popular clothes store and went into a previously booked room, placing Kai down the couch while waiting for someone to serve them.

Hans positioned the carriage properly and quickly ran after them. "At this rate, we'll be able to arrive at Lord Bellaire's mansion in the wee hours of the morning."

"That's great. I heard our salary this time was rather high." Gerald replied, combing his fingers through the boy's hair. He felt like he was committing a huge sin. Bringing such an innocent child into that hellhole. Kai reminded him of his younger brother.

Suddenly, a person walked into the room with the most sophisticated pieces of clothing ever. She strutted to the front in her massive heels and made her presence known. She instinctively glanced at the person who looked most suitable to be worthy of her clothings.

Mrs Janice raised her eyebrows in shock and walked over to the sleeping boy. She then looked at the burly man beside him. "Gerald! You again gave me the biggest surprises! Lord Bellaire's ones again eh? The last one had emerald eyes but this one.." her voice trailing off.

"Uh yeah." Gerald replied, awkwardly touching his neck.

"I'll get him washed per instruction. I should be done at midnight. You guys can sleep on the couch, don't dirty it though." Janice said, smiling while she carefully woke up the boy.

They both made their way to the showers while Janice's helpers cleaned him up. She was quite enjoying the surprise she was sent today. He would be a great subject to her items. Such a shame it was Lord Bellaire's.

Kai walked out of the shower with a cloth around him. He was shivering due to the cold shower. He was also rather confused, once he had woken up, he met eyes with a strange old woman and was taken to the bathroom with no warning whatsoever.

He backed off when he saw the woman holding scissors in her hands.

"Come closer boy. I don't have all day." Janice said. Pulling out a white post shirt with short white pants. It would suit his innocent and gentle aura perfectly. After all the trouble she had to go through to choose these pieces, she didn't regret it.

Janice put on the clothes for the boy and felt like his body was too cold. It felt as cold as ice. She furrowed her eyebrows but ignored it. Every contact she made with the boy's skin, he flinched like a prey getting caught by a predator.

"Say, you look like you have some pretty decent etiquette by the way you're standing. You are from a noble family aren't you?" She asked, striking up a conversation.

Kai nodded and looked away.

"I could help you escape from Lord Bellaire's grasp. I have the power and connections to do so, you know?" Janice teased with a smile.

Kai turnt back at her and quickly held her arms. "Please..save me. I don't wanna go to the Bellaires. Please please." He begged, his eyes shining with desperation. Anything was better than the Bellaires. He had read magazines of them and it wasn't lovely.

Janice smiled and grabbed the boy's hands roughly. "I'm joking. Get your hands off me." She said in a threatening tone.

Kai retreated his arms and felt like he had just got tricked. He had seriously thought the woman was going to save him.

"Hurry on now little one. Or else the cats would start chasing." She warned, pointing to the doorway after she had dressed him fully.

Kai didn't want to lose this chance. "Please save me. I'm begging you. I'll help you in any way I can. So save me. I don't wanna live like this." He ran back to her halfway and hugged her while tears flowed down his face.

It may seem pathetic for someone to beg for mercy from a stranger. But what could a mere kid with no power do? Stand idly while they get dragged to hell's gates?

"What can you even do for me?" Janice asked, one of eyebrows raised while she shooed him away. She had no time to deal with a kid throwing a tantrum. He continued hugging her leg and that's when she lost it.

"I'm good friends with Lord Bellaire. If you continue this behaviour, I'll tell him about your disobedience. So it would be best if you let go now. I've seen plenty of his objects crying and begging me for help. But I have never once yielded. So it'd be best if you give up and return." Janice snapped, walking away while rubbing her temples.

Kai sat in the middle of the clothes filled room while staring at his last chance of hope slipping away. There were no windows to escape from. Doors were locked and only led to audiences. He wiped his tears with the back of his palm and walked towards the door.

Gerald's eyes snapped open when he heard the metal sound of the door knob. There revealed a much tidier looking Kai whose eyes and nose was red. It stood out from his snowy white skin. It was obvious he cried, begging for escape from Janice.

"Let's get going. We need to be there by morning at the latest." Hans said, standing up and yawning, stretching out his hands while waiting at the door for the two to leave.

The carriage rode through the woods, the path was rocky making the carriage shake. Bandits were about to surround the carriage before they recognised the logo on the door. They backed off while they felt shivers crawling up their spine.

Bellaire was someone you should not mess with. Unless you are willing to lose your life.
