Old Ones Awakening

Gaia arrived in the skies of Earth, overlooking everything below with an absent mind. Lin Dao's words echoed in her mind, 'You are mine.' Gaia smiled, what arrogant words, mortal women would have been put off by them, however, all she felt was fuzziness in her core and a sense of belonging.

She didn't actually have to arrive in the skies as she could see everything no matter where she was, the Earth was after all her body. The reason she didn't just enter her core was that she was absent-minded.

Gaia was an ancient being, so she was able to control her emotions quickly. Looking around, she notices that she was above the Pacific Ocean, which looks a bit different from how wild the creatures we're in there. There were fishes bigger than a thousand meters with horns and their heads, whales that look like mountains and turtles that seem to be able to carry the world on their backs.

She descended and landed on the surface of the ocean, not causing a single ripple. None of the creatures seem to be able to see her as she indifferently walks past them, moving into the horizon.

To Gaia, no matter how powerful these creatures are, they will be unable to threaten or suppress her in her own world, it's because she was their mother! She was the mother of nature, which includes everything, no one in their right mind would want to harm their mother.

She wanted to help Lin Dao, and she planned to do just that. How she did it was her own problem in the end as long as the results are the same, who would care?

As she walked across the ocean, she remembered the moment of her birth, the time when monstrosities walk the world. She remembered around that time, where extraordinary creatures which surpass all the current creatures in strength, with powers that modern people would call godly or demonic depending on their views. These beings cause untold destruction to the world, some causing places to burn or flood; however, while there were evil ones, there were also some who helped the world. In a way one could even say these were the ancestors of all current creatures, humans included.

Where did they come from? Gaia looks down as she wonders where that lightning bolt had gone?

Although she wasn't born at that time, she was aware that she was born as a result of the lightning bolt, a bolt of black purplish lightning. It had struck the ocean and creatures began to crawl out, in a way she crawled out as well.

The amount of destruction they had caused back then had made her feel pain for the first time in her existence. She felt fear along with that pain, fear towards the unknown thus she killed the creatures whether they be good or bad, she felt them be the same kind of beings, beings too powerful for the world.

Thinking of the destruction they cause, Gaia sent a command to the creature above Earth, letting it announce changes he will create.

< Mother Gaia, the owner of this world has set the power limit of this world to the Heavenly Realm, to limit the level of destruction that is allowed to exist. Reaching this limit, one must advance towards Desolate World to become stronger. There is no limit in Desolate World but the one you place on yourself.>

Since she announced the changes, she didn't think much and commanded the energy that descended from Lin Dao's world to strengthen hers. She set an invisible restriction that blanket the world, as long as people constantly follow this restriction, one day it might evolve to become a Law.

Finished, Gaia began to think about the next plan, to help the common people. Even though the energy from Lin Dao had made everyone able to cultivate, it only gave them a chance instead of a full grantee. She wants to make it so everyone is involved in this new world, or they might get left behind, never amounting to anything. Although she hated humans as they are like parasites feeding off her flesh, they were her children so she loved them as well.

She knew Lin Dao had created the Faith Path, so she planned to use it. Usually, she wouldn't be able to, but with the piece of Lin Dao core and as Lin Dao wife she can.

Reaching in front of herself, her hand disappeared as it entered into a different dimension, she felt her hand touch something and pull out. What she pulled out was a blank piece of paper that was dull and lusterless. The paper was like a scroll as most of it was rolled up, only leaving an adult palm size opened to write on. Currently, on the paper, there was one name shining in gold, the God of Protection, Lin Huang.

Gaia raised a brow as she noticed Lin Haung's power level, it was beyond what the world limit is; she relaxed her frown as she didn't see a problem. With her strength and her world suppression, the only beings who could fight her on the equal ground would be Great Gods, so she didn't fear a puny God!

Holding the scroll, she gathered world energy on the tip of her right index finger, pausing wondering whose name to write. She began to write, 'Jade Emperor, Sovereign of the Heavenly Court'. The moment the last stroke to the name was written down, the second name emitted a dazzling golden light before fading.

The world shook so faintly that no one noticed as energy congregated above most of Asia, turning into an egg, which attracted a lot of attention.

Satellites of the superpowers zoom in on the area, observing the energy egg. As they watch, the egg broke apart as q arm poke out of the egg, followed by other body parts.

From the egg, a man who seems to be in his twenties walkout, looking like an emperor with his long and confident strides.

The man look like an Asian with the typical black hair that was tied up and rested beneath his ceremonial crown. The man was wearing green robe that had dragons crawling all over it. The man's eyes were like the sun and moon full of divine authority!

The man spoke as he saw no one around to welcome him, yet he senses people we're around monitoring him somehow. " I'm the Jade Emperor, the Sovereign of the three realms, come greet you emperor!!" His voice was soft and gentle even, however it traveled thousands of miles causing the skies to dim and the earth to tremble as he remained in the skies.

