Food wars!(v2)
A/n: Decided to redo the plot about tatsuya and miyuki. Now that I think about it. It's pretty shit and I had the greatest tunnel vision when writing it.....I literally did not consider hideo's relationships and friends.
A/n: you can skip the flashback if you want. It's just to put more context on what is happened to him when he hadnt recovered his memory. I suggest reading it, but if you don't want to you can read the summarization below the flashback.
-hideo recalled all the memory inside him-
he was in a pretty wealthy family and was childhood friends with erina. they would play happily as a child with alice and he remembered when alice baked a cake for erina, seeing her reaction hideo laughed at them as erina snatched her stuff toy.
"the food you baked tasted so bad, I don't want to eat the rest..."
time passed by, while hideo and erina was playing. jouichiro is visiting senzaemon, erina's grandfather. smelling the food coming from the food. they couldn't help but get hungry.
"you can eat some if you want...here" jouichiro said then got to the kitchen and he put another plate down on the table for hideo and erina.
looking at this artwork of a dish, hideo started to eat with erina and her grandfather. seeing erina's reaction hideo felt like he wants to see it again and got motivated. this became a good memory for hideo as he wants to make food taste as good as this and impress erina. erina on the other hand only thought of improving her skill as a chef and started to work harder.
hideo started to work harder on learning how to cook. since he has no talent, his parents gave up on him to being a cook. Hideo was not interested in cooking.
a lot of time passed by, he made a food for erina. she tasted it and made a disgusted face.
"this is not good...but I like the effort!" erina said then tried to eat the rest.
"you'll see! I will make the best dish you could taste!" hideo said then left with a pained expression as he worked hard for it.
"why did you say that? it wasn't that bad!" alice said as she put a food inside her mouth
"It didn't taste good for me....he has to put more effort into it!"
"well, he did put a lot of effort into it. it's just your 'god tongue'!"
"hmph!"
a week passed, alice decided to go to denmark to learn the field of molecular gastronomy. they promised each other to send letters when they can. of coruse, hideo was pretty sad to part with alice.
hideo on the other hand, continued to put more effort into cooking and would serve erina his dishes. this goes on for months, hideo would cook for erina and would come back to his home putting more effort to cooking. while erina's cooking is improving faster with the guide of her grandfather and her natural talent. while hideo stayed mediocre, erina is making names for herself. since Hideo is focused on learning to cook with his father, he was ignorant of the news about erina making a name for herself.
six months, passed by hideo was excited for his new dish, but was turned down to visit erina. the next morning he came back with his dish, bit got turned down again by azami.
after a week, he was permitted to go inside and went to meet erina.
"enjoy! erina!" hideo said excitedly as he serve his dish in front of erina
"this bad! the flavoring is bad and the timing of the cooking! it taste like I'm eating a dust just from how dry it is..." she started to criticize his dish harshly then threw it away in the bin.
hideo started to feel frustrated, but he can't help and notice the behavior change to erina.
"leave now! I won't taste your mediocre food ever again!" she said with her back on hideo
"s-sorry, erina for making a bad dish, but what happened to you?" hideo asks erina as he felt something inside him, telling him that erina is becoming too far away.
"get out now..."
"b-but-"
"get out now! I don't want to see you and eat your mediocre food again!" erina yelled angrily making hideo shut up.
He run away from her and got back home, he started crying as he kneel down the floor inside his house
"what happened, hideo?" his father asks in concern. his father was happy for him as he is making good progress on his cooking. when hideo asked him to teach him how to cook. he was happy, since hideo wasn't interested in cooking.
"n-nothing.." he went to the library then saw a newspaper, in it is a news about alice and erina. it's titled "the young chef prodigies!"
looking at the accomplishments of both of his friends he was happy, but at the same time sad as he wasn't able to make a name for himself. soon, he felt like he will be left behind by erina and alice. imagining them leaving him behind as he only turn to a mediocre chef. he couldn't take it as he started to obsessively train.
after years, he was able to accomplish some achievements, making his own little restaurant, he was pretty proud of himself as the people who ate his food really loved his cooking. but whenever he see articles about erina, he couldn't help but cry as he want to meet erina and alice again.
he is 15 years old now, hearing erina is in the totsuki gakuen. he enrolled himself to the school and wanted to imrpove his talent on everything.

