Revenge of the half-demon cultivator on his second life.

Xie Ra was a stranger who suddenly appeared in the peaceful Yulong village out of nowhere. He had a hard time adjusting to his new environment. Being amnesic didn't make it easy for him. Under the wings of kind elder Mo Xing, Xie Ra started to believe his life would be fine from now on. But, fate seemed to have other plans. Sadly, One tragic incident forced Xie Ra to leave his village life behind. However, fate didn't stop playing with Xie Ra after this. He regained his memory and learned how unfortunate his previous life was. The innocent, childlike cultivator who just wanted to be a swordsman... What happened to him? How would he face the fact that he unjustly condemned and murdered by his own friends? Would he make peace with the fact that he was half-demon? A half-breed offspring of the ancient abyssal race? Would it be easy for him to build his cultivation crumb by crumb, from the mortal realm to above? He cannot forgive. He cannot forget. "They will pay for their sins." For the first time in his life, his smile became malicious. (PS: I don't own the drawing of the cover picture. I sadly couldn't find the artist. Unexpected observation

However, Xie Ra couldn't meet Tang Zihao in the morning as he planned. Not only that day but for two days he was busy. What was he doing to become busy at a different sect? No, not investigations.

It all happened after the Phoenix sect leader got sick. He called a meeting for everyone in the sect, including the guests in the morning, when Xie Ra wanted to meet Tang Zihao. The sect leader explained that he was feeling sick for a few days. He explained that it wasn't something terrible but, he just needed a small break from sect work for a few days to rest. so, he gave the sect's authority to the sect's second elder until he recovers.

This meeting and promotion took half of Xie Ra's day. Therefore he decided to meet Tang Zihao in the evening. However, that evening the second elder called the Jade sword crew for evening tea and asked for a favor.

Sect's second elder suggested that it would be great if some of their trainer disciples learn some basic attack techniques from the Jade sword crew. His argument was beast cultivators weren't great attackers themselves so this was a golden opportunity for them.

Xie Ra thought it was a dumb request. These basic attack techniques couldn't transform anyone into powerful attackers. Those techniques were known as "basic" for a reason.

Sects never give away the secrets of their powerful techniques so, even after this training, the Phoenix sect's disciples would be the same as before. Moreover, these basic techniques were displayed in many books using pictures.

But, how much stupid this request was they couldn't say no to the sect's second elder. To their dismay, the sect leader wasn't there to save them from this unnecessary burden. This newly promoted lazy looking elder started to make a mess out of everything as soon as he became the supervisor.

As expected, Xie Ra and Lan Jiayi had to do this bothersome task. As low realm cultivators in their team, they couldn't let their seniors do the work and relax. This was how Xie Ra lost his chance to meet the fire demon for two days.

However, this whole situation made Xie Ra feel uneasy. It didn't make any sense at all. He sometimes suspected if this was a distraction to make a murder in the city. But, then again there wasn't any incident on these two days.

The only good thing was Tang Zihao was out there, carefully observing the situation. Xie Ra planned to escape into the city soon and find Tang Zihao to warn him to be on alert just in case.

However, Xie Ra met him faster than I expected.

Xie Ra went to the balcony in front of my room and sat on the floor to breathe some fresh air. It was his weird habit which he had even in his past life. If Xie Ra didn't sit somewhere dangerous like a rooftop or balcony railing, he chose the floor to sit on. He felt uncomfortable sitting on chairs and relaxing.

This position hid Xie Ra from the outside viewers but, he could see everything clearly. He put his temple against the railing and watched the city which was clearly visible from his spot.

It looked peaceful and beautiful as always. Xie Ra thought how tragic it was to have a ruthless killer roam there freely. He felt sad about the blood that was spilled on this artistic ground within the past month.

He sighed and tried to stand up. Suddenly he halted his movement as he felt something unusual moving in his sight. He hid and tried to grasp what moved fast within his visual field.

two figures were running through the rooftops. It was crystal clear that two of them had some cultivation base as they moved powerfully from one roof to another. Was that the killer? Oh no, then he must save the victim before he gets killed.

Xie Ra went into his room, took his sword, and silently jumped from the balcony. Then he moved swiftly to go into the city.

He had to use the main gate to escape as he didn't want to alarm the sect from his secret escape. It wasn't hard as he was used to sneaking out of the Immortal sword sect in past to grab immortal wine at night. Sometimes being mischievous helps you in dire situations.

Within a few seconds, he escaped into the city without getting noticed. He smirked. Then he tried to sense the presence of moving figures. He sensed that they were moving north. He swiftly followed the duo quietly.

But, after a while, Xie Ra lost track of them. He was sure that he sensed their presence here. If only he was in a higher realm, he could've used stealth and check around. But, he was a qi-condensation disciple, so he couldn't use strong skills like that. However, he tried to sneak around a bit to search the vicinity.

Suddenly someone grabbed him from behind in an alleyway.

Xie Ra was startled but, as a hunter, he didn't scream in that situation. Instead, he tried to escape from the grip. Then, a familiar voice whispered into his ear,

"Stop struggling. It's me."

As soon as Xie Ra heard the voice of Tang Zihao he stopped his attempt. He felt the grip on him released slowly. Xie Ra turned to his detective partner and sent him a questioning look.

Tang Zihao put his index finger on his mouth. Then, he walked slowly towards the other end of the building. Xie Ra followed him. Tang Zihao silently pointed his finger to the city wall.

A silhouette of a man who bent with one knee sat on the wall. Even his face wasn't visible as he sat against the moon, his attire clearly saw who he was. No, he didn't wear cultivators' clothes. The cloth that covered the lower half of his face, two daggers in his hand, body-fitted clothes, everything screamed about his profession.

An assassin.

Hello, my dear readers, : D Sorry for the break I took. I really didn't feel happy about not uploading. But, the past few days were a bit conflicting and tiresome for this poor author. Sadly, until my exams-In July- were over I don't think my updates will be constant. It's not that I don't have time to write but, with pressure, I lack the energy and motivation to write. I don't want to publish anything lame just to fulfill the daily publishing, even it helped me to get attention in my book. I want to give my best to this story which I started to tell with so much love.

I love my lovely readers so much! :D cya in the next chapter...
