The burning spirit can be seen in some Tanee villagers, especially Apsel. Still, with a vengeful blank stare, he seemed to be looking forward to fighting against man's mortal enemy, namely, the Jotuns.
"Apsel, are you sure you're going to do this?" his neighbor is standing next to him.
Apsel then turned to the man with a flat face expressionless. He didn't say anything but the man could already feel the grudge That Dom kept from the look on his face.
"Well, we're on the hunt now!" shouted Emmett.
The men's screaming voices in Tanee village echoed until they were heard in part of the Dark forest area. It was also the sound that awakened Volka from her sleep until she gasped and immediately looked at the source of the sound. When he learned that the villagers of Tanee were about to carry out an attack, Volka hurried away to Howa cave to report this to Rudolf.
"Where is Mr. Rudolf?!"
"What are you doing here? Didn't Mr. Rudolf drive you out of these woods?!" asked the Jotun.
Volka hurriedly broke into Howa's cave, looking for where Arthur's father was. Not long after, he also saw Rudolf sitting casually while chatting with Kara's aunt.
"Master! Mr. Rudolf! This is a danger, sir. Danger!"
Volka's exclamation naturally made Rudolf and Kara's aunt confused. The two turned their heads to each other with a frown on their foreheads. Aunt Kara then stood up and brought herself closer to Volka, her face bent.
"What do you mean? Can you talk next time? Rudolf and I are talking about an important thing," denied Kara's aunt, who was visibly upset by Volka's presence.
"Auntie. There is important information to be attached to Mr. Rudolf. Otherwise, this could endanger us all!" said Volka keep.
"Kara, let Volka speak. What's the matter, Volka?" said Rudolf.
"The humans! The villagers of Tanee village are going to attack us! They are on their way here!"
Both of Rudolf's eyes opened wide. He believes that Volka is unlikely to lie or is scared now. However, his expression and the way he spoke to Volka's gestures made it evident that he panicked.
"Then, then why? Rudolf, remember! We are Jotuns! We need not be afraid of the threats made by those humans!" rebutted Kara's aunt.
"Kara! Can you shut up for a moment? I was talking to Volka. Better, find a safe hiding place for you and your child!" snapped Rudolf in a raised tone.
Aunt Kara chimed in. He was shocked when Rudolf yelled at him like that in front of Volka. He was both annoyed and embarrassed because of it. Then, he left, of course, with great annoyance at both Rudolf and Volka.
Konsta's confidence, which had been lost for some time, has resurfaced. Rudolf's need for help certainly made him happy because he felt that his punishment had been over, and he also thought that Rudolf had forgiven his mistakes. Rudolf also told Volka about what he should do at this time.
With a slow pace, Emmett and his residents finally come to a quarter of the Dark forest. This is the first time in history for the villagers of Tanee to set foot in the cursed forest. The spirit of Apsel and several other residents were so passionate that the fear of the forest was cursed, and the inhabitants disappeared instantly. However, some residents walked while shaking and spread their eyes around the woods because they felt anxious and afraid.
"Mr. Emmett, how about we scatter? I heard, Howa cave... the cave where the Jotuns live is quite difficult to find in this forest," Apsel told Emmett.
"Good idea."
Erasto stopped his length and stood before his citizens to announce something before they entered the core of the forest.
"Alright. To speed up our search, I will divide you into three armies, each of which will be led by Me alone, Apsel, and Tom. The troops I lead will move towards the north, while the troops led by Apsel are moving towards the south. And the army led by Tom went towards the east. You guys understand?" ordered Emmett.
"Master, shouldn't we walk together? This is done to minimize unwanted events. This is the first time we have entered this forest without much knowledge about the Dark Forest," Tom argued anxiously.
Hearing this, Emmett sharpened his gaze. He approached Tom, who did not dare look into his leader's eyes. Instead, his head turned to one side with eyeballs pacing right and left.
"You mean, you're scared?" hissed Emmett, whose face was only about twenty centimeters away from Tom's.
"No, sir," Tom replied nervously in a tone of voice that sounded trembling.
"And then? Follow my orders, and don't say much!"
Emmett took a deep breath. He also returned to the position where he had previously stood.
"Is there still the same as Tom here? Scared like a coward. Exist? If there is, go back home and gather with your wife and children," Emmett exclaimed as if to whip the mentality of his male citizens.
All of them shook their heads at Emmett's fight. For them, at this time, Emmett seemed to be more sinister than the Jotuns themselves. Finally, the three groups that had also been formed scattered according to their directions. In addition, they also agreed to regroup in the first place before they spread when the sun began to sink. Each of them carried a very long rope to tie to one tree as a director of the way home.
Meanwhile, Volka had just completed his task ordered by Rudolf. The study was to gather the inhabitants of the Dark Forest in a Howa cave. But unfortunately, there are not many inhabitants in the woods, and the Jotuns living in the cave dominate most.
"Sir, all the forest inhabitants, are already in this cave," Volka reported to Rudolf.
"Ah, thank you, Volka. I have also ordered the Jotuns not to leave the cave until there is a further order from me," Rudolf retorted.
"Before, I'm sorry, sir. Because I can't convince your family of the arrival of humans, their trust in me may have been lost," Volka said. His face was pensive as if harboring the most profound regret.
"Volka. Supposedly, I apologized to you. But, because of me, the Jotuns hate you for no apparent reason. At that time, my emotions peaked because I saw my injured nephew. But, you don't have to worry, everything will be fine. As time passes, my family will accept you back," Rudolf concluded, calming Volka.
Warm smiles adorned the faces of the two, Volka and Rudolf. Now, the friendship between the two has begun to improve.
"Ah, I forgot to ask this. About your strength, are you sure you will do this just for us, Jotuns?" asked Rudolf.
"I have no one but you guys. So, that's not a big deal for me. You are my family, and fellow families should protect each other, right? After all, whether or not there is a force I have, I will still try my best to protect my family."
It was not without reason that Rudolf felt bad for Volka. A can camouflage on a reasonably large scale. In addition to protecting himself from a threat, he can disguise the surrounding environment. But unfortunately, he had that power only once during his life. He has never used that power during this time because he is still waiting for the right time to use it. And in his opinion, this is a good time. He offered his power to Rudolf to protect the inhabitants of the Forbanna forest, especially the Jotuns.
"But, what if at any time you will need that strength in a time of precarious situation?" asked Rudolf again.
"During the time I've lived, I've been through many hard times. So, I'm used to dealing with it without any strength once. Never mind, sir. You don't have to think about this. The most important thing is that your family is safe and protected," Volka explained with a kind smile.
Moments later, a banging sound was probably not far from Howa's cave. Instantly, the voice distracted Volka and Rudolf. Then, without lingering, Volka rushed out of the cave and took out his abilities.
"I'll be on guard over Howa's cave to keep an eye on the circumstances. While you are, sir. Stand guard at the mouth of the cave to make sure nothing happens."