Tl:dr hideo tried his best to impress erina when he saw her reaction to jouichiro's dish. So he decided to devote himself to cooking again. Making Erina taste his dishes day by day trying to get her approval, but nothing worked. She wouldn't make the reaction that he wanted. He worked harder and harder to studying culinary. one day, erina changed and the dishes he made for her, she threw them in the garbage and told him to get out of her life and she doesn't want to taste any mediocre foo anymore. Time passed by, he was able to make his own diner and was pretty proud of it, but whenever he hear about erina and alice's accomplishment he couldn't help but remember the old time.

"it seems like my skill was sealed as well, huh?' hideo sighed as he remember everything then started cleaning the kitchen
'a chef should be able to clean his own kitchen...why didn't you do it stupid hideo!' hideo criticized himself as he clean up the mess he left.
since tomorrow is the entrance exam day of the totsuki gakuen, he relax himself at home. getitng a call from his dad he answered it.
"are you really gonna enroll there? I know you want to improve yourself as a chef, but are you sure you can survive that hell?"
"dad, I'm sure I can do it"
"okay, if that's what you want I will support you, but make sure to not get beaten by anyone"
"Yeah, I'm sure I won't be defeated"
in another world, 14 years ago...
"whose baby is this? it suddenly came from maya and miya's room. which one came from miya?" genzou's wife asks him
"the girl is from miya's room and the boy is from maya's room"
"is this their child? and they only want us to take care of it?" his wife asks as she is confused why this two babies is inside her daughters room
"let's visit their home tomorrow and ask them ourselves. yosh! yosh! you two really looks like your mothers"
"they really do..."
going to hideo's home they frowned as they didn't find anyone inside. they then decided to go to the laboratory that hideo owned.
"is hideo here?" genzou asks hibiki while holding two babies
"no, sir! hideo san is not here..." hibiki answered
"what about maya or miya?"
"sorry we haven't seen them"
"where did they go?"
a month passed by, they were looking through out hideo's house and found a book that says "diary"
genzou started reading it as he wants to find something about what happened to hideo and his daughter. his wife was concerned as well not only for her daughter, but for her grandchildren as well. they might grow up without any parents.
reading the diary out loud. he stumbled upon a page....
"dear diary, I have been getting signs that I might be pregnant, if I am pregnant I want to name it asuka if its a girl and if its a boy I will name it tatsuya. I asked miya about what she will name her children if she got pregnant and she answered....'if it's a girl I will name it miyuki and if its a boy I will name it shouta'.."
reading through all of it they didn't get any clue of where his daughter and son in law is.
"let's give them their names" his wife suggested after reading through the diary.
"but what about their decision"
"if they didn't come back for a while, our grandchild won't have any name..."
"that is true, but..."
"it already says in the diary! let's name it based on it"
genzou nodded then they decided on the name based on the diary.
they named the girl miyuki, while the boy 'tatsuya'.

7 years passed by, tatsuya and miyuki started to train with their assigned master.
They would visit hibiki from time to time to listen to stories about their parents that his grandparents doesn't know about.
"Heeee~? Then what happened next?" The two asks hibiki eagerly.
"Your father rushed towards the dahan's and started to destroy their bases and kill all of them. Just to prove to your grandparents that he is the best magician and he is worthy of your mothers."
"Dad is the best! I heard from uncle kouichi that when they were a kid, mother almost got kidnapped by the dahan's Father sacrificed himself so that mother won't suffer... so cool!" The cute tatsuya said as with a bright smile.
"B-but, where is our mother and father?" Miyuki asks a she clings onto tatsuya. Hibiki's face turned into a sad one as he felt the pain of not having your own parents with you.
"We don't know....there is something strange that happened to them. I'm sure they will come back and tell you all their stories"
Time passed by, tatsuya became the head of the laboratory that hideo made. Hibiki found that tatsuya's talent is as high as hideo when it comes to cad's and as a respect to hideo he made tatsuya the head of the laboratory.
"Mom, dad. Me and miyuki will do our best as your son" tatsuya muttered as they look towards the sunset inside the house of their parents.
Ignorant of this hideo was taking a nap on the couch.