Since this world had been getting more and more confusing, all countries had been monitoring their nations, to the level that not even a fly could enter without their notice. So even before the Jade Emperor had come out of the egg and had spoken, military vehicles from China and India were on their way over, with China in the lead. It's not known if it was to welcome him or to destroy him, however.

Jade Emperor's face became black as a stormy night as he couldn't believe no one had come when he had spoken, he was the ruler of everything, even the gods are but mere servants to him, yet he was being ignored!! Fury unlike any other emerged in his heart, which made him toss out his divine item, Dragon Seal," Dragon Seal, show me the path to my people let them know what the price of humiliating me is!" The Dragon Seal hummed like it was sentient before breaking the space that should be able to contain Heavenly Beings to pieces, guiding it's master through the space crack.

Jade Emperor with fury that could burn the heavens arrived on the other side of the passage, standing in the skies. At this point the skies were black with thunder and lightning echoing, making the entire Asian Continent to be gloomy and dreadful!!!

Looking down on the land, Jade Emperor expected to see villages, towns and kingdoms like he saw in ancient times, but what he saw was buildings made out of glass and other advanced materials. Vehicles that we're not being pulled by horses and humans living hilariously. The more he looked on, the more confused he became, as he didn't know what this place was yet he felt his aura of sovereignty here.

With his fury turn into confusion, the skies became bright and sunny.

Jade Emperor decided to fly in the direction he senses the aura, which happened to be a huge building that doesn't lose in size to the palaces of the Human Sovereigns of the old.

Entering the building, he was like an invisible being as no one could see him. He flew straight through the door of the office in front of him, entering a large room filled with books and a large desk with an old man behind it looking directly at him as he drank his red wine. " You must be Jade Emperor, the Son of Heaven, and ancestor to China? I'm Fun Guhbu, the President of China, hmm, I guess you could say I'm like a fake emperor, as I actually have no power to change anything." The old man smiled as he drank his wine looking at thin air. However, the old man's eyes which seem like a bottomless lake remain indifferent.

Jade Emperor had to admit, this man-made him startle as he could sense an aura like no other from him, it was almost at the level Human Sovereigns, but not. It's confusing as it was strong at one moment then weak the next.

He materializes himself and sits in front of Fun Guhbu, summoning a jar of heavenly peach wine, which could allow a mortal to become an immortal with a single drop. " Yes I'm Jade Emperor, I'm currently confused about where is the aura of sovereignty, the divine beast that guards the nation? "

The man in front of him just shook his head and explained, causing the Jade Emperor face to change constantly. "That's the story, so basically, if the story about you has been true, you have existed for a very long time and only came back now because of the changes to the world. In this current world, there are not any deities beside the one who has conquer this world and prehabs woke you up. China is where you are worship, along with many of the gods, everywhere else has other deities; I believe that God will awaken them like he did you." The man explained everything he knew.

Jade Emperor would have thought everything was a lie but he could see for himself everything was real too real. The more he learned the more he got confused, wasn't there only the deities of his Heavenly Court in existence, so why are their other deities, could it be….Jade Emperor has his suspicions but he didn't dare believe them!! If he did, how powerful must this God be?

As he was lost in though a voice, so gentle it remind him of his wife spoke into his ears. "Yes, your guest is right, however is it a bad thing? I have given you a chance to become something great, don't tell me you don't want it?"

Jade Emperor thought about it, he indeed have been given a chance, so without thinking he he said he wanted it.

"Good, you will be allow to stay here for three months, do what you want, just don't destroy the world. After that time limit, you will ascend to Desolate World, hopefully the Divine Realm had been completed by then." The voice signed and disappeared, only to reappear, " I ask my husband for a favor and had will allow it, by acting your role, you will be given incentives and the like to awaken all those in your memory."

Jade Emperor stood up and pointed at the man, " Thanks to you I have remembered many things, to be honest I don't know who really you are but it doesn't matter, you are the most talented person in my 'China' so I shall appoint you the ruler of China, if there is to be a Human Emperor it must be you. Once you become a Human Emperor, the sovereigns might awake." From the Jade Emperor's finger, a beam of golden energy in the shape of a dragon entered the man's body, causing his nonexistent cultivation to rocket up and pause at the peak of the mortal realm.

Jade Emperor turned and left, traveling all over China before a beam of light shot down from the heavens onto him. The Jade Emperor had decide to ascend ahead of time as there was nothing interesting here. He was not stupid though, before be left he train some culitvatiors and gave the man a seal, one like his but thousands of times weaker.

Similar things could be seen all over the world, as many powerful beings 'awaken' and cause changes to the world before ascending.
